hey everyone. this is the joint story Why Didn't I written by Trista and myself. i will be writing the first chapter soon. until then enjoy the prologue and be sure to let us know what you think. thanks. oh and the prologue is in Nick's POV if anyone was wondering.

Prologue (written by Trista)

They say that you don’t know what you’ve got until it’s gone. And I know very well how true that is.

Something amazing happened to me and even though she was there all along, I didn’t even realize it until I was leaving her behind. The way I felt for her was unlike anything I had ever felt before. Her hair, her eyes, her laugh. Everything that was her was everything that I loved. I hid my feelings, thinking that they were just stupid desires. But if I had only known the way she felt…

Maybe it would all be different. Maybe instead of wanting to be with her, I would be right by her side. Maybe instead of regretting everything I do, I would be holding on to all my memories like I would never want to let go.

I know now that what I did was wrong. And even though I want her back, it’s clear she doesn’t want me. And having to see her every day tortures me more than anything.

I keep thinking, why didn’t i? Why didn’t I just stop being so afraid? Why did I take so long to tell her how I truly felt? Why?

i'm gonna try and start the first chapter probably after i get some sleep so it will probably be tomorrow.
i have to babysit my niece on friday so if i don't get it done tomorrow then i'll try to work on it more saturday.
