Note: The boys are not famous.

Isabelle took a deep breath. Just inside the doors she was facing was the entire population of her small town, her family, his family, and the love of her life. She gripped the stems of the bouquet of flowers she held in her hands and breathed deeply again. She was ready to do this. She wasn’t too young, (even though she was eighteen,) and she loved him. With all of her heart.

“Are you ready?” her best friend Beth whispered. Isabelle glanced at her through her veil and saw the excitement in her friend’s face. She offered a nervous smile and nodded, saying, “As ready as I’ll ever be.”

The music began and the doors opened. The congregation stood up, their eyes expectant to see the beautiful bride that the Jonas boy was marrying.

Isabelle found her father standing near the beginning of the aisle and she gratefully let him take her elbow. They walked slowly down the white carpeted aisle, Isabelle making eye contact with some of her cousins, some of his, and smiling as his parents came into view.

Then, she saw him. He stood at the altar, smiling happily. He was breathtaking, the whiteness of the tuxedo shirt contrasting greatly with his tan. Their eyes met and she felt her heart speed up as she was completely lost in those brown pools.

It was only when her father squeezed her hand that she woke from her hypnotic state. She kissed her father’s cheek and smiled as he placed her hand in her love’s.

“Hi,” he whispered, his eyes playful as they always were. “You’re beautiful.” It was what he had said when they first met.

“You’re not too bad yourself, handsome,” she replied with a wink. It was how their first conversation had gone.

“Dearly beloved,” the preacher began, “we are gathered here today…”

Throughout the preacher’s speech, they just stared into each other’s eyes. There was no congregation, there was no preacher, there was no wedding. Just them, communicating their love for each other through their eyes and brilliant smiles.

“Do you, Joseph Adam, take Isabelle Marie to be your lawfully wedded wife?”

Joe smiled a little and nodded. “I do, with everything in me.” He whispered the last part so only Isabelle could hear.

“And do you, Isabelle Marie, take Joseph Adam to be your lawfully wedded husband?”

“I do, with everything in me,” she said, in the same manner as Joe.

“I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.”

Joe drew her close and pressed his lips against hers, longer than what was customary. He pulled away, tears shining in his eyes. They smiled brightly at each other as the preacher announced, “Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you for the very first time, Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Jonas!”

Her heart did somersaults as they walked back down the aisle as the congregation applauded. She was his and he was hers.

Forever.

This is just the beginning. Expect big changes. BIG changes. Anyway, did you like it?

Ooh, and just a note: this DOESN'T take place in 2009. This takes place much, much before now. =] When that time is, you decide.

That was crazy good. :]
And I'm pretty sure I know where this is going.
If it's anything like the Carrie Underwood song that is.
Post More Soon. :]

Thanks, Jessica! Your comments were appreciated immensely. :)

And yeah, this is based off of "Just a Dream" by Carrie Underwood [link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8khHqMntkbQ ] I listened to it randomly one day and for some reason I got really emotional, so I decided to write something based off it.

Part two soon. :)

Part Two

“Something wrong?” Isabelle set his breakfast in front of him and slid into the seat across the table. She took in her husband’s stormy expression and wondered what could possibly be wrong. They’d been married about two months now, and those two months had been pure bliss. Had she done something wrong? Something to make him this way? She reached over and took his hand in hers. He didn’t flinch away, so she assumed it wasn’t her.

“I…got something in the mail yesterday,” he said quietly, squeezing her hand. He lifted his eyes to hers and she saw sadness in them. “Belle, I got drafted. I’ll be fighting in the war.”

Her breath caught her in throat and she stared at him in disbelief. “Drafted?” she breathed, and when he nodded she bit her lip fiercely and felt like she couldn’t breathe. “Wh-When do you -”

“The day after tomorrow,” he replied.

She gasped and gripped his hand harder. Her heart hurt with the thought that she was losing him already. She let out a sob and stood, her chair scraping against the tile. She ran from the room, ignoring his calls for her to come back. She ran to their room and flopped on the bed, burying her face into her pillow.

She heard footsteps and felt weight on the end of the bed. A warm hand found her foot and tickled the skin, making her giggle through her tears. She sat up, sniffling, wiping away her tears as she looked at him.

“C’mere,” he said, and pulled her close. “Listen, Belle, it’s going to be fine. The war’s almost over and I probably won’t even see action. I’ll send you boring letters about barrack life and you’ll laugh because all these tears aren’t even worth it.” He rubbed her arms and pressed a kiss to the top of her head. “I’ll be home before you know it.”

Isabelle sighed and snuggled closer to him. “But it’s so… soon,” she whispered, biting her lip. That feeling of suffocation overwhelmed her again and she took a shuddering breath. “It feels like I just got to keep you.”

“I know, sweet,” he said, stroking her hair, “but think about it this way. I’ll be G.I. Joe!”

They laughed, the sadness disappearing for the moment. “Believe me, beautiful,” he said, becoming serious, “there’s nothing to worry about, okay? I love you, and that’s all that matters.”

She nodded and kissed his lips. “I love you more,” she replied, a smile breaking across her face.

He scoffed playfully and said, “Not possible, Belle dear.”

“How would you know?” She stood, placing her hands on her hips. “Besides, I was the one to say ‘I love you’ first when we were dating.” She saw the look on his face and she laughed. “Race you downstairs!” she shouted, and ran into the hallway. She didn’t even get to the stairs before she felt his hands on her waist, spinning her ‘round and his lips on hers in a passionate kiss.

And for a moment, that draft card didn’t even exist.

Note from Jay:

I know it’s short, but it’s prepping for what’s to come. Thanks to all the reviews! They’re really appreciated.
