Chapter - Intro

My fingers trembled as my fingertips graced her dead flesh. A tear streamed down my pale cheek and slid down onto her lifeless body. I held her closer... never wanting to let go of her.... "I'm not going to let you die.." I whispered into her ear. I picked up her frail body and held her in my arms. "You killed her Nick.... you killed her..." he said. My hands came up to my face. "No... no I didn't.... Noo... NOO!!!" I screamed back. I lunged at him but he ducked to the side. I fell to the ground.... closed my eyes and cried. I woke up in a cold sweat. I looked down at my bare chest and noticed it glistening. I wiped it away and sighed. I have been having the same nightmare for 20 years.... and no... i'm not 20. I am 104 years old. I sunk my teeth into a blood-red apple. Yup, you guessed it... im a vampire. I sulked into my kitchen and took out a syringe from my drawer weakly. I injected blood right into my veins. My eyes rolled to the back of my head and my fangs came out. I licked my lips and put the syringe back in the drawer. I guess you could call me one of the nicer vampires... I don't feed on human flesh. I have a friend who works at a mourge.... he deals me large amounts of blood so I can beat the hunger and stay alive... I shuffeled into the bathroom and ran a comb through my long, brown, curly locks. I looked up at my reflection and saw my blood red eyes turn back to the normal light brown as my hunger ceased. I blinked and looked away. I hate the monster looking back at me. He's done so many bad things.... especially to people he loves.... the girl I loved.. I flinched and turned out the bathroom light. I collapsed on my bed.(yes vampires do sleep in beds...) I twirled Sarah's bracelet in my fingers. Sarah.... the nightmare.... I could have saved her from him but.... i'm so weak!!.... I haven't shed a tear since that day she died. Of course I can't..... vampires can't feel... it's physically impossible... I don't know it but... i'm going to meet a girl who will change my very existence.

and just 2 let you know... nick is supposed to be like... 17. so.... yeah. ha.

Chapter 2

I winced from the light as I ran down the stairs. I ducked under trees as I walked to my car. I jumped in and drove to my brother's house. I went upstairs and saw Kevin feeding on someone. "Gross.." I muttered. Kevin looked up. "Don't worry... i'm not killing any of your little human friends.... it's another vamp tramp..... HHAAA aren't I so clever?" he said. I rolled my eyes and plopped onto his black couch. "How's... life?" I asked. "Long... as usual..." he answered, crossing his arms over his chest. "What about Joe?" I asked. "Joe... he's fine... I think he comes back from Romania soon..." he replied. I nodded. Kevin came closer, he lifted my chin up. "You look so weak.... I think you need a partner.... it's not like your killing humans or anything.." Kevin started. "No.... I will never get a vampire partner.... I can't be bound to someone like that... especially when I probably won't love them in the first place.. no" I said. Kevin shook his head. "You can't live like this forever... you know what it does to you..." he said shaking his head. "I don't need your commentary..." I mumbled. "Let me tell you... I bet you three pints of blood that you fall in love with a WEAK human girl..." Kevin said. "What?!.... that's insanity... we would never be able to be together.... I mean... I live forever and... eventually... she would..." I started. "Die" Kevin finished. "Thanks for putting it so harshly.." I said. Kevin laughed. "Life is harsh when you have no feeling..... no love.... it's just... forever darkness" he said. I rolled my eyes. "God... your so morbid.." I said. "I could be a poet!!" Kevin yelled. "Like edgar allen poe.... your gonna kill yourself??" I teased. Kevin shot me a dirty look. "I have to go... the sun is getting to my head.." I complained. "Be careful bro...." Kevin warned, worried. "Why?.... what's going on?" I asked. "Nothing it's just.... I feel like something bad is going to happen to you..." he said. I raised a brow. "Forget it..." he said. I hugged Kev and left. I bumped into Joe on my way out. "Hey bro!!! wASSUUUP?" he asked. Hmmm.... he is probably the happiest vampire I know... and the most naive... which is weird since i'm the youngest... "I'm good, you?" I asked. "Awesome!!.... wanna go to the club tonight??" he asked. "Uhh... sure... I have nothing else to do..." I answered. "Awesometastic!!" Joe said. Wow....

I took another sip of my drink but still felt empty.... I looked up inside and saw a girl up onstage with a guitar. She started to sing a ballad. HHmmm... pretty voice. It was soothing.... she smiled and jumped offstage again. I whipped around and bumped into her by accident. "I"m sorry" I apologized. "It's alright" she replied. I titled my head and observed her... She had long blonde, wavy hair. Her eyes were bright green and her smile was infectious. Her body was unnaturally tan and thin. She laughed. "What's your name?" I asked. "That depends..... who do you think I look like?" she asked. I looked her over. "You look like an.... Elizabeth" I answered. She giggled. I blushed. "Was I way off?" I asked. "Sunset.... my name is Sunset" she answered. I raised a brow. "That's an unusal name..." I answered.

Sunset-

I looked this boy up and down.... he was unbelievable. He had a flawlessly perfect face and a crooked grin. His eyes were a beautiful light brown... His long, brown, curly hair spilled over his face and fell over one eye. He was tradgically beautiful and.... almost unbearable to look at. "I... I.... what... what's your name?" I asked. He looked suprised. He winked. I tilted my head confused. "Sun..." someone said behind me, tapping me on the shoulder. "We have to go soon...." Melissa said. "I... I... okay.... hold on" I said. I turned back around and he was gone. But... I didn't even get his name.... "It's Nick.." a husky voice whispered into my ear. I whipped around but there was noone there... "Sun... are you okay?" Mel asked. "Umm... yeah... I think so..." I replied. I looked back to the spot where the beautfiul boy stood and scratched my head. Nick...
