Ch 2.
We were interrupted by the Jonas family and other band member rushing over to see how Joe was.
‘Dude, are you alright?” said Nick looking freaked out, Kevin was behind him looking just as worried.
“Yeh, I’m fine…thanks to Jenny here.” He said gesturing to me.
Mr. Jonas and the police walked on the stage and came over to us.
“I can’t thank you enough.” said Mr. Jonas tightly embracing Joe.
“Dad…I’m fine,” said Joe. “I…can’t…breathe…”he said as he finally pulled away from his fathers grasp.
“The rest of the show is cancelled obviously, and there is definitely no meet and greet.” Said Mr. Jonas shaking his head. “The police are investigating…”he turned to me and said “I’m sorry I haven’t got your name, you are?”
Just as I was about to say ‘Jenny Prince, CIA’ Ben’s loud voice buzzed in my ear.
“Don’t blow your cover; boss’s orders.” I looked towards the back of the stage where Ben was lounging about helping the stage hands clear set. I turned and faced Mr Jonas with a smile.
“I’m Jenny Prince; it’s a pleasure to meet you” I said offering my hand. Mr Jonas shook it and gave me a grateful smile.
A police officer came over to us.
“Heroic efforts young lady.” The officer said shaking my hand. “If you don’t mind a private word?” he said pulling me away from everyone to the back of the stage where we could talk privately.
“Did you manage to catch the gunman?” I asked the officer.
“Yes, we did apprehend him as he was leaving, thanks to this young fellow.” He pointed to Ben. Ben noticed and walked over to us.
“Do you two youngsters remember anything else about tonight?” he asked.
“There wasn’t really anything else; thanks to Ben we have the guy.” I replied as I gave Ben a nod.
“You two know each other?” said the officer surprised. I laughed and Ben said
“Dude, we’re partners.” The officer smiled and looked at us.
“Well, what a power pair! You should be proud of your girlfriend for saving Joe Jonas’ life.” He said smiling broadly. Ben stared at him, “She’s not my girlfriend she’s my partner!” he cried.
“Shhh!” I said hushing him as we got looks from the sound tech guys.
“I thought you would have been informed.” I said confused.
“Informed of what, may I ask?” asked the officer, getting slightly annoyed.
“Of the CIA operation that was going on tonight…we’re CIA” I said.
The officer laughed loudly this time, as Ben shook his head in disbelief. He soon stopped laughing when we both produced our CIA badges and ID.
“Oh…” was all he could manage.
“Don’t worry about it.” Ben said patting the officer on the back.
“Ben, let’s go, give me a ride home?” I asked.
“Sure, also the Boss wanted us at HQ by 0700 tomorrow morning.”
“Argh…okay” I said yawning. 7am didn’t seem that far away.
“I’ll meet you out front, I’ll just say bye to everyone else.” Ben nodded and walked out.
I headed back on stage and over to the Jonas family.
“Jenny, we truly can’t thank you enough for saving Joe.” Said Mr Jonas sincerely.
“Yeh, I might not have been here without your rescue.” Joe said with a smile.
“It’s really no problem, well…” I looked at everyone. “I actually have to go. It was great meeting you all.” I said as I got hugged by Mr Jonas, Kevin, Nick and lastly Joe.
“Hey, I hope to see you round…really” Joe added. I nodded and smiled and I took one last look at him and walked out to Ben’s car.
Anyway, i promise there will be tonnes more Jonas in it, just bear with me while I get the storyline down. Hope you liked it!
