Hey guys! Thanks for the comments, you're all awesome :) Here is chapter six! Happy Reading!
Ch 6
I jumped off the bed and went into Joe’s room where he was lying on his bed listening to his iPod. I walked over to him and pulled out an earphone.
“Joe…are you okay?” I asked unsurely. He sat up and made room for me, so I sat cross legged opposite him at the end of his bed.
“Yeah, I’m fine.” He muttered looking around his room. Okay, he shouldn’t lie to me, because I can tell when he is, partly CIA and partly because I just could.
“Are you sure?” I asked again looking at him.
“Uhuh…I didn’t mean to walk in on your conversation with your boyfriend.” He said looking up at me. I was surprised, and then I started laughing. What is it with everyone thinking Ben and I are dating! I thought.
“What’s so funny?” asked Joe raising an eyebrow.
“Ben is NOT my boyfriend, he’s just a friend. I don’t have a boyfriend.” I explained.
“Oh…” Said Joe, he looked up at me and gave a little smile. Was Joe jealous before, of me and Ben? He can’t be…after all, we don’t really know each other, even though I get lost in his eyes every time I look at him.
“It’s fine.” I said smiling back.
“I know, let’s play twenty questions, ten each.” Said Joe sitting up straighter.
“Okay, you go first.” I said. 20 questions wasn’t a great game to play when you were undercover, but I guess it would be fine.
“Okay, question one what’s your favourite colour?” Said Joe. I started laughing.
“What?” he asked.
“You have ten questions and you decide to ask me my favourite colour?” I replied grinning.
“Hey, favourite colour is important!” Said Joe in defence.
“Alright, alright, umm, I don’t exactly have one, but I’d say yellow.”
“Now your question?” He prompted.
“What is your most embarrassing moment?”
“Well…I don’t get embarrassed that easily, but for a concert I had a hole in my pants the entire time, and I didn’t even notice. That’s pretty embarrassing.” He exclaimed.
“Okay, favourite TV show?” He asked.
“Heroes, hands down! You?”
“Heroes! That show rocks!”
“I know!”
I thought for a while. “Would you rather lose Frankie or not be able to laugh…EVER again?” I narrowed my eyes.
“Definitely lose Frankie!”
“Joe!” I pushed him back.
“Kidding! Keep Frankie, lose the laugh. So do you have a brother?”
“Yep.”
“How old is he?”
“Ten.”
“What’s his name?”
“Tim.”
“Cool.” He replied.
“You know you lost like five questions there.” I pointed out.
“Darn it! Oh well, my next few will be awesome.”
“So what would you do if you were stuck on a desert island, by yourself?”
Joe tapped his fingers against his chin, looking thoughtful.
“I would sing SOS as loud as I could.”
“Haha, I’m sure everyone will be able to hear you…” I said sarcastically.
“I have a supernatural voice, EVERYONE can hear it” Joe said practically screaming out the ‘everyone’ to emphasize his super ability.
“Sure, they can…”I said patting Joe on the knee.
“It’s true.”
“C’mon you’d sing SOS; this is a life or death situation!”
“Alright,” Joe pondered for a moment, “Yeah I’d sing SOS.”
“Okay, I can see that I’m not going to get a better answer.” Joe shook his head like a little kid.
“Nope, so when’s your birthday?” he asked.
“January 22nd” I said as I grabbed a pillow from behind Joe.
“What year were you born?”
“1990”
“What is your worst nightmare that you have ever had?” I asked.
Joe’s eyes suddenly went wide and he started pouring out his dream.
“Wellll, I was in this cupboard and then I got out of it, and I was in a kitchen. Then things became alive…like toasters and stuff. Then this giant marshmallow man started chasing me and then I woke up.” He finished, after his story.
“How is that a nightmare?” I asked laughing.
“Hello, I couldn’t eat the marshmallow man, it was torture!” He said. I threw a pillow at him.
“Hey!” he cried. “Fine, what is your greatest fear?” I looked down and thought to myself. I don’t really have and fears, nothing really scares me except…
“Losing someone I love.” I said quietly out loud and looked up at Joe. He didn’t laugh but just sat there in a way that showed he understood.
“I guess that’s everyone’s greatest fear” He said and looked at me. I nodded, geez trust me to make a fun game go deep.
“Come on, let’s go watch some TV.” Said Joe, grabbing my hands and pulling me off the bed. “After today my dad will probably have you working tonnes.” I groaned I had completely forgotten that I actually had to do work experience while doing my actual job…not fun, not fun at all.
