This is my first fanfic, and so please don't be mean!
Late November of 2000, Wyckoff, New Jersey
Thirteen year old Summer Williams and her best friend Stephanie King walked through their school hallway, struggling to get to their eighth grade American History class. Summer was looking at all of the posters on the hallway walls advertising the eighth grade dance , the next night.
“Hey, Stephanie, do you want to come over tonight, and we can get you ready for tomorrow?”
Stephanie shot her friend a sympathetic glance before saying “Yeah that would be great”?
Stephanie was going with her boyfriend while Summer didn’t have a date. Suddenly, Summer heard someone calling her name and turned around to see Kevin Jonas walking towards her wearing a big smile on his face. Summer smiled and turned to Stephanie to check and see of she had anything in her teeth. Stephanie gave the thumbs up and quickly walked away.
“Hi”
“Hi”
“So, Uhh are you going to the dance tomorrow.”
“Not yet.”
“Well, do you want to go with me?”
“I’d love to go with you.”
Summer smiled and looked at Kevin. He walked her to her class and Summer walked through the door with a gigantic smile all ready starting to form on her face.

“And, then he walked you to class? Oh, that’s so cute!
Summer and Stephanie were in Summer’s room doing their nails and talking about how Kevin asked her out. Suddenly, a loud beeping interrupted their gossiping. Summer ran over to her computer and checked her email.
“Oooohhh, Kevin’s Iming me!!”
Kjonas13: My dad says he can drive us tomorrow.
Summer turned away from her computer and toward Stephanie. They erupted into a squeal of girlish laughter and gossiping for the rest of the nigh and when Summer went to bed that night all she could think of was the dance tomorrow.

Summer ran her hands over her dress, checking her reflection in the mirror for one last time making sure she looked perfect. She smiled at her reflection in the mirror and heard the doorbell ringing. She took a deep breath, grabbed her purse and walked downstairs. Kevin was waiting patiently at the door.
“You Ready.”
“Yeah.”
Summer smiled and Kevin and her left the house to got to the car. It was the beginning if a long and beautiful relationship.
