Chapter 3:
“Joe, if you were a girl, what would this shirt say to you?” Nick asked, tugging on the plaid button up shirt he was wearing, as he walked into his brother’s room.
“Um… It says ‘Hi, I like plaid’,” Joe smirked, as he slipped his gray sport coat over his black wife beater.
“Seriously Joe,” Nick groaned, “Does it say, ‘hi, I really like you and I’m trying to impress you’, or does it say ‘you’re just some random chick, and I don’t really care.’
“The second one,” he said, straightening out his jacket.
“What? Ugh…” Nick groaned, quickly unbuttoning his shirt, revealing the white t-shirt he had underneath.
“Hey! Don’t leave that in here!” Joe exclaimed, as Nick threw his shirt on the floor.
“Come on,” Joe sighed, grabbing Nick’s shoulder and guiding him back to his own room, “I have to do everything for you.”
They entered Nick’s room, and Joe walked over to Nick’s closet. He pulled out a red cardigan, and threw it at Nick.
“Just wear the t-shirt you’re wearing now, with that overtop,” he said, “Girls like that kind of thing.”
“Are you sure? I really want Chrystal to like me,” Nick said, pulling the cardigan over his shoulders.
“I know what I’m talking about man, and I’m pretty sure Chrystal already likes you.”
“I dunno… she might change her mind.”
Joe rolled his eyes at Nick, “You can be such an idiot sometimes.”
“Speak for yourself,” Nick mumbled.
“Whatever… at least I know that Aisling really likes me… and I know that she isn’t going to change her mind. And I’m not letting this one go this time,” Joe said, a serious expression on his face.
“But we’ve never dated fans before, Joe… what if-“
“You like Chrystal, right?” Joe asked.
“Yeah… she’s beautiful… and after only talking to her for one night, I’m already so comfortable with her,” Nick said, a small smile crawling onto his lips, at the very thought of Chrystal
“Then it shouldn’t matter if they’re fans or not,” Joe said.
“Yeah, you’re right,” Nick smiled, “I can’t wait for tonight.”
“Me neither, it’s going to be an amazing night,” Joe said, an excited smile on his face.
“Where do you think we’re going?” Chrystal asked, standing in front of the mirror in her room, as Aisling got ready in the bathroom that adjoined between their two rooms.
“I’m sure it’s somewhere amazing, I mean… these are two Jonas men we’re talking about here,” Aisling smiled to herself, as she zipped up her dress.
“Can you believe this is happening, Ais?” Chrystal smiled, straightening out her green strapless dress.
“I really can’t… but I’m definitely glad that it is.” Aisling ran her brush through her hair one last time, and stepped into Chrystal’s room.
“Oh man Ais…” Chrystal chuckled, smiling at her, “Joe isn’t going to be able to keep his hands off of you.”
“That’s the plan hun,” Aisling smiled, smoothing out her black halter dress, that was fairly low cut, showing off just the right amount of cleavage, and hugging every curve, “You look amazing too.”
“Eh… thanks… I’m not sure if-“
“Nick’s going to think you look amazing Chrys,” Aisling smiled.
“Thanks,” Chrystal smiled, blushing slightly.
Just as Aisling headed back through the bathroom to grab her shoes, she heard a knock on the door.
“I’ll get it!” Chrystal called out.
Chrystal glanced in the mirror one last time, smoothing out her hair and her dress. She walked quickly out of her room towards the front door. She took every step incredibly carefully, because she was wearing heals. She could barely walk without tripping normally, let alone when she was wearing heals.
She grabbed the doorknob, and pulled the door open. She was immediately greeted by two very handsome Jonas men.
“Hey guys,” she smiled, keeping her eyes locked on Nick. She watched him as his jaw dropped slightly, his eyes scanning over her from head to toe.
“Wow…” he said quietly, his eyes locking with hers again. Chrystal couldn’t help but blush at Nick’s intense stare.
‘He looks amazing,’ Chrystal thought to herself, as her eyes scanned over Nick as well. He flashed her a crooked smile, and her dirty mind immediately went into overdrive.
She stepped through the doorway towards Nick, grabbing him by the shoulders and pulling him into the apartment. She slammed him up against the wall right next to the door, and forcefully pressed her lips to his. Nick moaned against her lips, his arms wrapping tightly around her waist. She ground her hips against his slightly, causing Nick to throw his head back-
“Chrystal? Are you ok?” Nick asked, breaking her from her intense daydream.
“Oh… um…” she shook her head slightly, clearing her mind, “Yeah, I’m great. Come on in!”
The boys stepped into the apartment, and Nick walked over to Chrystal, wrapping his arms around her tightly. Chrystal smiled against his chest, and when he released her, she got up on her tiptoes to kiss his cheek softly. Nick smiled sweetly down at her, his eyes twinkling with happiness.
Chrystal moved over to Joe, giving him a hug, but he quickly pulled away when he spotted Aisling come around the corner. His jaw dropped as she smiled sexily at him. His eyes scanned over her, taking in every amazing curve.
She walked over to him, and immediately wrapped her arms around him. His hands slid up and down her back, as he pressed a kiss to her cheek.
“Hi Joe,” she smiled, as they pulled apart.
“Hey,” he whispered huskily, his hands still resting on her hips.
“So are you girls ready to go?” Nick asked, his eyes still locked with Chrystal’s.
“Yes,” Aisling smiled, “We’re so excited.” Chrystal nodded in agreement, smiling happily.
“Hopefully you’ll both like what we have planned,” Joe smiled, his arms sliding around Aisling’s waist.
“I’m pretty sure I would like anything involving being around you,” Aisling smiled, leaning in closer to Joe.
“That’s good to know,” Joe smiled, “But I’m not sure there will be a piano where we’re going.”
“Oh darn,” Aisling giggled.
“So where are we going?” Chrystal asked, look from Joe and Aisling, back to Nick.
“It’s a surprise,” Nick smiled.
“I like surprises,” Chrystal giggled, grabbing one of Nick’s hands, and lacing her fingers with his. Nick smiled down at her, giving her hand a gentle squeeze.
“Ok, let’s head out,” Joe said, grabbing Aisling’s hand and leading her out of the apartment, as Nick and Chrystal followed behind them.
They made their way to Joe’s car, and he opened the passenger side door for Aisling, helping her into her seat before walking over to the driver’s side. Nick opened the backdoor, and as Chrystal stepped down from the curb, she clumsily tripped, her legs giving out from under her. Nick reached towards her quickly, grabbing her around the waist before she went crashing to the ground. He pulled her firmly to his chest, wrapping his arms tightly around her waist.
“Good catch,” Chrystal giggled, blushing slightly, embarrassed that she tripped in front of Nick.
“You don’t look very comfortable in those shoes,” Nick said, looking down at her feet, as he carefully helped her into the car.
Chrystal was silent, and Nick took the opportunity to run around to the other side, sliding into the backseat next to Chrystal.
“Are they?” Nick asked, looking over at Chrystal as Joe pulled away form the curb.
“Are they what?” Chrystal asked, giving Nick a confused look.
“Your shoes? Are they comfortable?”
“Oh, it’s not that they’re uncomfortable… I just… I don’t usually wear heals. But they go with this dress… so… I’m wearing them.”
“Oh… ok…”
“I don’t usually wear dresses either,” Chrystal chuckled nervously.
“Then why did you?” Nick asked.
“Because I wanted to look nice for you,” she said, locking eyes with him, “I don’t wear dresses for just anyone.”
Nick smiled and grabbed her hand, “You look beautiful, but you would look beautiful in anything.”
Chrystal blushed, and bowed her head slightly, “Thanks,” she mumbled, “I guess I can start wearing jeans and sneakers again.”
“And I can wear my plaid shirts,” Nick mumbled.
“What?” Chrystal questioned.
“Oh… um… I was nervous about what to wear tonight… and I didn’t think a plaid button up would be good enough to wear on a date with you.”
“You’re kidding me right?” Chrystal giggled, looking at him again.
“Um… no, why?”
“Well first off, you never need to be nervous around me, and secondly… I think you look super hot in plaid,” she giggled.
“Oh man… I should have stuck with what I had on in the first place,” Nick groaned.
“Don’t worry about it handsome,” Chrystal said, resting her hand on his knee, “You look incredibly sexy right now, also.”
Chrystal saw a light blush creep across Nick’s cheeks, causing her to giggle quietly.
“Thanks,” he whispered. Chrystal smiled, and leaned in to kiss his cheek softly, causing Nick to smile happily.
“So, did you have any good dreams last night?” Aisling asked, smirking at Joe.
Joe glanced over at her, a grin forming on his lips.
“Yeah… I had some good ones,” he said, shrugging slightly.
“Oh really?” Aisling said, raising an eyebrow, “What were they about?”
“Well… there was this giant panda bear… and he was giving out ice cream cones… but he wouldn’t give me one… which kinda sucked… but he said he’d give me one if I danced… and so I did a little dance, and I got me ice cream cone! And it was one seriously good ice cream cone,” Joe said, in complete seriousness. Aisling looked at Joe with very little expression on her face, until she burst out laughing.
“You’re such a dork,” Aisling laughed.
Joe flashed a smile at her, reaching over to grab her hand, “You love it.”
“I do,” she smiled, lacing her fingers with his.
“Oh… and after the panda dream… I woke up, and when I felt asleep again, I had another dream. And that one was even better,” Joe smiled.
“Let me guess… giant parrots… giving out chocolate cake,” Aisling smirked.
“Nope… this one had this really sexy blonde… and we were in a room… and in the room was nothing but a piano,” Joe smiled at her.
“Oooo… sounds like fun,” Aisling giggled.
“Oh believe me baby, it was loads of fun.”
A few minutes later they finally arrived at their destination. Both guys helped their respective girl out of the car. Aisling and Chrystal looked around at their surroundings.
“We’re at the harbor,” Chrystal said, looking around at the water and all of the boats.
Aisling spotted a large cruise ship pulled up to the dock, “Are we…”
“Yep… we’re going on a dinner cruise,” Joe said, wrapping his arm around Aisling’s waist.
“Oooo… that’s so romantic,” Aisling giggled, leaning into his side.
“Being romantic is how I get the ladies,” Joe smirked, lifting his arms up and placing his hands behind his head.
“It’s definitely more than just about being romantic,” Aisling whispered seductively, running her fingertips down Joe’s chest. Joe chuckled quietly, and moved his hands down to rest on Aisling’s hips.
“This is going to be so amazing,” Chrystal smiled brightly, turning to face Nick.
“I’m glad you like it,” he smiled, “And Joe might act like it was all his idea… but it was mostly mine.” Nick winked, and wrapped his arms around Chrystal’s waist.
“Of course it was,” Chrystal smiled adoringly up at him.
“I hope you girls brought your flippy floppies, ‘cause we’re going on a boat!” Joe exclaimed, causing Aisling to giggle hysterically as both Nick and Chrystal rolled their eyes with small smiles.
The two couples made their way onto the boat, and claimed one of the many tables on the deck. It was a dinner cruise, so the inner part of the boat held a fully stocked buffet.
They all headed inside to fill their plates up with food before heading back to their table. Joe sat down next to Aisling, and she smiled at him.
“Hey Sailor,” Aisling whispered seductively, as she took a sip of her champagne, peering at Joe over the top of her glass.
“Hi,” he smirked at her, leaning over to run his hand down her thigh, stopping when he reached her bare knee, resting his hand there. Aisling loved the feeling of Joe’s warm hands on her skin.
“So, it’s too bad that we didn’t bring our bathing suits,” Chrystal said, “We could have gone swimming later.”
“Well… we could always go skinning dipping,” Joe smirked at Aisling.
“I’m up for that,” Aisling giggled, leaning closer to Joe, her hand sliding down his back.
“You know he’s just kidding, right?” Nick asked Chrystal to reassure her.
“I know… but that doesn’t mean I wouldn’t be up with for that too,” she smirked, “As long as it’s with you.”
Nick’s eyes widened, and he nearly choked on the food he was chewing. Chrystal loved how nervous she could make him.
“You know… I may be a nice, sweet girl, but I do have a bad side too,” Chrystal grinned, moving her face closer to Nick’s.
“I think I like that,” Nick smiled, their lips incredibly close.
“What about you? Do you have a bad side that the fans don’t know about?”
“Maybe you’ll just have to wait and find out,” Nick whispered huskily.
“I’m looking forward to it,” Chrystal smiled.
“Come on Ais,” Joe said, “Let’s leave these two lovebirds alone, and get this boat rocking.”
“Rocking huh? And how exactly do you plan we do that?” Aisling smirked.
“Hm… I think I have a few ideas,” Joe chuckled. Aisling smiled and got up from the table with Joe.
“I want to show you something,” Joe whispered into Aisling’s ear. Aisling smiled, grabbing Joe’s hand, excited for whatever he had up his sleeve.
He led her inside, past the buffet tables, and down the stairs, further into the ship. They stopped at a room that was much dimmer than the rest of the boat. There was music playing quietly, and other couples were dancing in the middle of the floor.
“Look,” Joe whispered, turning her slightly, and pointing to something on the other side of the room. Aisling gasped when she saw what he was pointing at.
“A piano,” she breathed, staring at the large white piano on the other side of the room.
‘Too bad there are so many people around, because if there weren’t… you might not be staying in that dress after all,” Joe smirked.
“Oh come on, Joe. You perform in front of thousands of people every day… is that so much different than doing this,” she smiled, gesturing to the piano.
“I’d rather not have naked pictures of me plastered on every tabloid,” Joe chuckled.
“Ooo… do you think I could get some of those pictures/” Aisling smirked, stepping closer to him, and wrapping her arms around his neck.
“Maybe one day,” he grinned, his lips not far from hers.
“Being on a boat makes me think of pirates,” Chrystal said, the pair now having moved to a small bench on the side of the deck, facing the water.
“Pirates?” Nick questioned, smirking at her.
“Yeah,” she smiled, “Pirates are so hot.”
“I bet you’d make a sexy pirate,” Nick smiled, wrapping his arm around her waist.
Chrystal giggled, “Thanks. Would you be my sexy pirate captain?”
“Aye aye!” Nick exclaimed, causing Chrystal to giggle as she stared into his eyes.
“And you would be my greatest treasure,” Nick smiled.
“Aw… you’re adorable,” Chrystal smiled, snuggling closer to Nick.
“And I’d plunder your booty every night,” Nick whispered, his lips right next to her ear. Chrystal gasped at his words, sitting up to look at him.
“Nick Jonas! You do have a bad side somewhere in there,” she giggled, poking his side playfully. Nick just flashed her a sexy smile, and wrapped his arm around her shoulders. He was looking forward to showing Chrystal just how bad he could be.
“Oooo… strawberries!” Aisling exclaimed, as they passed the buffet table again.
“Wanna get some and take them back out on the deck?” Joe asked. Aisling nodded, and grabbed a bowl, filling it with juicy strawberries.
They walked out onto the deck, and sat on a bench not far from where Nick and Chrystal were. They looked out onto the water, enjoying the view of the sunset over Los Angeles.
“This is beautiful,” Aisling said quietly, as she took a bite of a strawberry.
“Yeah,” Joe said, staring at Aisling instead of out at the ocean, “So beautiful.”
Aisling looked over at Joe, blushing slightly when she saw that he had been staring at her.
“You’re such a charmer, Mr. Jonas,” she smiled, leaning closer to him.
“I try,” he chuckled, grabbing her hand.
Aisling shivered slightly as a cool breeze blew by.
“Cold?” Joe asked.
“Yeah, a little,” she said. Joe stood up, slipping his jacket off, and laying it over Aisling’s shoulders. Aisling had to keep herself from drooling at the sight of his muscular arms.
“Thanks,” she smiled at him, slowly running her hand down one of his bare arms, before snuggling closer to him.
Aisling finished off another strawberry, and grabbed one more from the bowl.
“Want one?” she asked, holding the strawberry up to Joe’s lips. He leaned forward slightly to take a bite out of it, his lips brushing over the very tips of Aisling’s fingers. He pulled away, chewing on the strawberry, as Aisling popped the rest of it into her mouth.
She smiled at him, and watched as a line of strawberry juice slid down his jaw. She had the urge to lean forward and lick it up, but she decided against it, still not wanting Joe to think that she’s a slut.
She reached forward, wiping the juice up with her thumb and sliding it between her lips. She pulled it out, and Joe grabbed her hand, bringing her fingers to his lips, and placing a gentle kiss to the tip of her thumb. Aisling smiled and brought her other hand up to rake through Joe’s silky hair. She leaned closer to him, and the boat went over a large wave, rocking violently and flinging Aisling towards Joe. He braced her with his hands on her waist, but she was now sprawled over him.
“Oops,” she giggled, her face now incredibly close to Joe’s. She stared into his perfect brown eyes, as Joe smiled at her. Their faces inched closer and closer together, until Joe reached up to tangle his fingers in her hair, pressing his lips to hers. Aisling sighed against his lips, and while their first kiss was short lived, it was absolutely amazing.
When the boat rocked, Nick and Chrystal had been standing at the side of the ship. Chrystal had her hands on the railing, and Nick was standing behind her with his hands on the railing next to hers.
When the boat lurched, Chrystal stumbled slightly, but Nick immediately braced her by putting his hands on her waist.
“That is the second time tonight that you’ve had to catch me,” Chrystal giggled, turning around to face Nick, “You’re experiencing the incredibly klutzy side of me.”
“I’m quite enjoying being able to put my hands all over you to catch you,” Nick smirked. Chrystal giggled smiling up at him.
“Well… I just so happen to enjoy you putting you hands all over me,” Chrystal giggled. She and Nick were silent for a few minutes as they stared into each other’s eyes.
“Did you really mean what you said last night? No questions asked… the drum kit… all of that?” he questioned. She blushed slightly, leaning forward to bury her face in his chest.
“I can’t believe you and Joe were listening to us,” she mumbled, before looking up at him again.
“You were talking pretty loudly,” Nick chuckled.
“No we weren’t… you two are just nosey,” she giggled.
“Yeah whatever… seriously Chrystal, did you mean it?”
“I wouldn’t lie about something like that,” she said, smirking at him. A grin spread across Nick’s lips.
“You are like no girl I’ve ever met…”
“Is that a good thing?” Chrystal asked.
“That’s a very good thing,” Nick smiled, tangling his fingers in her hair, and pressing his lips to hers. Chrystal’s arms wrapped around his neck as their lips moved together. They pulled apart, both smiling like idiots as Nick rested his forehead on hers.
“That was amazing,” Joe said, as he and Aisling parted. She smiled at him, and ran her fingers through his hair.
“I can’t wait to spend more time with you,” Joe smiled, staring into Aisling’s eyes.
“I’m looking forward to it,” she smiled.
Later that night the boys dropped the girls off at their apartment, both promising to call the next day. As they headed to bed, both Aisling and Chrystal fell asleep with big smiles on their faces.
