I closed my door to my bedroom and locked it. I could still hear my step-brother, Jordan, outside the door, saying dirty-things that made my skin crawl. "Melissa let me in, you know you want me," He purred. I shuddered and almost gagged. I stared up at the poster of Nick Jonas, the one thing that kept me sane. As I stared at his beautiful eyes and curls, I started playing "Hello Beautiful" in my mind. Even then I could hear his sweet, perfect voice. I had it memorized, and it soothed me. I sighed and stood up to look in the mirror. My perfect, unscarred face stared back at me. But the scars didnt exist on the outside. They were emotional scars. Jordan never hit me, but he touched me where he shouldnt be touching. Lucky for me, he had never raped me. Still, it felt horrible. I remember the first time he touched me I had wanted to commit suicide. I looked at my picture of Nick again and swallowed tears. "Oh Nick, if only you could come and save me!" I whispered. Then I started sobbing, I knew that wouldnt happen.

Suddenly, the lock clicked and the door swung opened. I gulped and shrank back against the wall. Once again, Jordan had picked the lock. He stood there now with an evil grin and hungry gleam in his eyes. I trembled and my heart pounded as he walked towards me.
