Trapped Away: Your Guardian Angel
Chapter 1
The clock on the screen seemed like it kept getting slower and slower. With every tick, the crowd got louder, the chants grew, and the hearts raced. For some, it was considered the best nights of their lives. Yet, for others, it was just another concert.
Girls began to scream louder for it was just minutes before the curtain dropped and the ‘loves of their lives’ revealed themselves.
Behind the most hated curtain and screen which held the clock, hid three boys, better known as Joe, Kevin, and Nick Jonas. Secret and silent prayers were dashing through their heads as the minutes got closer and closer. Joe lifted his head up to the sky above. "Don’t you just love big arenas? Makes me feel like a football player. No ceiling."
"Um…no ceiling reminds you of being a football player?" Nick asked his brother with a slight smirk. His voice was trembling.
"Obviously," Kevin stated. He noticed that Nick seemed a little nervous, "Hey, Nick, what gives?"
He turned his back and looked into the crowd, "That crowd is huge…"
"Nick," Kevin said cooly as he put his arm around his brother’s shoulder, "It’s a Miley concert. The crowd ISN’T going to be like, fifty people like when WE started out. She’s bigger than we ever were."
Nick sighed and nodded. The crowd scared him, he wasn’t feeling like himself. He had a feeling…and when he had feelings like this one…things didn’t turn out good. But he knew he had to shake it off. They had a show to do. "Okay…just…never mind."
Kevin nodded. "Good. Now…Joe?"
Joe turned his head, "Yes?"
"Ready?"
"So pumped," he exclaimed as he crushed the red bull can and threw it away. "Let’s do it."
Meanwhile, in the audience, the clock was ticking faster. It sped up with just less than two minutes to go. Only were screaming at the top of their lungs, but one in particular, wanted the boys to come out the most.
Loraine Stella Madison stood to her feet in the front row. Her trembling hands ran through her hair to make sure everything was put in its proper place, and before she knew it, there was one minute to go. The Jonas Brothers dominated her walls, their music dominated her mind, and their words dominated her heart. Sure, she had seen them in concert before. She had even met them a few twelve times. But this concert was in a huge open arena, one like the boys had never played in before. And she was right in the front row to see it all. The fact that they were only mainly opening didn’t even bother her.
5…4…3…2…1
The lights beamed throughout the arena. Screams emerged from every which way as the music was heard. "We’re the kids, we’re the kids, we’re the kids of the future-"
The boys ran out and began singing.
----
"OKAY," Joe yelled. "THIS ONE’S VERY SPECIAL, SO…YEAH. IT MEANS A LOT OT US, IT MEANS A LOT TO EVERYONE. HERE’S OUR NEW SONG. TAKE. A. BREATH!"
The crowd went silent to the sound of the opening chords. Loraine and her friends remained standing and tried to make eye contact with Joe.
"I walked across a crowded street,
A sea of eyes cut through me,
And I saw you in the middle"
Loraine reached out her hand for him as the soft words came out of his mouth. He caught her gaze and stared straight into her eyes for a split second before turning away.
"Your upset face,
You wear it well,
Camouflage the way you feel,
When everything’s the matter."
In the back of the arena two boys set up on the very top of the building, above all of the seats, above the stage. Fully dressed in black, the two reached into their jackets. From inside they pulled two hand guns.
"Got the bullets?" one of them asked the other. He nodded and handed the small pellets to his friend. "Good."
"We’ve all been down that road before,
Searching for that something more,
Worlds are spinning round,
There’s no time for slowing down,
So won’t you take a breath,
Just take a breath,
People change and promises are broken,
Clouds can move and skies will be wide open,
So don’t forget to take a breath."
Nick smiled and continued to play, but Loraine kept her gaze on Joe. His voice was spectacular, it put her in a trance. Nothing ever calmed her or put her in a trance like that before. For it was forbidden for her to fall in love. Every time she did, it resulted in tragedy. She wasn’t about to let just anyone in, but something about Joe wanted her to stop the world. He brought life back to her heart, but she knew that he was only a dream. Girls like her didn’t just end up with guys like him.
She had the looks, and she knew that. She had the talent, the personality, but she didn’t have the fame. And lately it seemed as if famous boys only loved famous girls.
"We blink our eyes life’s rearranged,
To our surprise it’s still okay,
It’s the way things happen.
Summer comes and then it goes,
Hold on tight and brace for cold,
It’s only for a moment."
"Let’s do it then," the boy said to his friend. "We can’t just sit here and do nothing. Get your gun."
The boy nodded and set up his gun. A little reluctant, he did feel, but he had no choice. It was either give death or die.
"Half way through the chorus."
"Okay…"
Loraine’s trance continued. She was deeply into it. Her friends on both sides of her didn’t stop her though, only they knew how much she wanted love. How much she wanted Joe.
Nick stepped up to his microphone. "We’ve all been down that road before,
Searching for that something more,
Worlds are spinning round,
There’s no time for slowing down,
So won’t you take a-"
The screaming got louder, but not for the music.
Echoes of gun shots filled the arena. People searched around with their eyes for fallen people. No one.
"YOU IDIOT! YOU MISSED! SHOOT AGAIN!" the boy said. The other nodded and shot again.
"EVERYONE LEAVE! GO!" Kevin screamed into his microphone.
"GET OUT! GET OUT!" Joe screamed. Loraine’s friends rushed around, leaving her caught in her trance. Just a moment later when the other gunshots let out did she realize what was happening.
"COME ON!" Joe screamed as he extended his arm out to her aid. "HURRY! PLEASE!"
Tears began to stream down her face as she took his hand.
"KEEP SHOOTING!" the boy shrieked as his friend continuously shot at the innocent crowd. All of a sudden, the lights went out. The boys couldn’t see what they were shooting at.
"JUST KEEP SHOOTING!"
Joe tried to find which way to take Loraine. Families and friends were all sprinting out of the arena to find safety.
"THIS WAY!" Joe screamed as he pointed in the direction he heard his brothers’ voices.
Just when he and Loraine took a step towards the entrance, two more shots fired in harmony. Joe held Loraine close as he fell to the ground clenching his heart. The pain was incredible.
For he wasn’t the only one shot, one more. Loraine gasped for air as she put her hand over her chest. "I-I can’t-I can’t breathe-"
Joe shook his head and tried to breathe.
"We need to go now…" the boy said to his friend. He nodded and grabbed his supplies as they darted away.
A split second later, the lights burst on. Nick, Kevin, Miley, and everyone else on the tour, even the families still left in the room, stared at the stage.
"JOE! GET UP FROM THE FLOOR! NOW! COME ON!"
No answer.
"JOE! MAN COME ON! COME ON!" Nick and Kevin screamed.
No answer.
Only then did the worries come to them. With shocked hearts, Nick and Kevin stumbled over to where Joe was lying. "Joe?" they choked. Loraine’s friends turned to face the stage. "Oh God…" one of them gasped when they saw their friend lying down in the arms of Joe Jonas.
"GET AN AMBULANCE! NOW!" Nick screamed. Everyone stood in shock. "NOW! WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR! NOW!" he choked with the tears running down his face.
Kevin turned Joe over to reveal the girl in his arms. He began to cry.
"No…" the blood on his hands beamed up at him, "NO…No…NO!!!" Kevin screamed. "JOE! NO WAKE UP! JOE IT ISN’T FUNNY! WAKE UP!"
No answer.
All of the fans came back from the lobby after it was cleared that the shooters were caught trying to run away. They fled into the arena, all crowded on the floor, and stared intently at the stage.
Paramedics burst through the door and dove to the floor beside the lifeless bodies. They checked for pulse. Nothing.
The head doctor swallowed and looked up into the audience, and then into the eyes of the Jonas family, and Loraine’s friends. Little Frankie hugged his mother’s leg, Mr. Jonas put his arm around Mrs. Jonas, Loraine’s friends came close as well, and Nick and Kevin backed away slowly.
"I’m sorry…" the doctor choked. He grabbed a microphone. "I’m sorry…"
The whispers from the audience died down. The fans all stared at the lifeless bodies on stage. As emotions burst through the arena, not one person wasn’t tearing up. It all happened so fast, it all seemed so impossible.
Stretchers were rolled in with body bags, blinking lights from the cops were reflecting on the arena, the noise got louder, and the cries got harder.
The family and friends took it the hardest. Nothing seemed right, it had to be a dream. It just HAD to be a dream. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case and they all knew it.
Tears fell. Cries echoed.
At the middle of it all, a single person began to chant. And eventually the whole stadium grew into it.
"Jonas…Jonas….Jonas…Jonas…Jonas…"
Starting as a whisper and ending as a cry, the chant lasted until the bodies were escorted of the stadium.

So this is my new fanfic. I had amazing comments and readers on my past three, so I just decided to go ahead and start this one. Yeah, it's different. I got the idea froma book i read last summer. But I'm not copying it at ALL. This is totally different, only a bit similar with where this is going.
So I ask...should I continue? Or not...
