Chap. 2
“So um, what’s your favorite band?” he asked.
She blushed
“JB” she mumbled.
“What?”
“You guys” she said glancing over at Joe and then him.
“Oh, cool” he said blushing too.
“Are you going to get in?” she asked.
“Only if you do” he said smiling.
“Ok, you go first” Nessa said walking over to the edge.
“No, then how do I know you’ll go”
“I have an idea” she said grabbing his hand. “We’ll go in together.”
“Ok” Nick said smiling back at her.
They jumped in and all of them had a blast swimming together.
“Can I have your number?” Nick asked Nessa holding up his phone.
“Sure” she said and told him.
“Thanks” he said and then him and Joe left.
“Ooo” Luke and James said together.
A YEAR LATER:
Joe and Luke are now best friends. So are James and Nick. Kevin and Jakob are also best friends. But about a week after The Jonas Brothers moved in Nick started dating Miley Cyrus, another star. So Nessa went about her life not paying attention to the boys who are now like family. Staying over so much they each have their own rooms, it felt awkward when they went on tour. When they all came back Nick told everyone that he and Miley broke up. Nessa was so happy she could almost burst. She still loved him with all her heart, even more now that she really knew him.
“Hey, Joe pass um, whatever that is” Luke said at dinner.
“K” Joe said passing the bowl Luke was pointing to.
“House to ourselves, woooo” James said.
Both of the sets of parents were out for a week. Right now they were all at the McDonald’s while Jakob and Kevin were at the Jonas’.
“Yeah, whatever” Nessa said getting up to go to her room.
When she was gone Joe, James and Luke stared at Nick.
“When are you gonna ask her out, dude? We’re the older brothers and we totally approve.” Luke said.
“Never, okay? She doesn’t like me the same way, never has, never will.” Nick said.
James and Luke almost fell out of their chairs laughing.
“Before you moved in, every night at dinner she would make us pray for you. Sometimes she still does when you’re not here. She loves you, man.” James said.
“Really?” Nick asked.
“Yep” Luke said.
“Ok” he said and got up to go to Nessa’s room.
The whole time he had known her he’d never been in her room. He knew exactly where it was, right next to Jakob’s. *knock-knock*
“Come in” he heard Nessa say.
“Oh hey Nick” she said.
“Hey” he smiled.
