Joe stared at the floor. "It's a mighty nice floor, alright," Joe told his mother. They were about to move into a new house, and Joe was heartbroken. They had lived in the same house for eighteen years and all of a sudden they were moving. Nick laughed. "Joe, she asked you about the kitchen, not the kitchen floor," Nick said, jokingly. "Well, technically, the floor is a part of the kitchen. I'm glad you like the floor, Joe," Mrs. Jonas said. "Yup, I like the floor, it's one of the nicest floors I've seen since we left the house," Joe regretted saying this. Mrs. Jonas looked at Joe sharply. "Joe, go away," she told him. "Go AWAY?" Joe, repeated, shocked. "Yes. Rent an apartment, get married, GO AWAY," She told him. Joe looked at her and tears formed in his eyes. "I won't go away, I'm only 18 and I'm not marrying for at least 7 more years. You and dad said I had to wait until I was 25, but I'll go get ice cream," Joe said, and walked away.
Joe started crying as soon as he left the new house. He ran into Kevin, then started running because Kevin had startled him and made him cry even more than normal. He went to the recording studio where they usually recorded, and their boss let him practice his solos and record them. This soon got boring, and Joe soon left.
Joe returned home, and when he did, Nick, Kevin, Frankie, his dad and his mother were all sitting around eating pizza. "I still like the floor," Joe said ane grabbed a piece of pizza. Nick followed him up to his room. "You know," Nick said, "Mom only said go away because she was sad that we were moving, too. It was too overwhelming having more than one person on the verge of tears at a time." Joe looked at him. "And how would you know this?" He asked his brother. "She told me," Nick replied. "Oh," Joe mumbled. "Well, I don't want to move away from everything I know," He said. "We're not to far away from where we used to be, Joe," Nick told him. "Nick, we're nearly in the next state!" Joe exclaimed. "Well, Mom and Dad only want us to be happy," Nick replied and left. Joe thought about that, Nick may be right, but he'd have to figure that out on his own.
