Chapter 1
"I got in! They picked me!" Taylor screamed when she finished reading the letter.
"Who picked you and for what?" Her older sister, Jordan, asked.
"The producers for Kid Nation picked me to be on the show!"
"What's Kid Nation?" Jordan asked.
"It's only the best reality TV show ever!" Taylor said, trying to calm down. When she did, she continued, "They put 40 kids between the ages of 8 and 15 in a ghost town for 40 days with no adults, and they have to survive on their own. There's four districts and every three days they have a showdown, and a town meeting. At every town meeting, the town council gives one kid that they think worked the hardest a gold star that's worth $20,000."
"Good luck with luck." Jordan said, and she went back to watching TV. Taylor knew that Jordan thought that she wouldn't last the whole 40 days. She knew her friends would think the same thing.
"Oh, well. I'll just have to prove them wrong." Taylor thought as she went up stairs to show her mom the letter.

"Thank you! We love you all! Goodnight!" Nick yelled into his microphone. He and his brothers ran off stage.
When they went backstage, they were suprised to see their dad there, because he said that he was staying home.
"Nicholas, there's a letter here for you and we couldn't wait to give it to you." Their mom said, handing him a letter.
Nick quickly read the letter,and his eyes widened when he finished.
"They picked me! I got in!" He yelled, jumping up and down.
"Who picked you?" Kevin asked.
"You got in what?" Joe asked.
"The producers for Kid Nation picked me to be on the show!" Nick replied.
"Isn't Kid Nation that one show where you're in a ghost town for over a month, and you have to survive on your own?" Kevin asked.
"Yeah." Nick said after he calmed down.
"Good luck with that, Nick." Joe said, before he got in the family van.
They were doing a concert in LA that night, so they got to go home. That was the last concert of the tour, and they were now on a tow month break.
When they got home, Nicm went to his room and read the letter again. He was so happy . Not only was he going to be on his favorite reality TV show, but he was going to be a town council member. He couln't wait till next week, when he got to leave.

Alright, well I was going to post a chapter of my other story, but I left my notebook at school. So, I'll post the other one tomorrow and I'll update this one too.
