Chapter 5

When they got to the bathroom Emily jumped up on the clear spot on the counter that holds the sink and Joe took a washcloth and ran it under hot water. He rang it out a bit then gently started to wipe the hot wet clothe across Emily’s face, Emily watched and smiled at how Joe was taking care of her. Joe caught Emily staring at her.
“What?”
He asked.
“Thank you.”
Emily said making Joe’s hand stop and Emily reached up taking his hand and holding it in hers playing with his purity ring.
“I don’t know what I would do without you Joe. You keep me grounded, happy and safe if it wasn’t for you I don’t think I would have my sanity right now.”
“Why thank you thank you very much.”
Joe said in an Elvis voice making Emily laugh and playfully hit him.
“I’m trying to be serious here.”
Emily said looking up into his eyes and smiled.
“I know but I just wanted to hear you laugh. You don’t have to thank me for anything Em you’re my best friend I’d do anything for you.”
“I know and I would do the same for you. I know your right I need to let go I to stop of course not all together but stop. Can you help me with that?”
Joe took her hand that was holding his bought it up to his lips and kissed her palm.
“You know I will.”
When Joe’s lips touched Emily’s palm a shiver cursed through her body and her body temperature went up. He placed her hands back in her lap finished wiping off her face then handed her, her glasses back along with a tissue. Emily blew her nose then threw the tissue in the can behind Joe.
“Thanks for cleaning.”
Emily said.
“Your welcome.”
“I better call Kevin and Nick later to apologize and thank them.”
“They know you apparate it and that you didn’t mean to be rude but knowing you, you will call anyway. Listen I want to talk to you about something.”
Joe threw the wet washcloth into the sink then placed his hands on her knees.
“My parents want to take a family vacation to Rome for a week. Well actually we’re going.”
Emily’s heart sank she wasn’t sure if she could go a week without Joe.
“And I asked my parents when we were making the plans and you can come with us.”
Emily’s heart stopped in her chest and tears formed in her eyes.
“I can go to Rome with you guys. Are you sure? I don’t want to impose Joe, it’s a family vacation.”
“You won’t Em and you are family not by blood or name but your family to me none the less. So will you go?”
Emily smiled and threw her arms around his neck hugging him as tight as she could.
“Of course I’ll go silly willie.”
Joe smiled picked her up from the sink and spun her around his arms making her laugh, when he placed her back on her feet and pulled away he did a little dance while singing.
“We’re going to Rome, oh yeah we’re going to Rome.”
Emily joined in with him doing the dance and singing all the way out of the bathroom and into the living room where they dropped down on the sofa laughing.
“Oh no.”
Joe said eyeing the bags on the floor next to the stairs, Emily followed his gaze and laughed.
“Oh yeah come on help me put this stuff away.”
Emily jumped off the sofa and Joe grunted throwing his head back on the back of the sofa.
“Oh come on Joe please, pretty please.”
Emily gave Joe her best sad face.
“Okay, okay fine just put that face away.”
Joe said throwing his hands up in the air and getting off of the sofa, they walked up upstairs each grabbing a bag or two. Once in Emily’s room they threw the bags down on the bed.
“I send you out for a spa day and you come home with five bags filled with clothes and only god knows what else.”
Emily opened the first bag the bag from Forever 21.
“While Darcy and I were getting massages she bought up going shopping when we were done. And I thought what the heck I’ll treat myself.”
“I would say you did.”
Joe said laughing.
“You can start with the bag from Bath and Body Works you know where all that stuff goes.”
Joe nodded and started to take the things out of the bag, two bags later Emily was in her closet when Joe came upon the bag from Victoria Secret. Thinking it was just pajamas or maybe some perfume he opened the bag and moved the tissue paper out of the way, but quickly pulled the tissue paper back over the items when he saw some bras and underwear then a funny thought came to mind. Emily hung the last of her items then said walking out of her closet,
“Is that it Joe?”
“Hey Em do you think I’m more of a, A Cup not a B Cup cause this is a B and it’s too big.”
Emily burst out in laugher at the sight of Joe in the turquoise lace bra that she bought today, she grabbed her stomach walking over and sitting on the bed laughing so hard she couldn’t breathe.
“What? Turquoise not my color?”
That statement made Emily laugh even harder and she fell back on the bed clutching her stomach as she laughed. Joe started laughing too taking the bra off and throwing it into the hamper next to Emily’s dresser, he laid down on the bed next to her as she continued to laugh.
“At least I know you’re a lace kind of girl.”
Joe said, Emily picked up the pillow and hit Joe in the back of his head with it.
“Ouch, okay now you started it.”
Joe said picked up the other pillow and hitting her with it, they continued the pillow fight till Joe got Emily’s pillow and threw it on the floor then pinned her down on the bed under him.
“Boo yay, ha who’s the pillow fight king now? What.”
Emily laughed and looked up at Joe who hovers over her holding her hands above her head, Emily laced their fingers together smiling and said,
“You know your silly right?”
“Yeah but you love my silliness.”
Emily smiled and thought if you only knew. They stared at each other for a few seconds and again their faces grew closer and closer together their lips were mire inches apart when Emily said,
“Joe.”
“Em.”
Their lips only grazed when they heard;
They taped over your mouth, Scribbled out the truth with their lies, you little spies, they taped over your mouth, Scribbled out the truth with their lies you little spies.
Which was singling the ringing of Emily’s cell phone. Joe sighed and hung his head mumbling,
“I’m starting to hate phones.”
Emily laughed pushing Joe off of her and reaching over to her nightstand and picking up her cell looking at the caller ID to see it was her Mom.
“It my Mom.”
“We leave tomorrow afternoon.”
Emily nodded and flipped open her phone putting it on speaker and sitting it down on the bed.

Thanks... I watched the hannah montana episode with them in it last night when it was on and like you I still love it even if it's like the millionth time I've seen. I watch it everytime it's on, my mom and sister go haven't you seen it enough? and I go nope lol ha ha.
