A Heart’s Decision!
Prologue:
Antonia’s heart echoed. The smell of Febreeze filled her nostrils. Today was just another day she found herself in pain, laying face down on her bedroom carpet. She winced in pain as she tried to get herself to get up. Her body rose off the floor and she slowly made her way to her bathroom.
Tony took a good look at her reflection. Her lip was swelled up and her eyes were puffy from crying herself to sleep. Getting abused by her father pretty much was a daily thing. Although getting abused isn’t what Tony wants, she lives through it. If she tried to stop it or run away, it’ll be worse. Her dad could possibly kill her.
Tony ran hot water in her bathtub. The morning was her only free time. Her dad usually goes to work and pretend like nothing happened. Tony carefully slipped off her clothes. She had bruises all over her body. She climbed into the tub and soaked for about an hour. It felt like she was washing all the suffering away. The daily torture, hollering, and all the nonsense went down the drain as she stepped out of the tub.
Tony slipped on sweat pants and a tank top. She zipped a matching jacket over her shirt and a pair of old tennis shoes. She walked back into her room and noticed her ripped out lip ring on the floor. She grabbed a couple of quarters from off her desk. She grabbed a suitcase from out of her closet and packed some clothes. She left the suitcase on her bed filled with clothes and left the house.
She found a payphone and put the money in. Her fingers hesitantly pushed her brother’s cell phone number. “Noah.” She spoke softly into the phone. It was still ringing though. “Come on Noah, pick up.” She said twirling the cord on her finger. She ran her fingers through her hair and began to loose patients.
His answering machine came on. “Hey this is Noah, I can’t get to the phone right now, leave a message after the beep.” She sighed and waited for the beep.
“Hey Noah, it’s me, Tony. Sorry for calling so early, I just wanted to let you know that I’m leaving. I can’t stay with daddy anymore. Noah…he isn’t the way he used to be. Just-Just know that I’m coming and don’t try to stop me. I’ll explain later.” She hung up the phone and headed home. Next stop, out of daddy’s life, Tony thought to herself.
I knoe JB isn't in it yet...she'll meet them. And it only mentions Tony because she's the main character...but please comment!
