CHAPTER ONE;;

The bell rang before Ms. Kent could answer, and I slowly got up and put my things in my bag. I wasn't in any hurry to get to break; in fact, I normally went to my training session early. I slung my messenger bag over my shoulder and sauntered out the door, ignoring the complaints coming from the ignorant new teacher.

I made my way slowly down the hallway, trying to find my best friend and partner, Lilly. Lillian Autumn Brenner was my best friend. We worked so well together that the agency decided to have us together as partners on missions. We haven't failed one yet. She stood at a tall 5'10'', thin as hell, with brunette hair that was streaked with red. Her green eyes contrasted harshly with the bangs that always fell in her face, and she loved being the one that stood out. I found her at her locker, trying to shove books in between a mountain of magazines and a manual on hotwiring a car. I laughed as half the junk fell out onto the floor.

She turned to me with a wirey smile and stood, her hands on her hips. "Care to help, oh so annoying one?"

I laughed again and stooped to pick up a few manuals. "What's new, chicky? I thought you had shop right now."

"I decided to skip to go train with the new trainer. I hear he's a real gut-buster, so I thougt I'd try him out and see how much he cries when I'm done." She grinned at me and shoved the rest of her stuff in her locker, expertly extracting a gym bag out of the bottom. "I heard Ms. Kent almost beaned you in the head last period with an eraser."

I laughed at her. "Almost. Keyword. That woman needs to learn how to be quiet. That's why its called stealth."

She chuckled and grabbed her bag off the floor, linking arms with me. We headed off to the gym in full conversation about random things, like always. Since we were senior agents, we were only required to go to class for the first half of the day, including a 2 hour work out session afterwards. Then we went back to upstairs, working on cases and training new recruits.

We walked carelessly into the gym, chatting about the new trainer. I waved happily at my trainer and good pal, Billy, who waved back. He then turned to a group of three boys, all looking nervously around the gym. I laughed at the new recruits and pointed them out to Lilly, who was too preoccupied with "Lance" to notice how gorgeous these boys were.

The tallest one seemed the most relaxed, leaning against a pair of mats as Billy talked. He seemed about Lilly's height, with dark brown hair that fell into his eyes. His eyes were dark brown, and they sparkled in the artificial light shining from the ceiling. He had an air of a small child, and I could tell that if he wasn't in this field he's most likely be a comedian...or a singer.

The boy standing immediately to his right had a mop of curly hair that fell into his doe brown eyes. His lack of height made up in the amount of muscles he had. He seemed to serious, but that suited me fine. Serious guys were alot more fun to train, since they actually listened to you. He wore black sweats and a red wife beater and hung onto every word Billy said.

The last boy looked like he was completely out of it. He constantly twitched his hair into his eyes, making it seem like his hair was what made him hot. The more I looked at him, the more I saw his ego show. The way he stood, how he held Billy's gaze for a few moments before turning back to his nails. His ego took up the whole room, and I found it hard to breathe normally. He was a jackass, and I promised myself to not be involved with him. He wore black sweat pants with a black wife beater, and only half listened to Billy, who was explaining the rules of the gym to them.

I observed each one closely and concluded that they look too alike to not be brothers, which wouldn't be a first in the academy. I pointed this out to Lilly, who only shrugged and said "Who cares? That tall one's HOT."

I laughed out loud at the goofy smile on Lilly's face and earned a joking glare from Billy. He beckoned me over to the group and I grabbed Lilly's hand, who pulled me onto her back. Laughing, she did a few twirls before joining the group. I blew a few wisps of hair out of my face, still on Lilly's back. Billy grinned at me and turned back to the brothers. "Boys, meet my two best fighters--Lillian Brenner and Kat Belle. Ladies, I'd like you to meet our newest transfers--Joe, Nick, and Kevin Jonas."
