The boys hopped into the van to be take back to the house. “Boys, Ashly and Heather instructed me to take you to a restaurant called Butch’s Diner.” The bus driver said, driving away from the arena. The boys nodded and leaned back in their seats. When they arrived, they were met by screaming fans, apparently word had gotten out about where they would be going. They made a mad dash for the door to the restaurant. The hopped inside and turned to see fans charging for the double doors, ready to get the boys. All of a sudden a short sixteen year old girl with curly light brown hair and brown eyes cane flying at the fans wielding a frying pan. “OFF THE PREMISIS OR I’LL CALL THE SLIDERS!!!” She screamed. Whatever the “sliders” were, they did the trick. All the girls left in a hurry. She smiled and threw her pan behind her shoulder. “I’m Aylin and I’ll be your server….oh hey Heather, Ashly!” he smiled showing her dimples. Heather and Ashly hugged the girl. “So, where’s all the Jonas crazy staff?” Heather laughed. Aylin gave a laugh before replying, “The boss said no letting them work tonight, only Kaydence and I are working.” The group nodded before sitting down at one of the only tables big enough for the seven of them. All of a sudden, they heard a crash and a shriek from the back kitchen. Aylin heaved a frustrated sigh. “Kaydence! What ARE you doing?!” She yelled. The group couldn’t help but laugh at Nick’s frustration. Nick was laughing the loudest and Aylin glared at him. “Well curly, if you think it’s so funny, YOU go help her.” Nick was quick to reply “Fine, I will!” He said getting up. He was almost to the kitchen when the window to his right shattered. “Down!” Heather, Ashly, and Aylin yelled all at once. Everyone hit the floor, Kevin pulling Alana close for comfort. “What about Nick!” Julia pointed out. He was still frozen in shock from the shattered window.
Outside the restaurant, there was a loud commotion. People were fighting, most were guys with a few girls thrown in. One group all had red bandanas on, the other black wristbands and they seemed to be going at each other. Right in the center, two girls stood, taking shots at each other. One had short dark hair, dark eyes, and some glasses, she had the red bandana on. The other had dark hair and greenish eyes with a lip ring, she had a black sweatband on her wrist. “See the kids with the red bandanas? Those are the Sliders.” Aylin whispered to Kevin and Joe, crawling over to a stunned Nick and pulling him to the floor. “See the kids with the black wristbands? Those are the Spades. Those are the two biggest, most dangerous gangs in Rivendale. And they hate each other. Looks like they are having another confrontation.” Heather explained. See the girl with glasses in the middle? That’s Em, leader of the Sliders. And the girl with the dark hair and lip ring, that Tony, leader of the spades. They hate each other.” Ashly finished explaining. Suddenly, another window broke and Em came flying through, followed by an angry Tony. Seeing all the people hiding, Em pointed her gun at Ashly, Heather, and Aylin. “Come over here. Now. You should be up here.” Ashly and Heather slowly stood up and pulled red bandanas out of their pockets, Aylin quickly following. Kevin and Joe gaped in shock, how could their cousins be in a gang?! Julia began crying loudly. Tony aimed her gun at Julia. “STOP!” Nick yelled, snapping out of his shock, he was now standing between Em and Tony, who both had their guns pointed at each other, but one thing was blocking them: Nicholas. Nick realized he was in a bad position. He tried to move, but Tony barked out “You move, your brain ends up all over this diner buddy.” Nick stood still, he could tell she wasn’t joking. Al of a sudden, a figure flew past Tony, grabbing her gun in the process. Em smirked as the person stopped in front of her gun. Em thought she had won until she heard members of both the Spades and the Sliders let out a gasp. She looked up into a brown-green eye, and a blue-grey eye. Standing there was Lucky, in all her winter hatted glory. Lucky turned and slid Tony’s gun back to her. Tony grabbed the gun and hopped up, stopping so her gun rested pointed directly at the back of Lucky’s head, so the bullet would go straight between her eyes. Lucky looked into Em’s eyes before moving Em’s gun so if it shot, it would go straight through her heart. Luck then stood there, as if daring Em to shoot. The whole restaurant and all it’s occupants, even the previously fighting gang members stood frozen in shock. If either Em or Tony shot, Lucky was a goner.
