But that day was along time ago. 8 years to be exact.
i've never been the same since that day.
i go to vist my dads grave alot...usally when i'm sad or lonely.
i really miss him. he was my bestfriend... the sad thing is, is that the only thing i have left of him is the snowglobe he gave me right before he died.
fiona sold everything of his. not only that she also took all the money.
fiona usally is gone with her two dauters so i'm usally home alone but i'm mostly at the diner..
but when i am home i have to clean..
"ELLA!" fiona shouted from downstairs
"Yes?!" i shouted back
"Come Down Here!" she yelled
"uggh...Coming!" i shouted while closing my book.
i ran downstairs only to find fiona with a man and he was holding her.
"you needed me?" i asked
"yes. robby is taking me out to dinner and we won't be home til late.. the girls are at the winter party and their staying the night at a friends house. so when i get back i expect this house to be ship-shape." she said
Robby is fionas boyfriend. he's very rich. he buys her anything she wants.
he is also very abusive.. he hits me all the time if i mess something up.
the thing is..is my step mom just sits there and watchs him. shes laugh and make fun of me...i can't take it anymore
i nodded "okay."
"Good now go clean!" she shouted
i rolled my eyes then walked into the kitchen
i started to clean alittle til she left.
i then put the rag down and slowly fell on the floor.
i just want to scream my head off.
but that won't help me the only thing that will help me is getting out of here.
i've been planning on leaving for along time now...i'm just afraid.
i'm afraid that one day she'll come after me with him... or afraid of what will happen to me if i do run away. where will i go? where will i stay? what will happen?...
i stood back up and started to clean the rest of the house.
once i was finished i decided to take a break and watch some t.v
in the middle of "boy meets world" i heard a car noise
i looked out the window and saw fiona and robby walking in
"what are they doing back so earily?" i asked myself.
just then they walked in
"What are you doing?" fiona asked
"um i just got finished cleaning and uh i was just taking a break" i said
"Finished cleaning?!" she shouted
i nodded "yes."
"Well whats this then?!" she shouted as she picked up a crumb from the table
she then walked to the fireplace and opened it up
she put her finger in it and wiped it then pulled it out
"and how about this!" she shouted as she showed me her finger
"sorry i just forgot about it" i said
"You Seem to do that alot" she said
"i'm sorry" i said
"Robby." she said
oh no this can't be good..everytime she says that it always ends up bad...
"knock some since in her" she said
just then robby walked up to me and began to hit me and slap me
i tried to fight back.. but it wasnt working

i slowly put a bandage on my bleeding cut.
"Ahh!" i screamed as i put it on.
i then looked at arms and just starred
they were so cut up and bruised..
i then took a deep breath and tried to get out of my bed.
but i couldnt. it hurt to much..
its times like these that i wish i did run away..
i looked over at the clock. it said "9:00am"
fiona and robby are probably gone by now...
i got up (wich hurt really bad) and walked over and looked out the window
yup i was right they are gone..
.i then shut the blinds and walked over to my dresser.
i took out a pair of dark jeans and a black hoddie.
i then walked over to my desk and grabbed my notebook and a pen.
i also grabbed my money i was saving up for collage that i got from working at the diner
i put all of it in my backpack and ziped it up.
i put on my coat, hat, gloves, scarve and shoes then walked downstairs.
i grabbed some food then walked out the door.
everything was covered in snow..
i looked around and smiled. i love winter.
how the roofs were all white.
and the ground was covered in a blanket of snow.
and how you could only be outside for two seconds and your hair is already covered in snow.
and how you can see your breath.
and i love the cold air and how when your outside you freeze your butt off but yet it feels so good.
i just love everything about snow.. i mean whats not to like?
i then heard a car drive by and snapped out of my trance
i then walked towards town.
once i got there i went to the bus stop.
i got on the bus that takes you to the airport.
when i got to the airport i grabbed my bag and walked off the bus.
i walked inside and up to the desk.
"hi i would like to buy one ticket to california." i said
"okay....that would be 330 dollars" she said
What!! $330!!!
"okay here you go" i said as i handed her the money
i only have $50 dollars left.....
"gate b4" she said as she handed me my ticket
"okay thank you" i said as i grabbed the ticket
i then walked to the gate and took a seat until they let us on the plan
i walked on and went to my seat and sat down.
i'm going to california because i have some family members that live there and i'm hoping i can stay with them...
the plan soon took off and i was on my way to california...
