wow Emily...is that a record?
sorry it took me so long...i had to type and put away Thanksgiving decarations at the same time...
so anywayzzz, here it is...
“Honey are you ready?” My mom yelled through the intercom. That was the only bad thing about this house. The intercom was so loud and obnoxious, but of course my mom had to have it. Right now you’re probably thinking, intercom? Well, yes. My dad makes good money through his business. He started about sixteen years ago when I was born. Hence the name ‘Brooke Enterprises.’
I hit the big green button on my wall and yelled back, “Almost! Be down in a bit!”
A few minutes later I ran downstairs and out the door where my mom was waiting in my dad’s new car. A Rolls Royce—another way to say really nice, shiny car. As much as my dad loves my mom if she got one little scratch on this car it was going to be World War III at home. That’s how he is with everything; including me. Extremely over protective—this would explain the lack of boyfriends that I have never had.
“How much are you planning on spending today, sweetie?”
“Uh, just like fifty or so.” I didn’t want to go all out, which my mom and dad probably expected me to, for my first Jonas Brothers concert. I mean if I meet them I don’t want to look like I put more time into my outfit then they did.
“Only fifty?” My mom looked like I had just slapped her in the face.
“Well, yeah, I was just planning on going to American Eagle.” I loved that store, but my dad always said it was a cheap knock-off store. Without him there, though, my mom just handed over the fifty—no wait hundred—and told me it was fine. I hate when she does that. I know that money doesn’t just multiply in my hand! Being an only child with rich parents sounds fun, but when you actually live that life you find out that it’s just the opposite.
After I got out of the car I jogged to the front doors of the mall. The mall was almost like my second home. Sometimes I spend more time there then I do at my own house in a day. Don’t worry I don’t go on shopping sprees I just like to get away from my house. My parents don’t get along all the time, and thanks to my dad’s sweet sixteen birthday gift, I can just sneak out when they fight.
The smell of new close and sale signs was some what refreshing as I walked into the mall. This mall was huge, to say the least. It had four different levels and one each level there’s a Starbucks, and a food court. In that way it was sort of like my house—over sized with food on every level. All it needs is a maid and two cleaning ladies and you have arrived at my house.
As fast as I could I headed towards the escalator to the third floor where American Eagle was located. American Eagle was right across from Hollister so it smelled amazing. The first thing I saw was the cutest pair of jeans that I have ever laid eyes on. I definitely have to have those!
I quickly scanned for my size, grabbed them and walked over to where the sweatshirts were. My style is layers and bright colors. So for the concert I was planning on wearing a camisole, polo and matching sweatshirt. I thought that I should find the biggest part of the outfit first. Finally I found one that was bright green and said ‘Time for me to fly’ on it. Yes, just like the Jonas Brothers song. All the more reason to get it. Then I found a cute polo that was a little darker that the sweat shirt and a white camisole. I looked down at my creation. I didn’t need any shoes because I already had a pair of green, low-rise converse. Perfect.
I couldn’t wait to try it all on, once in the dressing room I threw on my new outfit. I liked it so much that I though I should show everyone else so I walked out to the three way mirror. I couldn’t help but laugh when I saw the girl in front of me.
“Oh,” she blushed as she noticed our similarities in clothes.
I smiled, “Cute clothes.”
“Yeah, same,” she smiled.
“Hi, I’m Brooke.” I stuck my hand out for her to shake.
“Oh, hi I’m Alyssa.”
So what happens between Brooke and Alyssa?
Alana's turn!
