Two years may not seem like that long of a time to you but to me those two years changed my life. Let's recap, shall we?
We rocked slowly to the music that Kevin and Nick were playing. We were at the Harvest Fair. I was the happiest that I have ever been but all that interupted when a woman walked up to us. "Joe Jonas?" she asked as she looked down at her palm pilot.
"Yes?" he broke apart from me suddenly.
She smiled at us and then said, "Well, hello my name is Janice Holly Dai. I am with Columbia Records. I talked to my boss and we are on a hunt for some new bands to join our company." She handed him a buisness card and contiued, "I'm sure you will give us a call as soon as possible." She shook his hand and walked away.
"Allrightie then!" Joe turned to look at me in disbelief. He twirled the buisness card in his hand. Nick, Kevin, Emily, and Courtney walked up to us.
"Who was that?" Kevin asked pulling the card out of Joe's hands. "Janice Holly Dai? Nice name." Everyone suddenly let out a giggle.
"You can't be serious," Nick was looking over Kevin's shoulder, "A music producer from Columbia Records!" Nick's eyes lit up.
I saw Joe smile and nod, "She will be expecting our call." He took the card and slid it into his pocket. "Dad!" Joe motioned for him to come over.
"Yes Joseph?" Mrs Jonas asked looking around the group. You could see toothy grins on all of the Jonas' faces.
"A music producer just gave me her card and wants to check us out!" Kevin and Nick both exchanged high fives. Joe pulled the card out and showed his father.
"Janice Holly Dai? THE Janice Holly Dai?" Apparently he knew who she was becould he kept repeating her name.
Joe was bouncing up and down, not paying attention to one bit that his father was saying. .
I smiled weakly and nodded. It's not like I wasn't proud of Joe and his brothers but I have a feeling that this won't be good for our new relationship. No-Jordan-stop. Don't be selfish. they have waited their whole lives for this. I can't be sad about something that will make Joe so happy.
"Jor, isn't this amazing?!" Joe grabbed my hands and spun me around.
"Oh yeah," I smiled, "Amazing."
Now that this is two years later, here I am, alone, while The Jonas Brothers are who knows where. Columbia Records have given The Jonas Brothers a great push in the Hollywood direction. So, what am I? A lone Jersey girl going through her last year of high school with a boyfriend who is hundreds of miles away. How can I be happy when the only way I can communicate with Joe is over the phone and an occasional video message? I haven't seen him in a month and it won't be another month until I can. I'm not sure if I can wait that long.
