“This is insane.” Seventeen year old, Lins Parker, muttered loud enough for her guy best friend, Jake Stevens, to hear. Jake has gorgeous blonde hair that falls in his eyes, which are blue. He is one of the best looking guys that go to their high school and he just turned eighteen. Lins, on the other hand, has chocolate brown hair with leaf green eyes. She isn’t the most attractive girl at their school, because the school is full of models and actresses.
“This is Mel, what do you expect?” Jake whispered back to Lins. Which was true. Mel Tanner can be insane, but Lins is too. Come to think of it, Jake is the only sane one of their little clique. Mel has brown hair as well, and sky blue eyes. Lins shifted feet.
"Come on, we have full access to the Jonas brothers bus!" Mel whispered, poking her best friend in the side. "Its like... fate!" Fate? Lins knew this wasn't true. It isn't fate if Mel forced her into a pick locking class three weeks ago. It was for this purpose. Lins didn't care, of course. The class, I mean. She's always been interested in picking.
"Mel... That isn't fate, its breaking and entering. Besides, if I get caught doing one more thing this summer, Momma threatened Military school. It’d be like Cadet Kelly all over again." It was true, during the school year she had detention everyday and didn’t attend. This summer she was almost sent away to a private summer school for destruction of property… all in all, no more trouble. She isn’t a bad kid, just likes to prank… and burn things… and break rules… Mel made a true look of horror, and Jake looked depressed. She laughed at her friends and stuck her tongue out at Mel to lighten the mood, Jake shook his head at the two. "MAKE JAKE DO IT! HE TOOK THE CLASS WITHME!"
"WHAT!? NO! I don't want to be arrested either!" He protested. “Besides, I never managed to get good, Lins is the one that always showed off.”
Lins wrinkled her nose. “How about we sneak backstage and I pick our way into their dressing room during lock down!” She offered off handedly. They all knew it was a better chance not to get caught doing the bus thing, though. Big Moe was with them inside, as was the rest of the crew.
Mel rolled her eyes, “That defeats the purpose of a lockdown, stupid.” Lins rolled her eyes right back at her. “Look… you pick Lins, and I’ll take the blame if we get caught! It wouldn’t be the first time I have!” This was true, and Mel is true to her word, one hundred percent.
Lins groaned. “Fine, hand me the stupid tools.” They handed her the rake and whatever-wrench. Much easier than picking, yet still in the picking family. The three glanced around. They had the bus parked in the back, so no fans were around. “Check for cameras.” Lins whispered. They did, none were spotted. Lins kneeled down and examined the type of lock. Perfect. Within a half an hour, they were in. All three of their doubts vanished as they stepped inside. Lins threw down her messenger bag on the couch and ran around. Jake wasn’t a BIG fan, but he respects the music. The girls on the other hand, were having a freak out. Lins was digging through Joe’s suitcase and Mel was looking for belongings of Nick. Jake looked at his best friends with wide eyes.
“Don’t have a heart attack.” He joked. Both girls paused and sent him evil looks before heading back to snooping. Jake took a seat on the bus couch, knowing they might be there awhile. But after about ten minutes all of them froze.
“Hey! Bring him over here, into the bus! There’s no way he can play the concert like that.” They heard the angelic voice of Nick Jonas speak, to who knows whom. He was close.
“Hide!’ Jake whispered, and the Jonas-obsessed girls knew where to do so. They grabbed Jakes hand and pushed him in, getting in after him, into the small bathroom with a no working toilet. Who goes into a bathroom with no toilet? No one.
“Set him here.” The person who sounded a lot like Mom Jonas said. They heard Kevin groan and… what sounded like upchuck into a bucket. Mel and Lins made worried faces for him and Jake made a disgusted face. “I’m afraid Nick is right. With Kevin with the flu, he can’t play. We’ll have Miley play and meet up with us at the next location, we should deprive the fans of Jonas AND Cyrus.” And then they went into a whispered conversation. Lins sat on the counter top lazily, seeing as it’s later and they’ve been in there for about an hour or so. Jake just sat on the floor and Mel sat on the toilet seat. They were bored and excited (well, the girls) all at once, knowing the Jonas Brothers were in the same bus as them. It was mostly quite, minus Kevin groaning and making other sick noises.
They heard Joe turn on the TV and Nick open a drink. The bus started moving. The three in the bathroom got wide eyed, looking at each other. The bus was leaving for the next destination, A state and a half away. “Its ok, its ok.” Lins murmured to her best friends. “We’ll get off when someone has to go pee.” The other terrified looking teens nodded.
“What’s this?” They heard Joe say a hour and a half into driving. There was shuffling, before Nick replied with a,
“It’s a… bag? A girls bag.” Joe made an ‘Hm’ sound and Lins got eye-wide. Her messenger bag was forgotten on the couch when they were hurrying to hide. “What’s in it?” Nick asked again, as they shut off the TV. Obviously, they weren’t paying attention to that now. Well… Kevin wasn’t to anything but the bucket.
They could hear Joe looking at things in Lins bag. “Uh… A wallet.” Pause. “Which has a drivers license, she’s pretty, tickets to a Fall Out Boy concert and tickets to OUR concert. And… a pass to the science center of all places. Besides the wallet, there is… a wrinkled up pamphlet to military school,” Nick made an ‘ooh’ sound. “A Zune, we can check out the songs later, a box of Razzles candy… Never had them… uh… a red bull… a lighter and a flask. Oh, and her phone.” He said the second to last things in surprise. Mel looked at her friend with an annoyed look. Because of the alcohol and lighter, but also the fact she forgot her bag in the bus in the first place. Lins shrugged; it wasn’t much of a surprise for any of them that she drinks.
Jake frowned. Its going to be a long ride.
