"They're really good actors." Becka commented. She and I were watching the Jonas Brothers on Hannah Montana.

"Yeah." I agreed. At acting like they love you, I thought.

Becka and I have been best friends since, well, almost forever. I guess not FOREVER but for like, 9 years, which is 1 year more than half my life. We're so much alike we always say we share a brain.

"Why do you look like that?" Becka asked me.

"Like what?"

"I don't know. You look sad."

"I'm not. I'm fine."

"You better be. Cuz I need you to go get us some ice cream."

"You."

"You're closer."

"By like two feet, you go get it yourself"

"But Krystal, you make it better."

"How is it any different from when you make it?"

"Cuz it just is."

"Fine." I got up and walked into the kitchen. As I got the cookies and cream out of the freezer and started scooping it into the bowls, I couldn't help but think of my first date with him.

I was so excited. Yet, I also felt like I was gonna puke from being so nervous. But who wouldn't be nervous if they were going on a date with one of the Jonas Brothers? We had a really good time and I thought he really liked me. But like I said, I guess he was just acting. First we went to the movies and then we went and got ice cream. At the ice cream shop, I ordered a cookies and cream cone. I remember how embarassed I was when I dropped it as he handed it to me. My face turned so red it had to have mached his red jeans. But I also remember how nice he was and how he didn't make me feel bad for dropping it. He just smiled, handed me napkins, and paid for another one. He was always so sweet. And funny too, he was constantly making me laugh. I loved that about him. I loved him. But, what's done is done. I just have to get over it and move on with my life.

I put the ice cream box back in the freezer and went and sat back on the couch next to Becka.

"Thanks." She said as I handed her her bowl. I sat in silence, just staring at the TV.

"You're doing it again." Becka stated after a few minutes had gone by.

"Doing what?"

"Looking all sad. You're just sitting there staring at Joe and looking sad."

"No I'm not."

"Yeah, you are. You have this sad, longing look in your eyes. It's the kind of look you get when you miss someone. I thought you were over him."

"I am."

"You don't just look at somebody that you don't care about like that. You said you didn't love him anymore. Do you?"

I just sat there, perplexed. Suddenly I found myself questioning, Do I?
