I Have Faith in You
The two men stared into each others eyes. Neither of them daring to speak for the silence was just too perfect. The younger of the two took his lover's hand and caressed it with his thumb. The older man's eyes flickered down to watch it rub against his palm. The younger man smiled and brought his other hand up to lift the others chin. Their lips met in a soft kiss. They drifted apart smiling. The older man swore to himself that he had never been this happy before while the younger man thought he never would be with out his companion.
"Joseph?" The older man asked. The others eyes flickered up to meet his lovers. "Do you love me?" The younger man nodded quick to respond. "Can you say it?"
"Ryan," Joseph started smiling and looking down momentarily trying to find words to express how much he loved the older man. He looked back up to find Ryan staring at him intently. "There are no words to express how much I love you. Not even that word it's self could describe it."
"Really?" Ryan asked quietly. Joseph nodded gripping his hand tighter. "I'm sorry."
"For what?" Joseph asked, his face falling.
"I don't think I could ever love anyone like that." Ryan whispered.
"Yeah you could." Joseph told him quietly.
"How do you know?" the older man asked quietly looking down at their intertwined fingers.
"Because I have faith that you can." Joseph whispered. Ryan looked back up at him smiling lightly. "I have faith in you." The two men kissed passionately getting lost in their own world.
"I love you Joseph." The older man whispered onto his lovers lips.
"I love you back. More than you could ever know."
