okay okay i'm posting....
Chapter 1
I sat there and taped the table with my fingers, where is she?! I was waiting for my friend Katherine, but she was late as usual. Why does it always seem as if I'm always waiting for her?....
Oh, maybe you want to know who I am first. I'm Kevin Jonas. I'm ninteen but my twenth birthday is in a few months. I have three younger brothers, Joe, Nick and Frankie. Yeah, they're my best friends. Joe, Nick and I started a band called The Jonas Brothers and so far we were doing great. I play guitar, I taught Katherine how to play guitar too. We've known each other since preschool, and we've been best friends ever since.
"Where is she?" I asked myself as I looked at the clock on the wall. Twelve forty-five, forty-five minutes late. This girl is going to drive me crazy!
"Kevin", I heard a sweet voice call from the doorway. There she was, Katherine. With her curly brown hair and bright blue eyes, she always had a warm smile on her face that made me melt. I crossed my arms over my chest and tapped my toe, "Where have you been?"
"I'm sorry", she said as she slid in the chair on the other side of the table, "I just got caught up with... some friends."
I looked at her, she just sat there smiling. I shrugged my shoulders and leaned my elbows on the table, "Well, I already order a pizza for us while you were 'with friends'."
Katherine scrunched her nose and made a face at me, "Is it cheese?"
"Yes it's cheese."
"Why don't you like any other topings? You're so weird, Kevin."
I smiled and ran my finger through my dark hair, "Well, I could have gotten a half and half, but you were late."
Katherine snatched my drink and took a sip from it, "I told you I was sorry."
"I know, and I can't stay mad at you forever", I said as I snatched my drink away form her. She tossed a curl over her shoulders and smiled, "So, what did you want to meet me for?"
I touched my hand to my chest as if I was hurt, "Why, can't a guy meet his best friend for lunch? What makes you think I have something to tell you?"
"One, you never stop talking and two... no a guy can't just meet his best friend for lunch. What's up?"
I smiled, "You know Joe, Nick and I just finished recording our new album, right?"
Katherine nodded her head, "I got dibs on the first copy!"
I shook my head and laughed, "Don't you always? Anyway, we're going back on tour. Katherine, this is going to be the biggest tour for us. Disney Channel is all over us and now we have even more fans than before. We even get to tour with Hannah Montana/Miley Cyrus!"
Katherine's smile turned into a frown and her bright blue eyes looked hurt. I leaned forward, "What's wrong?"
She shook her head and put a fake smile on her face, "Nothing."
"No, tell me", I said as leaned forward and touched her hand. She looked up at me, "It's just... I miss you."
I ran my fingers over her knuckles, "I'm not leaving yet. I mean, I'm here right now..."
"It's not that", she said as she pulled her hand away from mine, "I just never get to see you as much as I use to. I'm not tellin' you to stop writing songs or anything, but if you're not spending time with me you're either recording or writing music or going to concerts. We just don't get to see each other that much."
I looked up at her and saw a tear come to her eye, "And now you're going on the biggest tour ever and I'm not going to be able to see you for a long time."
I leaned forward and took her hand again, "I'm not leaving yet. I'l spend the rest of the time I have here woth you til I leave. Starting now..."
I stood up and pulled Katherine up with me. I placed my hand on her cheek and wiped her tear away with my thumb, "I'm taking you to Hollister and buying you whatever you want."
Katherine giggled, "But you hate Hollister."
"I know, but you love the place." I pulled her out of the pizza parlor and dragged her to the mall. I held her hand in mine tightly, why was I feeling so strongly for her? My heart started to pound really fast as she laughed and her eyes sparkled with life and excitment. I loved seeing her happy, but I didn't think I would start falling for my best friend. I was having these new feeling for her, I had no idea what for, but I liked it.
