Maybe three or four hours later I was still awake. I couldn't sleep and it was starting to make me go insane. What the hell was her name? "UGH!" I said rolling over for the third or fourth time in five minutes.
At that I heard stirring from the bunk above me. Kevin was getting up. He'd find me laying here and then pull the concerned big brother card. And that was the last thing I needed.
I peeked out to see legs swinging over the side and landing on the floor. He turned right and towards the bathroom. Probably going to shower. At least I was in the clear for now and my sleepless night.
I turned to face the wall trying to sleep. Nothing was working. I had about 20 minutes left before I needed to get up. I couldn't fall asleep at the interview tomorrow…today. I got up, giving up on all hope to sleep for twenty minutes.
The sun hadn't yet risen so the bus was still dark as it rumbled down the highway.
"Ugh…time for breakfast." I whispered to myself. I pulled out the cereal and a bowl and filled it to the rim. Then I added the milk. The first bite was in my mouth when my phone went off beside me. I picked it up to find a new text message. Who was texting me this early. That was when I saw it. Her name. The name I had been avoiding until yesterday.
Sarah.
The name just killed me, pierced my heart and killed me. Oh how I didn't want her bull*CENSORED* to start the morning. I opened the message and couldn't help but read it out loud.
"Joey babe sup? Yo I was thinking you are doing the Ryan Seacrest thing today and I was thinking of stopping by to see you. Love Sarah."
"Oh so she loves you know huh?" I looked up to find Nick walking over to me.
"Yeah. You know she proved that."
"Yeah I mean why does she think we wrote move on? Because Kevin and Erica are having problems? Ha Never in a million years." Nick said sitting down across from me and picking up the box of Corn pops. He shoved some in his mouth while he was laughing.
"Yeah doesn't she get it. She hurt me and I don't want any part of it. I HATE her now."
"Totally man. I agree." He stuffed more cereal in his mouth.
"So how'd you sleep?" he continued.
"Eh…not at all." I said it as if it was an ordinary occurrence, it wasn't.
"Whoa. Joe…you didn't sleep at all? Does it have to do with Sarah?"
"Oh no little bro you are way off. It was that girl from yesterday. Oh what I'd give to see her again."
"Joe…you need some help. You don't even know her name!"
"And that was what was keeping me up. Now Nick please don't tell Kevin he would just lecture."
"Alright. Just don't fall asleep today."
"Will do." The water in the bathroom turned off and I heard Kevin walking back to the back of the bus.

"Alright so we're here." Kevin said from the front seat.
"Ooooo…look at all the screaming fans." I said very amused by the crowed of children who skipped school to see us.
We went into the studio fighting the crowd. I looked around and smiled at the fans screaming things such as 'I love you Joe.' Or 'marry me!'. They all amused me and made me giggle on the inside. I glanced ahead at the barricade of fans towards the door. They were amazing. Amazingly dedicated. Wow they gave me that feeling of joy, the one my life thrives on.
About mid-way through the interview I was getting drowsy. Luckily Kevin and Nick were taking care of most of the questions only requiring me to answer the bare minimum. I needed some caffeine. Too bad I hated coffee. I decided to look out at the fans, they always gave me that energy boost. I turned around and saw a huge amount of fans screaming and banging on the window. Then I saw one particular girl. Standing there quietly. She was…the girl…THE girl. Astonished, I winked again. She winked back but in the mean time a teen frenzy was occurring. Every girl thought the wink was for them. She knew. She knew.
