Sadness

She stared at the gravestones. Her mother, father, and sister all gone. She looked around at the funeral guests. They watched her with all the same expressions that she hated, the expression that said "Aww, what a pity for her."
Joe grabbed her hand for extra support. He was such an amazing best friend. She looked behind him to see his family all giving her encouraging smiles. She placed a flower on each one of the caskets. She sobbed as they lowered them into the ground.
"I can't believe this" she choked out
"Don't worry, they're in a better place now" Kevin whispered behind her.
"I pray to god they are" she thought to herself
Kelli and the Jonas family made there way back to the limo thay had arrived in. Her house felt to eerie and silent now that her family was gone, so she went to the Jonas' home.
She went inside and automatically ran to the extra guest bedroom that she had adopted into her own over the past week since the accident. Joe folowed close behind, automatically catching her as she almost fell to the floor crying when she entered the room.
She hated the fact that she had shed so many tears in front of him, she didn't like to show weakness. He always said it was ok, but she felt like she was beginning to sadden his once gleeful demeanor.
"Joe" she said wiping the tears from her face.
"Mhmmmm" he said as he picked her up and placed her in the bed.
"Thank you so much" she replied giving him a peck on the cheek.
"You don't have to thank me" he said turning off the light and sliding into the bed next to her.
He was the bestest best friend in the whole entire world.
She stared into his beautiful brown eyes as her head lay upon the soft pillow below. Her eyes soon became heavy as she drifted off into a deep sleep, something she hadn't had since before the accident.
Joe gently brushed the hair out of Kelli's face as she fell to sleep. Her color was beginning to finally start to come back to her face. If only she knew how much he loved her, inside and out.
