If you had one more chance... what would you do???

Chapter 1

Christmas Eve I got on a plane to England... going back home to my family. I was visiting America as a gift.. from my parents. An interesting Christmas gift but... I learned things that I didn't know before... Although.. I do miss home. I can't wait to see my mum and dad again.... even if I felt like their was just this one little peace of America that I felt had been left out.... I shifted in my seat and looked out the window. Clouds passed and the stars twinkled in the dark sky. I reached out my hands and grazed the glass... just like I could reach the sky.... reach the moon and just hold it in my hands. I smiled and looked over at Angel. "Look..." I said, pointing towards the glass. She nodded. "It's very peaceful... are you excited to be back home?" she asked. "I suppose... I mean... I feel like... there was something I didn't see though.... something I didn't do yet but... yes, I do miss home" I replied. Angel chuckled. There was some major turbulance and the captain came on... "No need to panic but... there is a fire onboard and... it is very likely that... we will not make it... i'm sorry" he said. I stared blankly ahead. "I'm scared angel.." I said, swallowing hard. She just smiled and held my hand. "It's alright..." she said, comforting me. The plane began to lose the fight and started falling. "If you could have one more moment... just a few more days... what would you do?" Angel asked. "I..." I started. What would I do???... my first thought would be my family but... I have had my whole life to be with my family... a few more days wouldn't really make a difference.

"I would find out what was missing... What I missed in America!!" I yelled from the whirring noises of the wind in the background. She nodded and held me tightly to her body and then it crashed.

I squeezed my eyes shut. Waiting for the impact.... but there was nothing.... no pain... no noises... just emptiness. I opened my eyes and I was in a hotel room. The same hotel room I was in a couple of days ago... in America. I gasped for breath. "Good morning..." Angel said, grinning. "Angel?! was it all a dream??" I asked. "No.. it wasen't... it really is going to happen but... this is your chance, this is what you asked for" she answered. I blinked my eyes repeatedly. "What?" I asked. "This is what you wanted... to find out what you are missing here in America.." Angel said. I sighed. "But... how did you do it?" I asked. "My name isen't just for kicks... I really am an angel.... i'm your guardian angel in fact... I watch out for you.. and i'm granting you this one last wish.." she said. "Woah... so.. am I still going to die?" I asked, curiously. "Yes... i'm sorry, I can't change fate..." she answered. My face dropped. "But it's okay.. you still have the wish... so go out and look for what you were missing, i'll help you" she said, cheerfully. I nodded and bit my lip. "I don't know where to start.." I said. "Let's start... by leaving this place" she said, grabbing me by the hand and pulling me out into the streets of New York.

Chapter 2

I remember the first time Angel really protected me... We were kids and we were out in the car with my parents. We were on the way to the grocery store. A car was going to collide with ours and Angel threw herself in front of me, shielding me from the impact. She had to get 6 surgerys on most of her body. but we both survived and I owed her my life. She really is.... my guardian angel. and... my best friend. She pulled me through the busy streets and I looked up at the christmas lights just like I saw them for the first time. I smiled and let myself get pulled by Angel through the side-walk. "Where are we going?" I asked. "Anywhere..." she responded. I giggled and followed her into the mall. We went crazy and splurged on almost everything we saw. I had so much clothes now that I could give something to almost all of my family and I have a HUGE family. I smiled and we walked down the street once more searching for my missing piece. Angel stopped me at an arena where a band was ending their concert. I walked closer and looked out beyond the crowd and saw him. The boy... the boy that was my missing piece... It was just like one of those old movies... where time slowed... and a light just shined around him. Your heart just pulses, your knee's feel weak and your breathing can't keep up to you. He smiled and I got lost in his gaze. I was pulled in like a magnet. but then... the thing the movies don't tell you is that time moves extra fast to catch up. and I lost him.

I reached out to thin air and Angel stared at me. "What's wrong?" she asked. "My missing piece... is gone.." I responded. "Then... let's chase after it.." she said. I nodded and ran. I ran in no particular direction just hoping... searching for the boy that was my future. I stopped in my tracks and looked around me. I was in carnival grounds. I put my hands on my hips and looked around me. No sign for the boy. Angel caught up with me. "No sign eh?" she asked. "Angel... help me!!" I pleaded. "I'm sorry.... but just remember.. the greatest things in life are going to be harder to find.... I know you'll find him" she said. I sighed and went on one of the rides. I put my head in my hands. I'm going insane from not knowing where he is.... If I don't find him soon.. he'll be gone forever. I jumped off the ride and saw him... He was standing with two other boys. He laughed at something one of the boys said and I smiled. He looked over and saw me. I blushed and looked away. He tilted his head at me and grinned. He turned to walk towards me but the two boys with him pulled him towards the right. I groaned and followed them closely. They were going towards the beach... and apperantly there was a party going on. "But... I don't want to intrude..." I muttered. "Screw that... go" Angel said, pushing me forward. I sighed and snuck towards the party. There was a fire and people were dancing and having a good time.

I looked for him but couldn't find him. I sat down in the sand. "Well.. if it isen't mystery girl.." a voice said. I turned around... and it was the boy. "Oh... Hi.. I.. what do you mean... mystery girl?" I asked. "Your so mysterious... and I keep on seeing you everywhere... you have me intruiged" he said, sitting down next to me. "Oh... i'm sorry" I apologized. He laughed. "You don't need to... a little mystery keeps life exciting" he replied. I smiled and melted in his deep chocolate brown eyes. He held out his hand. "I'm Nick" he said. "Hi... i'm... i'm Jaden" I answered. He smiled. "That's a pretty name.... from your accent i'm guessing your from.... England?" he asked. I nodded. "That's awesome... i'm just from... New Jersey" he said. I laughed. "That's still exciting... I mean... i've always wanted to go to America and... now, here I am... it's so beautiful... it's...it's different" I said. He nodded. "It certainly is.." he said. I looked out beyond at the ocean. "Would you like to dance?" he asked me hopefully. I stared at him, totally confused that such a beautiful creature like him would even consider touching someone normal looking like me. I smiled and nodded. I swayed with him and I let my head rest on his soft shoulder. I inhaled the beautiful scent of his abercrombie cologne. His soft, brown curls rubbed against my face as we moved. "I caught you..." I mumbled.

Chapter 3

We pulled apart and Nick looked down at me curiously. "Will I ever see you again?" he asked, with hope in his eyes. "I... I really hope so" I answered. He smiled and I began to walk off. "Wait.." he pleaded. His fingers brushing my arm. My heart leaped and I shivered from his touch. "I have to be sure... that i'll see you again" he said. I smiled and pulled out the notepad from my hotel and slipped it into his hand. "I promise" I said. I walked off and went back to the hotel with Angel. "You love him..." she stated. "What?... that's impossible, I barely know him.." I replied. "I think it's highly possible.." she said. I rolled my eyes and slipped under the covers. "You know it's true..." she said before turning off the light. I rolled over and thought about how she was right.. but I didn't want to admitt it.

In the morning I wiped my eyes sleepily. Angel drew the curtains and I shielded my eyes. One more day passed... Only a few more and my wish comes to an end. I tried not to think about it and I got up for breakfast. Once I got down the stairs I stared at Nick standing there in front of me. "Hey.." he greeted me. "Uh.... I... Hi" I said, suprised. I looked him up and down and wondered.. why exactly he was here... "Why... why are you here?" he asked. He smiled. "You promised.." he replied. I smiled back and followed him outside. "So... you wanted to see me again.." I stated. He nodded. "Honestly... I thought that... if I never saw you again.. I would go crazy" he said, honestly. I blushed and I felt all warm inside that he cared so much about me. "I really wanted to see again too" I responded. We walked down the street just talking while Angel watched from the hotel window. "This is your first time to New York?" he asked. I nodded. "Well than... it will be my pleasure to show you the best time" he answered. He grabbed my hand and my heart throbbed. "Where are we going?" I asked. "Central Park" he answered. I followed him there and I saw a huge ice arena. We put skates on and slid around. "Wow... I haven't done this since I was a kid" I said. "Really?" he asked skating back wards to face me. "Show off" I said. He laughed and took my hand. He lead us forward faster. I giggled happily.

My stomach lurched as I slipped. His arms wrapped around my waist and supported my balance. I blushed and stood there never wanting him to let go of me. He smiled and twirled me around the ice. We got our shoes back on and he led me to where the big christmas tree was. There was a carriage awaiting us. I smiled and he helped me up. We rode through the town and it began to snow. I held my hands up towards the sky and Nick laughed. I snuggled close to him and I rested my head on his chest. It soon ended and he led me to the Lincoln center. Where there was a huge fountain with bright lights and everything. I sat down next to him. "This is... one of the best nights of my life.." I said. He grinned. "Me too.." he replied. He wiped away a flake from my eye-lash. He leaned in closer but hesitated. "Kiss me?" I whispered. His lips met mine and his fingertips came up to graze my cheeks.
