Chapter 4-WHOA. SECRETS ARE CRAZY.

   My parents walked out of the room. They really like Cody and they think we would be an adorable couple. Much like Seventeen magazine, apparently.
   "Cody! I'm glad you liked it! Umm, sorry I didn't catch up with you earlier, we rode some rides then had soundcheck and the shows, and then we have a meet-and-greet, and-"
   I was cut off by Cody quite randomly kissing me.
   I thought of backing away, but I didn't have a boyfriend! Then again, I didn't really want Cody as my first choice.
   I backed up.
   "Ummm...?" I questioned, looking Cody over.
   "Sorry. I just, really like you..." he trailed off.
   I looked at the ceiling trying to fight back tears.
   I DID like Cody, but the truth that I'd been trying to hide for two years was about to pour out.
   "Look, I'm really sorry Cody, but-" I choked. I couldn't say this without crying. "Cody, you're cool, but I just-" Oh god. "I just really like Joe..." I said letting tears spill from my eyes and hit the floor.
   "Joe...? Jonas?" he asked.
   What. An. Idiot.
   "Yeah...I have since we met. And when him and AJ dated it was torture. Spending every minute around them...Cody, I feel so bad," I explained bawling.
   "It's fine. Good show," he told me standing and walking out the door, obviously offended and hurt. Probably mad at me, too.
   This was wayyyy too much to deal with now.
   I flipped onto my stomach and buried my fave in a pillow.
   I started cry, and after I started, it was pretty much impossible to stop.
   Before I knew it the Jonas Brothers ran offstage and back into the building.
   "Oh my god! Steph! Are you okay? Guys get out, please. What's wrong?" Joe asked sitting next to me on the couch and trying to lift my head up.
   I gave in and let him pull me into a hug. I wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my face in his shoulder.
   "Joe. I blew it. I blew everything, and I don't even know how to tell you, and now it's probably too late, and I've messed up everything, and-"
   "Wait. Slow down. What did you blow, and what do you need to tell me?" Joe asked, honestly concerned.
   "I blew it with Cody."
   "I thought you didn't like him?" Joe questioned, obviously offended.
   "I do, but only as a friend, and I like you as so much more than that!" I admitted, spilling my guts without even meaning to.
   "Wait. You like me, too?"
   "Too?" I wondered what he was talking about, looking up at his face.
   "I've liked you ever since AJ and I split up!" he laughed, wiping my tears away from my eyes. "Stop crying, come on! It's okay. Now we both know!" he smiled.
   I loved that smile.
   I let out a small laugh. "So what're we going to do about it?" I asked, hoping he would finally ask me out.
   "Well, I guess the only thing TO do. We'll just have to go out..." he said as if it was the only choice we had.
   I laughed. "Sounds great," I said hugging Joe as tight as I could.
   I finally pulled away and looked him in the eye.
   He pulled my face a little closer and kissed me once.
   This felt right. Really right.

   Chapter 5-Perfection to Rejection

   We went the back way to the meet-and-greet building in the park and found our table already set up.
   Joe and I hadn't decided if we were going to tell anyone about our newfound relationship. We hadn't yet told our parents or Nick or Kevin...so we figured we would do that before telling the press.
   "Hey guys! Nick, Kevin! Me and Steph are going out!" Joe yelled across the room.
   Well he certainly wasn't putting too much thought into just coming out and saying it.
   I started laughing as Joe came over and put his arm around my shoulder.
   "Yeah! Mom! Denise! Frankie! Me and Joe are dating, now!" I shouted to the rest of the family.
   Well if that wasn't easy. They all just started laughing.
   And then Nick added his commentary, "About time!"
   Joe smiled and looked at me. I smiled back and we all sat down for our meet-and-greet. We were only taking 150 people tonight because we really wanted to ride a few more rides before we had to leave.
   The employees opened the door and started sending the fans on through.
   "Stephanie Paygel! Oh. My. God," one fan said as she walked in the room.
   "Hey! What's your name?" I asked as the little girl handed me her notebook to sign.
   "I-I'm Sierra," the girl said to me.
   "Well hi, Sierra. Did you have fun at the concert?" I questioned, smiling at her.
   "Yeah! It was amazing! Can I get a picture with you?" Sierra asked.
   "Sure! Come on over here, better lighting!" I winked.
   Sierra's mom snapped the picture and before we knew it, the meet-and-greet was over.
   Joe and I walked outside, holding hands, only to meet a swarm of paparazzi.
   "Well, hello," I said, taken aback by all the cameras.
   "Joe! Steph! Are the two of you dating? Is this a fling? Is it serious? How long has this been going on?" the crowd shouted at us.
   "We are dating, as of today. Thanks, can we get through please?" Joe asked.
   He's so polite.
   We walked, hand in hand to the Iron Wolf.
   "Joe! It looks so scary!" I shouted, smiling.
   "We'll just wait in line like everyone else on this one. Then we can talk, and we don't have to get on it right now," he replied, laughing.
   "'Kay."
   He understands everything so well.
   "So. How are you gonna deal with Cody?" Joe asked.
   "Speak of the devil...okay, not the devil...but of Cody..." I said pointing into the VIP line.
   "Dating, huh? Didn't take you long to move on, now did it? You must be realllly sorry," Cody said passing us.
   "I AM sorry! I'm sorry you don't understand that I've known Joe forever and care about him more than you understand. Or that I like him so much and have for so long. Sorry, Cody. I hope you can forgive me for being completely honest with you and trying not to hurt you!" I yelled at him.
   Uh-oh. Not the time OR the place. At all.
   Paparazzi got a nice shot of that...interesting tabloids tomorrow, I'm sure. Can't wait to read those...
   "Steph between guys?" "CL and SP screaming, JJ in the middle?"
   "JJ and SP dating! Or CL and SP?"
   Nice...
   "Move on, from what, Steph?" Joe asked, turning me to look at him.
   "He kissed me. Backstage. After my show. And I pulled away, and told him I really like you and now...UGH!" I screamed.
    I turned and looked back at Cody. "You really know how to ruin a night, don't you? Can't you leave well enough alone?" I screamed pushing through the crowd, feeling my face heat up and hot tears falling. Better yet, the press caught it all.
   Joe chased me through the crowd.
   "We'll talk about all this later," he whispered in my ear.
   "'Kay, she's not doing great, think you could back off for a bit?" Joe pushed the paparazzi away, obviously angry.
   Hopefully more at them than me...

OMJ!! I love this story. So I am reading after a lot of chapters. But I love this story!! Post more soon please.

Since I noticed you said sorry to the people who was reading your fan fic. So i'll save you the trouble my name is Cristie. ( BTW it is pronuced how you say "Christy"or"Kristy" or anything like that. It's pronocued like that.Just thought to tell you cause lots of people keep saying it wrong.)
