Life Will Never Be The Same (a nick ff) NEW CHAPTERS ARE UP
Modified By Meg {Nick Chick} l{...next day i'm your supergirl...}l on 12/24/2007 6:35:41 PM)

This is like one of my first fanfics. Nick is an only child in it too. Let me know what you think. I'd like 2 comments before I post more!!!

Chapter 1

Sunday September 4, 9:43 p.m.-

“Goodnight mom. Night dad.” Kaylee said as she walked up the stairs. “Night sweetheart” her parents said in unison. “Oh. By the way, Nick may be stopping by tonight to stay over since he’s nervous about tomarrow. So, ya know, just let ‘em in.” Kaylee said. “Alright. Are you nervous too?” her mom asked. “I’m not sure yet.” She said. Kaylee crawled into bed and turned off the light. 10 minutes passed. He cell phone rang. “Hello.” She said. It was Nick. Whenever he calls Just Want You To Know by the Backstreet Boys plays. “Hey. I didn’t wake you up did I?” Nick asked. “No.” “Can I come over?” “Yeah.” “See you in a minute” They hung up. Nick lived right next door. They’d been best, best friends their entire life. Kaylee heard Nick walking up the stairs. Her door creaked open. “Hey” Nick said as he closed the door. “Sup.” She said. He crawled into bed right next to her. This wasn’t weird at all to them. They were best friends and nothing more. “Nervous?” Kaylee asked. Nick sighed. “Yeah. It’s not fair.” “I know. But at least we’re going together.” She said. “Yeah. I guess. Are You Nervous?” he asked her. “A little. New school, new friends, new teachers.” She said. “Well not all new friends.” Nick said. “Yeah, you’re right. Night.” She said. “Night.” He said back. Then they fell asleep.

Chapter 2

Monday September 5, 6:13 a.m.-

Kaylee woke-up to birds chirping outside of her window. Nick’s arms were wrapped around her. For about 5 minutes she just layed there, Nick’s arms around her, sun peeking through the blinds, birds chirping, and a nervous feeling in the pit of her stomach. Both Kaylee and Nick’s parents were sending them to some private school for gifted children or whatever. Not really gifted children. It was mostly for the kids who’s parents could send them to a nice school. But their parents didn’t know that. Kaylee and Nick were both pretty smart, and their parents didn’t think that they were being challenged enough. So they enrolled them into the Gallagher Academy for the Gifted Youth. Nick was a little leery about the name at first because Kaylee had read a book called “If I Told You I Love You Then I’d Have To Kill You” and the Gallagher Academy was a private school for girls only. But his parents assured him that it wasn’t an all girls school.

Nick woke up with a huge yawn. “Ewe Nick. You have major morning breath.” Said Kaylee. “Oh. Sorry.” Said Nick. They just layed there starring at eachother. “We should get up.” Kaylee said. “Ugh. I don’t wanna get up. I’m not going to and you can’t make me.” Nick said in a whiney voice. “Oh yes I can.” Kaylee said.

She jumped out of bed and through back the covers at the end of the bed. “What are you doing?” Nick asked sitting up. Kaylee started to tickle his feet. She knew that it was his most ticklish spot. Nick started to laugh hysterically. “St-st-stop it.” He managed to say. She finally stopped. “See. Told you that ya wouldn’t get me up.” Nick said. “Um-hm” Kaylee said. She got back into bed and pushed him off of the bed and onto the floor. “Hey!” Nick said. “Whoops.” Kaylee said, giggling. “You’re not nice.” He said standing up. “I think that I’ll live. Oh, and look I got ya up.” She said. “Whatever.” He said. “I’m gonna go home and put on that stupid uniform.” “Alright You might wanna take a shower too. And shave.” Kaylee said, rubbing her hand on his face. “Ha ha. Very funny. I planned on doing that too. And you might want to too. P.U.” He said. Kaylee pushed him. “I plan on it.” She said. “Good. See you in a bit.” Nick said, kissing her forehead.

45 minutes later-

“Mom. I hate this uniform.” Kaylee said. “You look fine.” Her mom said. “But everyone will look a like. I like being an individual. And so does Nick. This is so not fair.” Kaylee said. “Most children would be glad to have parents who could afford to send them to the Gallagher Academy.” Her mom said. “Yeah whatever.” She said.  Her mom left the room. Kaylee pulled her dark brown hair back into a pony-tail. She put on some mascara and eye shadow and lip gloss. Kaylee’s cell phone rang. “Yo homeskilletbiscuitgdogNick.” She said. “Yo homeskilletbiscuitgdogKaylee.” He said. “Do you know how hard it is to accessorize this uniform. I mean really.” Kaylee said. “Yeah. I’m not so fond of it either.” Nick said. “Well at least you don’t have to wear a plaid skirt and a sweater vest over a white shirt that says Gallagher Academy.” Kaylee said looking at herself in her full length mirror.” “Yeah. But I do have to wear blue pants, and a sweater vest over a white shirt that says Gallagher Academy.” Nick said. “Good thing our favorite colors are blue, or I’d be REALLY unhappy.” Kaylee said. “Me too.” Nick said. “Hey I’ll meet you outside in 5 okay.” Kaylee said. “K.” Nick said. She put her cell phone into her purse. She grabbed her blue converse and put them on. When she got downstairs, she went to the refrigerator and poured herself a glass of orange juice. “Morning Kay.” Her dad said. “Morning dad.”Kaylee said. “Nervous?” he asked. “Nope.” She said. Lie, but she’d never admit that she was nervous to her parents. Kaylee made some toast. “So Nick’s birthday is coming up right?” he dad asked. “Yep.” She replied. “Did you get his present?”  “Yep.” “It’s September 16 right?” “Uh-huh.” “Okay. Good luck at school. I have to get to work.” He said. “Bye daddy.” She said. Nick was turning 15. She got him the new iPod speaker system that he wanted. She was also throwing him a surprise birthday party with some of their old friends.

At Nick’s House-

“What’s up kiddo?” Nick’s dad said, bopping him on the head with a newspaper. “Morning dad.” Nick said, bighting into his toast. “Are you nervous about school?” he asked. “Nope.” “Ya sure.” “Yep.” “Alrighty. Well I’m off to work. Good luck.” Mr. Jonas said. “Bye dad.” Nick said.

Nick started towards the door his mom stopped him. “Uh. Sweetie.” Mrs. Jonas said. “Yeah mom.” Nick said. “Did you eat?” “Yes.” “Brush your teeth.” “Yes.” “Shave.” “Yes.” “Shower.” “Yes.” “Put on clean underwear?” “Mom. I’m not 5.” “Sorry. Good-luck today at school.” She said and kissed his cheek. “Thanks mom. Good luck today in court.” Nick said. “Bye. Love you.” Mrs. Jonas said. “Love you too.” Nick said, grabbing his backpack and opening the door. “Tell Kaylee I say hi.” She said. “I will.” He said. “And tell her good-luck for me.” She said. “I’ll make sure too.” He said. “And tell her-“ “Bye mom.” He cut her off. He closed the door. Kaylee was stepping outside he front door too. “Morning.” They both said at the same time. “Ugh. I don’t want to look alike!” Kaylee said. “Yeah. I know. Me either. Oh, and my mom says hi and good-luck.” Nick said. “Yeah. My mom says the same. She kept doing those crazy questions moms ask.” She said. “Yeah. Mine too. Does your mom have to be in court today?” Nick said. “No. She had a case tomarrow though.” Said Kaylees. Her mom was a lawyer, and her dad owned a huge company. Nick’s mom was also a lawyer, and his dad was president of a huge company. “Ready then?” Nick asked. “Yep.” Kaylee said. They lived in Washington D.C. They loved it, but getting to school was always a bit difficult. Especially now. No, they walk to the subway, take it for 10 minutes, walk one block, and then there’s the school. They’d been practicing over the summer so they new it well.

The Same Day, 7:32 a.m.-

“There it is.” Said Kaylee. “Yep.” Nick said. They stood in front of the Gallagher Academy. “Ready.” Nick asked. “I guess that I kinda have to be huh?” Kaylee said. “Can’t turn back now.” Nick said. “Then let’s go.” Kaylee said. They walke through the huge iron gate. The security guard opened it. “Man. Security. Spoiled people definetly go her.” Said Nick. “You’re telling me.” Kaylee said. They walked down a stone path. There were fountains and plants all around them. Finally, the reached the enterance. “It’s huge.” Nick whispered. “Yeah.” Kaylee whispered back. “Wonder what it looks like inside.” He whispered back. “Me too. Why are we whispering?” Kaylee whispered. “I dunno. Dramatic affect I gues.” Nick whispered. They laughed. They walked up the iron steps and Nick opened the huge mahogany door. “Ladies firs.” Nick said. “Shut-up.” Kaylee said, and grabbed him by the shirt, pulling him playfully. They walked towards the main office. When they walked in, the principal was waiting for them. “Good-morning. I’m Mrs. Patterson. I’m the principal here at the Gallagher Academy for the Gifted Youth.” She said. She was wearing a skirt, blouse, and heel. Nothing like the school uniform. It was pink. “Um. Hello. I’m Kaylee Williams.” Kaylee said. “Good-morning ma’am. I’m Nick Jonas.” Nick said. “Yes. I know. If you two would so kindly follow me to my office, I’d like to discuss some things with you.” Mrs. Patterson said. They followed her to her office. “Please sit.” She said. Kaylee and Nick sat in two over-sized chairs. “Well, first of all I’d like to say we’re very glad you could join us here at the Gallagher Academy.” Mrs. Patterson said. “Thank-you ma’am. The school is amazing.” Kaylee said. “Yes, it is.” Nick said. “Well, thank-you. But this is a very special school. After going here your lives will be changed forever.” She said. “Um. Ma’am. If you don’t mind my asking, what do you mean our lives will be changed forever. I mean, I know that this is a school for gifted youth. So do you mean that the education will change our lives?” Nick asked. “Well. In a way yes. The education is amazing. And I’m guessing that’s why your parents enrolled you to our school.” Mrs. Patterson said. They nodded. “Well, what I’m about to tell you about our school you must tell no-one. Not your parents, friends, no-one.” She said. They nodded. “This school, is a CIA training school. Here we are training today’s youth to become CIA agents.” Mrs. Patterson said. Kaylee and Nick looked at eachother. “Wh-what!?” they both said. “This school is a school for spies.” Mrs. Patterson said.

Chapter 3

Still Monday September 5, 7:48 a.m.-

“Wh-what” Nick said. “No, no, no. This isn’t possible. This is a school for gifted youth. So you’re playing a joke on us right. Mess with the new kids right. Please say that that is what’s happening.” Kaylee said. Nick and her were in absolute disbelief. How could this be a school for spies? Just how? “I’m afraid not dear. This is really real. It’s a spy school, and now you’ll be training to be one. And like I said, you must tell NOONE. Understand?” Mrs. Patterson said. They nodded. “Good. Now to make things a bit easier for the both of you, I’ve given you the same schedules.” Mrs. Patterson said. She handed them their schedules. “And, you’ll have a guide to help you get around the school. Anna, please come in.” she continued. A girl about 5’5” walked into her office. She had dirty blonde hair, blue eyes, and a gorgeous white smile. “Yes ma’am.” Anna said. “Kaylee and Nick, this is Anna White. Anna, this is Kaylee William and Nick Jonas.” Mrs. Patterson said. “Nice to meet you.” Anna said holding out her freshly, perfect manicured hand. “Nice to meet you too.” Kaylee said, holding out her pretty-perfect manicured hand. They shook hands. “It’s nice to meet you too.” Nick said, holding out his hand. “You too.” Anna said, shaking his. “Man, she’s gorgeous.” Nick thought. Kaylee must have known what he was thinking because she elbowed him. “Welcome to the Gallagher Academy for gifted youth, or spies. Gifted youth is just the cover. I’m assuming that Mrs. Patterson already briefed you that it’s a spy school. And that you must never tell anyone that it’s a spy school.” Anna said. “Yes. She did.” Kaylee said. “Great, well let’s look at your schedules and then we’ll go on a tour of the school.” Anna said. They showed her their schedules. “Let’s see. Yall have Basic Self-Defense 1st Period, Spanish 2nd Period, Math 3rd Period, Science 4th Period, Language Arts 5th Period, World History 6th Period, and Latin for Beginners 7th Period.” She said. “Follow me and I’ll show you where everything is.” Anna said. They followed her all over the school. She also showed them their lockers. They were right next to eachother; numbers 143 and 145. “Okay. So now I’m going to let you go. Good-luck and if you need anything just let me know okay.” Anna said. “Okay. Thank-you.” Nick said. Anna walked away. “So.” Kaylee said. “So what.” Nick said. “You like her?” “What. No. Why’d you think something like that?” Um. I dunno. Maybe ‘cause you kept starring at her.” “Okay. She’s pretty.” “Go for it.” “What. No way. She’s a junior. We’re freshman.” “So. Who cares.” “I barely know her.” “Okay. Whatever. Let’s get to class.” Kaylee said.

Monday, September 5, Basic Self Defense 8:15 a.m.:

“Good morning class.” A tall, muscular man said as he walked into the classroom” “Good-morning.” The class said back. “My name is Mr. Cullens. I am your new Basic Self Defense teacher.” Mr. Cullens said. “Now I know that you are all freshman here, but that doesn’t mean that I’ll go easy on you. You’ll be expected to do everything that I tell you, turn in all work, and not be tardy. If you fail to do any of these things there will be severe consequences.” Mr. Cullens said. “Now, I want to know who all of you are. So let’ start up here.” Mr. Cullens said. “I’m Natalie Right.” One girl said. “I’m Britney McDonald.” “I’m Troy Letside” “I’m Krystal Barnes.” “I’m Amber Richardson.” “I’m Neil Bucksbee.” “I’m Kaylee Williams.” “I’m Nick Jonas.” “I’m Sarah Loner.” “I’m Brett Marshall” “I’m Tiffany Davis.” “I’m Ashley Knowles.”  Everyone had said their name. “Wow. Small class.” Mr. Cullens said. “So, Let’s get started with Basic Self-Defense.”

Okay everyone. Let me know what you think!!!

Chapter 4

Monday, September 5, 12:17 p.m., Lunchtime-

“I still can’t believe that this is happening.” Kaylee said as they sat down. “Well believe it baby, ‘cause it’s real.” Nick said. “But it just doesn’t make since. I mean everyone in all of D.C. probably says that this is where all of the rich people send their snobby stuck up kids.” Kaylee said, taking a sip of her Diet Coke. “Well, I guess everyone, including us, were wrong. Guess that’s why people who go here graduate and are never heard from again.” Nick said. “Yeah. Guess you’re right. Besides, not all snobby-stuck up people go here. We’re not.” Kaylee said. “Exactly. Have a positive outlook on things.” Nick said and took a sip of his Red Bull. “But I’m kinda scared. I mean, we could go on a mission and never come back. Doesn’t that scare you?” Kaylee asked. Nick shrugged. “Haven’t thought of it that much. But if we do have to go on some mission, I don’t know how we’re going to keep from our parents where we’re going and why.” Nick said, bighting into his chicken sandwich. “Yeah. It’d be kinda hard to explain to them why we have to go to Japan for school for the week or something.” Kaylee said. They laughed. “Actually, the school handles everything. Since this is supposed to be a school for ‘geniuses’ or ‘gifted youth’ the school just ells everyone that they’re extra-curricular activities that the government pays for to help educate the young gifted minds about the world, it’s countries, and it’s cultures. Going out of the country will become a usual thing, and your parents will adapt and start to not even notice that you’re gone all of the time. I know that that’s the way mine are.” Anna had stopped at the table they were sitting at. She obviously overheard them talking. Nick starred into her gorgeous blue eyes. Kaylee kicked him under the table to get him out of his trance. “Oh. Um. Really?” Nick said. “Yeah. Trust me. You won’t have to do anything.” Anna said. Another girl walked over by Anna. She had dirty blonde hair, green eyes, and was about 5’4”. “Hey Anna. Gonna introduce me to your new freshman friends?” she asked. “Sure. Guys, this is Lizzie. Lizzie, this is Kaylee and Nick.” Anna said. “Nice ot meet you.” Lizzie said. “You too.” They said at the same time. “So are yall like a couple or something. First day and people are already hooking up.” Lizzie said. Nick and Kaylee laughed. “What?” Lizzie asked confused. “Dating? Please. Me and Nick have been best, best friends since we were babies. We live next door to eachother.” Kaylee said. “And we do everything together.” Nick added. “Yeah.” Kaylee said. “Oh. Okay then. Well your parents must have money if they could afford to send you here. What do they do?” Lizzie asked. “My mom’s a lawyer and my dad owns a huge company.” Kaylee said. Lizzie nodded. “And my mom’s also a lawyer, and my dad is president of a huge company.” Nick said. “Like, does your dad own the company and your dad is the president of it?” Lizzie asked. “Nope. Two different companies.” Nick said. “Hey. We’ll let you get back to your lunch. See ya later.” Anna said, dragging Lizzie away.

Anna’s P.O.V.

After that little meeting with Kaylee and Nick, Nick was all that Lizzie could talk about. “He is so cute.” Liz kept saying. “Yeah. He is.” I’d keep saying. “You so like him.” Liz said. “Do not.” I said. “Do so.” Liz said. “Okay. I think that he’s nice, But It’s not like I’m gonna date him. He’s too young for me.” I said. “Whatever.” Liz said.
