The Wrong Girl? -new ff

Okay, your mom works for a teen magazine and drags you along to a new year's party against your will. things happen and you end up getting kissed by Nick Jonas, but wait, he thought you were his girl friend...oops! your mom and the whole gossip world goes crazy! How would you deal with being Nick Jonas' "girlfriend"? Well that is what Carina Duvaull experiences in my fan fiction... "The Wrong Girl?".

What do you think? if you like it, i'll post it, if not, oh well.

Re: The Wrong Girl? -new ff

Hey guys, here is the first chapter! tell me what you think!

Maggie

live laugh love jonas style! woo! yeah-ya!

Chapter 1

“Good morning, Carina!” my mom greeted, as she pulled open the blinds to reveal the dark, early morning sky, of another endless day of school.
“Mom, please! A few more minutes?” I pleaded, longing to stay beneath the warm covers as long as possible.
“No, you are not going to make Devin wait for you. He is being as nice as it often gets for him to drive you to school every morning.”
“Yeah, right. Mom, why can’t you just give him a little more leeway? His looks aren’t really who he is.”
“And to think I named him a name that means perfect,” she grumbled.
My mom had serious issues with my older brother, who was an all out punk rocker who was a senior in high school. I love him to death, because he was the only one who understands me. My mom was a photographer, interviewer, whatever for some teen magazine, so she was always in on the latest gossip and too busy snooping into celeb’s personal lives to know what was going on in ours. My dad was a psychiatrist. He was also French, but didn’t sound it one bit. Rather odd, but I had gotten used to my family and its often annoying quirks.
I slowly pulled my self away from my bed, grabbed another trendy outfit from my closet, and crept into the bathroom to get ready for another Friday at Benjamin Skylar Academy, in Hollywood, California, also called BS. Yippee.
“Hi, daddy!” I greeted, as I plopped myself down at the table.
“Hello, Carina, here you go,” he replied, handing me a crepe, as usual. Ah, the joy of French cooking.
“Oh, Carina! I want you to come with me to the New Year Party tonight with me. It’s going to be fun!” my mom declared, excited about dragging me to yet another celebrity party on a Friday night. I hated going to them, because I wasn’t famous, I didn’t deserve to be there with all the loony celebs. I was just a tag along to another nosy reporter, and no one wants to be that.
“Mom, I don’t want to go. Do I have to?”
“Yes, it is a great opportunity for you! You’ll regret it if you don’t go.”
“Cherri, you could be doing some psychological damage to your daughter by not giving her a choice. Do you know that? Studies have shown…” my dad started.
“Marc, this is an experience she needs to experience. It will be good for her, to meet the icons of America.” And the debate goes on from there, and I know that because this argument comes up every time my mom decides I need to go with her to yet another celebrity shindig.
“Bye mom! Bye dad!” I called as I raced out the front door and jumped in the black Mustang Devin was waiting for me in.
Devin was wearing black skinny jeans, a red and black checked shirt, and a leather jacket. His hair was black like my dads, with red streaks in it. His hair was cut in an edgy punk style that stars like Fall Out Boy had.
“They’re fighting about me, again,” I sighed.
“Welcome to the unofficial club of misunderstood teenagers!” he exclaimed, his make up lined eyes twinkling.
“Thanks, she grumbled about you this morning, before I was even out of bed. What have you done now?”
“I’m dating a girl and you know, they hate her, but I don’t care.”
“I know you don’t and that’s fine with me, as long as I don’t have to watch you guys make out on the living room sofa like you did with Burgundy.”
And we sat in silence, except for the Fall Out Boy music blaring from the speakers and Devin wailing and head banging along. I love my brother, he’s such a sweetie.
“So I was like, ‘Justin, what do you think of my dress?’ the other night, and he was like, ‘you are so bringing sexy back.’” Chanel squealed at the lunch table. Yep, Justin Timberlake told her she was bringing sexy back. Whoop de do. Everyone knows Justin; I mean everyone has dinner with a celebrity at least twice a month, maybe even more.
“Hey, Carina, how’s your cousin doing?” Chloe asked, as I pulled out my sandwich form my Louis Vuitton lunch bag.
“Oh, well she got a job in modeling at Victoria’s Secret and she still thinks she’s going to marry the lead singer of Maroon 5.”
“Euwwwww! That guy’s ugly!” Bailee exclaimed, giggling.
“Euwwwww! That’s my dad!” shrieked Chanel. Chloe loved to push her buttons, especially with all this stuff about her dad and all the people that want to marry him. Chanel knew we were kidding, anyways.
“So, anyone have any news?” Dior asked, gathering our attention. She was our unofficial leader of the popular girls or PGs.
“Well, my mom’s dragging me to another celeb party tonight and I don’t really want to go, because, who wants to be an annoying reporter’s tag along?”
“No one and I fully understand, my dad keeps wanting me to help cater some of these parties for celebrities, hoping I’ll form a bond with one of them and get some fame for his business,” Bailee said.
“But, you’re dad’s the best caterer in all of Hollywood! Why would he need any more fame?” Chanel asked, and it was the honest truth. Mr. Polino was the man when it came to catering parties.
“Anyways, we understand. Parents can be like that,” Dior stated.
So here I was, on a Friday night, wearing a green sparkly dress with black shoes, necklace, earrings, and bracelets, and my many toned blonde hair in loose curls. I was about as ready I was going to be.

hey! thanks for the comments! here's the next chapter! enjoy!

Maggie

Chapter 2

“Oh, thank you for joining me, Carina. I’m hoping for a big story tonight. Our magazine hasn’t had one in awhile. You’ll let me know about anything you learn tonight, right? Oh, it’s going to be a blast!” my mom cheered, as she parked her car and we walked over to the fancy restaurant where the party was being held.
“Sure,” I agreed, but I wasn’t even considering keeping my promise. I just wanted to make it through the night, if that was possible.
I spent a good part of the first few hours of the party making small talk with a variety of celebrities, making sure to take special note of who was with who, because the PGs would want to know. Some of the people I talked to were Justin Timberlake, who said I was also bringing sexy back, Cody Linley, Brie Larson, the Sprouse boys, the incredibly talented and gorgeous Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, and the one and only Hilary Presley.
Hilary Presley was a pop star princess that went through boys like girls go through clothes- fast. Magazines were even having trouble keeping up with the many loves of Hilary. I didn’t exactly care for her and her ways, but I did care that she was going with the one and only stud muffin, Nick Jonas, and surprisingly, this relationship was lasting for a long time. I wasn’t dying to make out with him or anything, but I did find him likeable from a distance.
“Come on, Carina! Go dance!” my mom encouraged, and before I could disagree, I was pushed into the crowd of wild, dancing famous people. I was moved this way and that, and then I some how ended up beneath the disco ball, the eye of the hurricane. Strobe lights flashed and music blared from speakers that surrounded the room, the noise, the dancing, it all was overwhelming and confusing. I stood there looking for a way out. I glanced at my watch and it was midnight.
“Hey, you came!” a voice said, and before I could see who had said it, my lips were pressed against his in a cinematic kiss. When he finally pulled away, a look of shock covered his face, and then we saw a camera flash. We turned in the direction of it, and there stood my mom, holding a camera, looking excited. I turned to look at who had kissed me, and it was no one other than, Nicholas Jerry Jonas. Oh, crap.
More cameras flashed and Nick pulled me through the tangle of partiers and reporters, down a hallway, and into a telephone booth.
“I am so sorry!” Nick apologized.
“It’s okay, I guess,” I replied, not really knowing yet because my head was spinning with all that had occurred in the last few minutes.
“I’m Nick, and it’s not okay, because I just dug us both into a huge celeb gossip hole and I’m going with Hilary, and… and… I don’t know,” he blurted out, slumping down to the ground.
“I’m Carina, and I know about you and Hilary and basically everything because my mom works for a magazine and she was the first one to take a picture of us.”
“Well, do you think she’ll delete those pictures?”
“No, definitely no, she was hoping for a big story to emerge and she has one and nothing is going to get in her way. Plus, a million of other people have pictures of us, so it’s pretty much hopeless.”
“I agree, and what am I going to do when Hilary finds out?”
“Actually, I don’t think she really will care, because I saw her grinding Cody earlier and she seemed to have forgotten she had you. Sorry, about that.”
“Hey, I lost one girl and got another that I know nothing about. Isn’t life great?!” he exclaimed sarcastically.
“Yeah, and my mom is going to be quizzing me all night long. Fantastic!” I grumbled.
“Where do you live? My brothers and I will gladly give you a ride home, since we are technically now an ‘item’,” he offered.
       “Sure, that would be great.”
Nick texted his brothers and within minutes, they were standing outside the phone booth.
“So this is the girl, huh?” Joe asked as Nick and I came out of the booth.
“Well, yeah, sort of, if that is how you want to put it,” Nick replied, sheepishly, suddenly embarrassed about it.
“I’m Carina, and we’ll tell you the story at a later time. Right now, I’d like to leave before anything else can happen.”
“Good point,” Kevin said, and a few minutes later, we were seated in a comfy limo.
“I better call my mom and let her know where I am,” I stated, dialing her cell number quickly.
“Hello? Carina! Give me the details!” she exclaimed over the phone, so loud, all three of the boys looked at me.
“Mom, I’ve got a ride home, just wanted to let you know.”
“Are you riding with the Jonas Brothers?! Hi, boys!” she yelled, and they continued to stare.
“I gotta go, bye,” I cut her off and flipped the phone shut, before she could ask anything more.
       “Wow,” was all Kevin said.
“So what are we going to do about us?” Nick asked, turning to look at me.
“We need to talk somewhere private for awhile, because this isn’t going to be easy to get out of.”
“I know. How about you come over to my house tomorrow and figure things out, because that is about as private as it’s going to get.”
“Okay, I’ll get my brother to drive me over so it won’t look suspicious. Where do you live?” I asked, and he rattled off his address. The limo stopped outside of my house, we said good bye, and I escaped into the dark quiet of my house, where my dad was asleep in the recliner and my brother was no where to be seen. Mom wasn’t home, yet. Good.
