Chapter 2
"Kevin."I whispered as I looked at him in shock.(Me:hehe I bet you guys thought it was Nick.)
Kevin's mouth was hanging open half way as he looked at me he looked as shocked as I did.
"Mandy."He said his mouth forming into a smile as he held his hands out and pulled me into a hug.
I slowly hugged him back.
"Hey."I said softly as I pulled away trying to put on a smile but deep down I was worried about Nick being there.
"Come in."He said as He opened the door and stood there waiting for me to walk into the apartment.
I looked at him and then at the door.
"Kev...."
"Nick's not here."He said interupting me.
I sighed as I looked at him and nodded my head as I walked into the aparment glancing around as I did.There was a girl who looked about Kevin's age sitting on the couch.
"Hi."She said with a little smile.
I smiled back and waved.
"Mandy this is my fiance Ashley."He said as he walked over and sat down beside her putting his arm around her"Ashley this is well our friend Mandy."
"Is she the one you guys wrote the song about?"She asked.
"Yeah that's me."I said with a little laugh as I glanced around the room.
"Mandy,have a seat."Kevin said with a little laugh.
I smiled a little and sat down as looked at him and Ashley.
"So what brings you guys back here?"I asked.
Kevin frowned a little as he looked down.
"We decided to give up the band for a little while."He said with a little shrug"Some of us were ready to settle down."
"Oh."I said as I looked around"Where are Joe and Nick?"
"Well Joe and his girlfriend went out to do something and Nick I really don't know where he is."Kevin said with a little shrug.
"Lizz I met her yesterday."I said with a little"She was really nice."
"Yeah Joe loves her."Kevin said with a little smile.
"I thought so."I said softly.
"So would you like a tour of the aparment?"Kevin asked as he stood up.
"Sure."I said as I stood up with him and followed him.
He showed me the kitchen,the small room where they kept there instruments,the room he shared with Joe until he got married and then last he took me to Nick's room.
I glanced around.
"Is it ok if I go in there?"I asked as I looked up at him.
"I don't see what it would hurt."He said with a little smile"I'm going to go and start making some dinner though,your welcome to stay if you want."
"Not to be mean or anything Kev,but I really don't want to stay for dinner if Nick's going to be here."I said softly.
"I undertstand."He said sighing"What happened with you two anyways?"
I sighed as I looked down at my wrist.
"He broke up with me so that he would be single when you guys went on tour with Miley."I said softly biting my lip because it still brought tears to my eyes when I thought about it.
"Aww Mandy I'm so sorry."Kevin said softly as he walked towards me.
"No it's fine Kev."I said quickly wiping my eyes and taking a step back.
Kevin stopped and nodded his head before he turned back around and headed out the door.
"Just turn the light off and shut the door when you get done."He said as he walked out shutting the door behind him.
I sighed as I looked around Nick's room at everything,he still had boxes sitting around that weren't unpacked but a picture on his desk caught my eyes.I slowly walked over and picked it up.It was a picture of us from five years ago the summer before we broke up or well before Nick broke up with me.
I sighed as I sat the picture down and looked around the room some more before I finally sat down on his bed his room smelled just the way his old one did when we were younger which was the colonge that Nick wore.I smiled a little,I never really realized how much I missed Nick until now and how much I still cared about him even if he had broken my heart.
I heard someone opening the door and I quickly looked up thinking that Kevin was coming back but boy was I wrong,I watched as the door opened and Nick stepped in,stopping dead in his tracks when he saw me.I quickly jumped up off of the bed.
~Nick's POV~
I sighed as I walked down the sidewalk towards our aparment building,I had gone back to our old neighborhood becuase I was trying to find Mandy.I wanted to appologise for everything that I had done to her all those years back but when I got to her house no one was there and their neighor said that Mandy no longer lived there with her parents.I had been thinking about her alot lately and I was regretting ever breaking her heart,even if five years had passed I still loved her.
I had gone by the park after that and walked around hoping maybe she came there to walk or something but no such luck.I would just have to call her parents house later and hopefully they would tell me where she was.
I took a deep breathe as I headed into the apartment building and up the flight of stairs to our apartment,I unlocked the door and walked inside Kevin was in the kitchen with Ashley they were talking about something.
"Nick."Kevin said quickly when he saw me standing there,he looked like a kid who had just gotten caught putting his hand in the cookie jar.
"Hi Kevin."I said with a little laugh"Why are you so surprised to see me I do live here you know."
"It's just I wasn't expecting you to be back so soon."He said.
Kevin never was a good liar.
"Uh huh sure just let me know when dinner gets done."I said as I walked towards my room.
"Nick wait."Kevin said coming after me but Ashley stopped him whispering something to him.He nodded and sighed a little but turned back to whatever he was doing.
I walked down the hall to my room and slowly opened the door and stepped into my room stopping dead in my tracks when I saw Mandy sitting there on my bed.
Is that really her?Wow she's matured so much.
I watched her as she quickly jumped off the bed.
