Just So You Know..I'm Crazy About You.<3

Chapter 1 3 years ago I layed on my bed and stared up at my ceiling, contemplating my life. It was Saturday, and once again, I had absolutely nothing to do. Suddenly, my phone started ringing from across the room. I nearly jumped 20 feet when I heard it. I grabbed my phone and answered it. “Hello?” I said. “Vikk! It’s Joe! I have AMAZING news!” he practically screamed in the phone. I smiled, “Another gig?” I said, as I walked over to my closet and started searching for something to wear. I knew my best friend too well, and I could tell that’s EXACTLY what he meant. “Yes, but not just ANY gig. There’s gonna be like 200 people there!” he cried. I giggled. He wasn’t used to getting more than 50 people at him and his brothers shows, so to him this was huge. “Okay, where and when?” “At the Crazy Donkey at 7” he said, still sounding more excited than he ever had his life. “Okay, see you there” I said and hung up. When I got there, there was definitely a lot more people than usual. When the boys came out onstage, I couldn’t help but smile. I’ve known Joe since I was 5, and he always had a passion to be a musician or comedian or SOMETHING that put him in the spotlight. Me, him and his littler brother Nicholas would always be putting on little skits and performances when we were little. That’s the thing me and Joe always could relate on; we had a passion for music. I too was working on getting a music career started up, but unfortunately I wasn’t as successful as my best friend was. But hey, I was so insanely happy for him that none of that matters. After they finished, they all took one final bow and went offstage. I made my way to the backstage area. When Joe saw me, he ran over and I gave him a huge hug. “You were amazing!” I said “Ah thanks! And thanks for coming!” he said, hugging me again. “You know I wouldn’t miss it for the world” I said and smiled at him. “Joseph!” someone called from behind us. We turned around, it was Papa J. “Hey Mr. J!” I said and waved. “Hello Victoria” he said and smiled. “Joe, can you come here for a second?” “Sure” he said and looked at me “Be right back” he said and followed his dad, brothers Nick and Kevin, and 2 other men into the back room. I waited for what seemed like forever. Finally, they emerged from the room. Joe didn’t look too happy. “Joe, whats wrong?” I said “Oh, n-nothing.” He said and smiled. I could tell it was fake though. Suddenly, I jumped. My phone was vibrating in my pocket. I grabbed my phone and answered. “Hello?” I said, turning away from Joe. “Victoria Jennie McCrory, you are 1 hour past curfew!” my mom shouted into the phone. ‘Crap’ I thought. “Oh my gosh, Sorry I’ll be home in 10 minutes.” I said and hung up and turned back to Joe. “I gotta go. Awesome job tonight!” I said. I hugged him quickly and before he could say anything else I was out the door.

Chapter 1

Chapter 2

I woke up to the sound of my phone ringing. I reached over towards the nightstand and grabbed my phone, nearly knocking over everything else in the process. I rubbed my eyes and stared at the caller ID. When I saw who it was, I smiled.

“Hey Joe.” I said as I sat up and glanced over at the clock. 10:27 AM.
“Woah, How’d you know it was me?” he said, sounding alittle surprised.
“Joseph, they have this little thing called Caller ID now. Get with the program” I said
“Uhm, well. I knew that” he said with a little laugh
“So, whats up?” I said as I walked over to my closet.
“Well, I wanted to know if you could hang out today?” he said
“Well, I don’t know if-“ I said before he cut me off
“Please.” He said, sounding alittle worried.
“Joe, is something going on?” I said
“Uhh, No I just wanted to chill for the day” he said
“Are you sure, because-” I said before he cut me off.
“Nothings wrong Vikki, I promise” he said.
I sighed “Okay see you in a bit”

I quickly threw on a pair of jeans, a blue cami and flipflops and headed out the door to find Joe standing there, looking sadder than ever.
“Joe, somethings wrong, I can tell” I said as I walked over to him.
“Come on, follow me” he said as he grabbed my hand.
I gave him a strange look and followed.

We walked for about 10 minutes, until we finally arrived at the Wyckoff Recreation Center.

“Remember this place?” he said, putting his hands in his pockets.
“How could I forget,” I said with a smile, “It’s where we first met, like what, 10 years ago?”
“You got it. Race you to the swings!” he said and took off.
I laughed and followed.

We spent the entire day hanging out at the park. It brought so many memories back from when were little kids.

“Vick, I have some news.” Joe said, his whole mood suddenly changing. He sat down on the bench and motioned for me to do the same.

I knew something was wrong I thought to myself. I sat down, alittle afraid to find out what he going to say.

“Well, you know how me and my brothers have been doing this band thing?” He said.

“Yeah” I replied, looking him in his eyes.

“Well, we found out this record company wanted to sign us last night” He said.

“Oh my gosh, Joe! That’s amazing!” I said, pulling him into a massive hug. When I pulled away, I noticed he was crying.

“Joe, your dream is finally coming true. What are you so upset for?!” I said.

“Well..” he said, looking down.

“What Joe?!” I cried, now getting worried.

“We’re moving. To California.” He said.

Chapter 3

“We’re moving. To California”
The words replayed over and over in my head.
“W-what?” I said, feeling a lump form in my throat.
“Yeah..” he said, looking down.
“When are you leaving?” I said, still shocked. My best friend of 10 years was leaving. It seemed so unreal.
“Tomorrow.” He said.

I stood up.
"I h-have to go." I said, feeling the tears welling up in my eyes. Before he could say another word, I bolted down the road.

"VIKKI! WAIT!" he cried, but I ignored him. I don't know why, but I couldn't deal with this right now.

As soon as I got back to my house, I shut the door behind me and completely broke down. This was so unreal. He couldn't leave me like this!

I cried myself to sleep that night.

The next morning, I knew I had to go back and say goodbye, as much as it would kill me. I got ready as quick as possible and grabbed my phone. There were, 34 missed calls; all from Joe. I felt so stupid for running off like that. I quickly dialed his number. He picked up on the first ring.

"Finally you call back." he said, sounding really upset.
"Joe, I'm so sorry. I just-I just couldn't deal with it." I said, still feeling like an idiot.
"Whatever. You wanna come with us to the airport?" He said.

'The Airport' I thought, 'He's really leaving'

"Ofcourse." I said
"Okay, we'll pick you up in a bit, unless you wanna just walk over. We have to just load the bags in the car."
"Okay, I'll be there in a sec." I said before I hung up.

I walked over to the Jonas house, or should I say the former Jonas house, one last time to find Joe sitting on the front steps already. I walked over to him and smiled.
"So, you all ready?" I said, trying to make light of the situation. But he still seemed really upset.
"No. Vick, what am I supposed to do without you?" he said, looking me in the eyes.
I bit my lip, trying to hold back the tears.
"Joe, we'll see eachother again. You'll be touring, and I'll come to all the shows you play around here!" I said
"I know, but it's just not the same you know?" he said, letting out a bit sigh.

"Joseph, it's time to go." Mr. Jonas said, as he loaded the last bag into the trunk and shut it.

We all got into the car and headed to the airport. The car ride was silent. No one said a word. When we got there, Nick finally broke the silence. "So, this is it." he said, getting out of the car. We all walked inside and went through all the airport procedures. We were there for about an hour, until the intercom announced, "Now Boarding Flight 198 To Los Angeles."

Kevin suddenly looked up at me.
"That's us." He said.

He walked over to me and gave me a big hug.
"I'm gonna miss you so much. Keep intouch!" he said
"I definately will." I said with a smile.

Then Nick ran up to me and gave a huge hug. I could tell he was about to cry, which made me want to cry.
"I'm gonna miss you so much Vikki." he said, hugging me tight.
"I'm gonna miss you too buddy. We'll definately see eachother again, I promise" I said smiling at him.

"Goodbye Victoria. Keep intouch" Mr. Jonas said, giving me a hug, followed by Mrs. Jonas. They all started walking away, leaving me and Joe alone. I looked at him and he looked at me, and we both broke down. He held me tight and we cried on eachothers shoulders.
"Joe, I'm gonna miss you so much, you have no idea" I said, holding him tight.
"I'm gonna miss you too." he said. "I got you something."
He reached in his pocket and took out a box. He handed it to me, "Something so you'll never forget me, I suppose."
I opened it and inside was the most beautiful ring I'd ever seen. Engraved in it was "VM + JJ Forever."

I looked at him and burst into tears.
"I could never forget you Joe. I love you so much!" I said, resting my head on his chest.
"I love you too. I always have and you know that." he said.

"LAST CALL FOR FLIGHT 198 TO LOS ANGELES. LAST CALL FOR FLIGHT 198 TO LOS ANGELES." the lasy on the intercom announced.

"I have to go." he said, looking down, tears falling from his eyes.
I held him tight one last time and kissed him on the cheek.
"Never forget me." I whispered in his ear.

And with that, he walked away, without ever looking back.
