Landslide!


Chapter 1
 Gabby grabbed her yellow zip-up from American Apparel, and shoved it to the bottom of the box. She stuffed about ten more t-shirts into that same box including her Jonas brothers tour t-shirt, a rolling stones, and a guitar shirt. She sighed and looked down at the box. 2008 was just not going to be the same that year, in so many ways. It would be her first year out of Michigan, This year she wouldn't be spending everyday at school with her bestfriends and loving brothers, but instead acting on her very own T.V show. She would not be living in the same house, but instead she would be in a apartment in New York, and although she was thrilled with the new T.v show, she would miss being with Shayla. She groaned and opened another box, putting posters and photo albums in this one. She opened the photo album to view the pictures of her past, before Gabby Lasanto started to audition for every single commercial and play out there, and got discovered. She flipped through a few pages, smiling at her young self. She flipped to the last page and saw the pictures of herself with Stephanie. She smiled, then let a warm tear fall down her cheek. One more change about 2008, this year would be the first year without her older sister to be alive. She let another tear roll down her cheek, then she shoved the photo album away, and layed on her bed, missing how it used to be.

 Tessa looked out the window, and silently sang the words hello beautiful to herself. She saw a few snowflakes drift down, and instantly decided a walk in central Park would be nice. She jumped up off her window seat and walked to her closest, and grabbed her jacket and scarf. She caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror and sighed, this is what winter New York City weather did to you. It made your cheeks all to rosy, and your skin all to pale. She sighed again, not knowing how to feel, happy or sad. The year was coming to the end, and the only thing that could make the year good was the Jonas Brothers concert that was in 2 days, besides that her year would be a waste and she was letting time pass by and not making it count. I mean she is a happy person, but how could she continue to be a waste, and let her life be a waste. So she called to her mother that she be back later, and she glided out her apartment door, walked down the steps, and out on the streets of Manhatten. She thought of everything from how she could make her life an accheivement, to what she was wearing at the concert. She kept walking and made her way to central park, she stopped and breathed in, only 3 more days and she would be able to remake herself, love others, and herself, in the new year.

 Courtney threw her suitcase onto her bed, her queen sized bed. She turned on the CD player and blasted S.O.S. The beats vibed the whole room, and she walked towards the window and peeked out the curtain. She was in the Plaza in New York City, and she had a perfect view. Her best friend, Julia, had started screaming the lyrics and Courtney soon had joined in. It was Winter break and the Jonas Brothers concert was in 2 days, so she decided this New Years was going to be special. She flew her and her best friend out to New York City, and bought tickets to a Jonas Brothers concert. It was now or never, she was 20, and she only had a few more years before she had to get serious, why not have fun while you can. So she jumped around, she sang the Lyrics with Julia, and just enjoyed herself. She knew this New Years would be special, well because with 2 days she would in the presence of her one true love, Kevin Jonas.

   "Won the fight, buddy?" She asked, he nodded his head, and put some headphones in his ears, and stuck 3 pieces of gum in his mouth, he hated flights. She pulled out her iphone and started listening to her music.

   Tessa hummed to herself as she walked by crowds of people trying to get some after Christmas returning  shopping done, considering Christmas was 4 days ago. She kept humming and started walking to a beat. People started to watch her as she started to skip and her arms started flailing a bit. Then she came to a stop aware of what she was doing.
 "Sorry!" She said then kept moving. She had finally got out of her house and she felt better already, she loved the cold weather, it refreshed her. She had also figured out how to better her life. So she moved toward the park, then she stopped to pick up a wrapper on the ground and threw it in the waste bin. She had completely forgot about her problems with her life before, she was just one of those girls who were genuinley happy. She finally had arrived at the park, she went out into an open field.
    She started spinning around, forgetting everything. The snow was still falling yet she was still spinning round, forgetting what anyone thought of her. She heard a faint yell in the distance but she couldn't make it out. She stopped for a second to see who could be yelling, then she saw a bright neon frisbee headed her way, then she saw a little boy following after it. She caught it in mid-air and looked it over.
   She felt a slight tug on her white and black pea coat. She looked down and saw the young boy, who obviously wanted his frisbee back.
    "Oh I'm sorry, is this yours?" She asked him.
     "Yes, its my favorite Frisbe" He replied with a smile. She handed it to him, and looked at his face, he was a cute little boy.
     "Who are you playing it with?" She asked him.
     "My brothers!" He yelled.
     "Well where are they?" She asked quizzically.
     "OVER there" He pointed.
      "Well why don't I walk you over there."
      "Okay, My names Frankie!" He said matter of a factly.
     "My names Tessa!" I replied. We started walking towards where his brothers were standing.

 Courtney ran her fingers threw her long brown hair as she waited for Julia to be done putting mascara on so they could go out. Courtney tapped her fingers on the nightstand by the bed, and made humming noises to clue Julia in on the fact that she was and always will be impatient.
     "There I'm done, HAPPY NOW?" She yelled in a playful voice.
      "YESSS!" Courtney yelled back. They both giggled and Courtney picked up her key to her room, and they headed for the door. Courtney walked by the mirror and decided to take one last look at herself, she didn't look half bad, her dark brown hair was pin straight and in place, she had a slimming black sequined dress on. She grabbed her clutch and the Jonas Brothers CD.
     They walked down a couple flights of stairs laughing at a couple of kids playing on them. They had finally arrived to the lobby, which was an amazing sight. They had a huge Christmas tree, lights everywhere, and happy people crowding around. It could get anyone depressed, Courtney loved Christmas and wished it had lasted forever. Courtney smiled at a few people as they walked by and waved.
    "Awe great. Now we have to get a taxi!" Julia said to me as we swang out of the revolving doors.
"I'll handle this." Courtney smirked.
"TAXII!"
