chapter one.
–how it all began.
I woke up at 4:30 am to my cousin trying to pack my clothes.
"I already did that." I said groggily.
"We are staying for longer than I said."
"We are ?"
"Yeah. The agency has three more jobs for you."
"Three?" wow. "What about you?"
"They got me the Broadway gig."
"Oh yeah. So how long are we staying."
"Three months."
"Wow. Do my parents know this?"
"Yes they do."
It was the summer before my senior year. My cousin and I auditioned to be apart of the Briarwood agency. They jump started the careers of Lucille Ball and even Carol Burnett.
Amanda, my cousin, is the singer/ actor. While I am more the dancer. We made a good team. Since we are apart of the agency now, they are trying to jump start our careers.
"We are leaving for New York in a half hour."
"You’re kidding?"
"Nope. That’s when the driver will be here."
We smile at each other not knowing the amazing but incredibly sad times up ahead.
