Title: Every Girl Needs Romance
Characters: Camryn Matthews, Tori Gordon, Kevin Jonas, Joe Jonas, Shane Clearwater and Nick Jonas
Summary: Camryn is in a relationship that she isn’t happy with it lacks everything a relationship should. When her best friend Tori steps in and sets her up on a date with Camryn’s dream man will Camryn leave the relationship she’s in or will her fear of hurting Shane get in the way?

Chapter 1

“Tell me again Tori why this couldn’t wait till Shane comes back from Dallas or why we couldn’t have did this before he left this morning?”
I asked as I stand in my bathroom placing the lid back on my lip-gloss then throwing it into my purse. Tori pokes her head through the open door and says,
“Cause Joe just got back in town yesterday, plus I want you to meet him as soon as possible. And I can’t believe Camryn that after what that jerk did to you, your still going to stay with him.”
I look at Tori begging her to drop the subject she threw her hands in the air and walked back out into the hallway. Taking one more look at myself in the mirror I grabbed my purse and follow her.
“You have been dating him since October and here it is January and I’m just meeting him. The only thing you will tell me about this guy is that his name is Joe he’s eighteen and that he travels a lot. We’re going out tonight and I’m going to feel like the third wheel.”
Tori sat down on the sofa and I walked over and sat down next to her.
“He’s bringing someone so you won’t feel like the third wheel. Before they get here I want to talk to you, now I need you to promise me that you won’t freak out.”
Before I could answer the buzzer that is connected outside buzzed, Tori got up walked over and pressed the button.
“Hello.”
“Hey Tori baby it’s us.”
“Come on up.”
Tori hit the button that unlocks the front doors to the building then walked over and stood in front of me.
“Just promise me you won’t freak out?”
Why does she think I’m going to freak out? I nodded my head and Tori started pacing in front of the door making me laugh.
“Girl calm down before you burn a whole in the floor.”
She stuck her tongue out at me then there was s knock at the door. Tori turned around and opened the door and a male voice said,
“Tori god I’ve missed you.”
“Joe.”
Since I’m sitting on the sofa, which is facing the side of the room, where the door lands when you open it I couldn’t see who it was but the voice sounded familiar.
“Kevin nice to see you again.”
Tori said okay this is weird she’s dating a guy named Joe who knows someone named Kevin. Hold the phone nah it’s just a coincidence but wait we had concert tickets and backstage passes to a show on the ‘Best Of Both Worlds’ tour and I came down with a cold and was unable to go but I told Tori to go ahead and go without me. She meant this guy around that time. Nah like I said before just a coincidence.
“Come on in.”
Tori’s voice snapped me out of my trance and I look towards the door to see her come in with a bouquet of flowers (Click here to see flowers). But when I saw the guy walk in behind her it almost made me fall off the sofa. Holy crap it’s Joe Jonas and when I saw the guy walk in behind them my heart stopped. He bought his brother Kevin with him, oh my Jonas okay calm down girl take deep breaths. AHHH it’s Joe and Kevin Jonas! There now I’m cool. Tori closed the door then game me a thumbs up with her free hand I smiled at her and stood up. Tori walked over to stand next to Joe taking his hand in hers.
“Joe this is my best friend/roommate Camryn Matthews. Camryn this is my boyfriend Joe Jonas.”
I walked over extending my hand to him he took it a shook it.
“Nice to meet you Joe Tori has told me so much about you.”
“Same here it’s finally nice to meet you Camryn.”
Joe pulled his hand away and he said gesturing to Kevin,
“Camryn this is my brother Kevin but I guess you already know that.”
I moved over to Kevin and extended my hand to him.
“Camryn Matthews nice to meet you.”
He moved one of his hands from behind his back and shook my hand, while me shook hands our eyes never left each other. Finally Joe cleared his throat and nudged Kevin, who then from behind his back pulled out a bouquet of flowers (Click here to see flowers). Aww he bought me flowers.
“Thank you they’re beautiful.”
I said taking them from him.
“Your welcome what kind of gentlemen I am if I didn’t bring my date flowers.”
Hold the phone rewind the cute romantic one said what? Okay I really need to tell my little cousin Sarah to stop making me watch ‘Hannah Montana’ with her when I baby-sit her. I look over at Tori.
“Well um you wouldn’t be any kind of gentlemen at all would you Kevin? Camryn why don’t we go put these in some water, we’re be right back boys.”
Tori grabbed my hand leading us into the kitchen she went over and got two vases out of the cabinet. I walk over to stand next to her and whispered,
“Tori Ann Gordon what did you do?”
“What? I invited you and Kevin to dinner with Joe and me.”
“No you set us up on a blind date. What would process you to do that? You know I’m with Shane.”
“Well you shouldn’t be in my opinion. Shane isn’t right for you Cammie.”
Tori said making me sigh.
“We’ve been through this.”
“I know I know I’m twenty one years old I don’t need approval of who I date.”
Tori said in her best impression of me.
“You’re my best friend Cammie and I want what’s best for you and Shane isn’t. He acts more of a friend then your boyfriend. You need a guy who will act like your boyfriend, who will be a gentlemen and treat you like a women. Any girl should have boyfriend like that. You two have been dating for three years and how many times have you kissed?”
Better answer her.
“Two maybe three.”
“He doesn’t hold your hand, put his arm around you, hold you, you two don’t cuddle in fact you two sit on opposite sides of the sofa or room. He doesn’t kiss you and I know that you were taught to let the man make the moves and that’s why you don’t. That’s fine when you two are just getting to know each other but come on three years time to make a move girl.”
“What’s your point Tori?”
She turned around from placing water in two vases and walked over sitting them on the table. I walked over and began to place my flowers in the vase.
“My point is he acts more of a friend then your boyfriend and I know that makes you mad. You call him and always get voicemail and two out ten times he calls you back, I mean come on Camryn look at what he did this week that was uncalled for.  I set you up on this blind date with Kevin cause I know you two will like each other and to show you that there are better men out there for you then Shane.”
Is she right? The more I think about it the more my heart says just do it that Tori is right. But at the same time my head tells me not too.
“Does Kevin know about Shane and me?”
“It told Joe who agrees with me, he told Kevin who also agrees with me. I really think you should do this.”
I sighed then thought.
“Alright I’ll go.”
What do I have to lose? Its just one date. Tori smiled and I picked up my vase and we walked back into the living room sitting our vases on the coffee table.
“Ready guys?”
Tori said picking up her purse, Joe stood up grabbed Tori’s hand and they walked to the door. I grabbed my purse Kevin stood up walked over to me extending his arm; I looped my hand through his arm and followed Tori and Joe out of the apartment.

Chapter 2

When we got to the elevator like true gentlemen Joe and Kevin let Tori and me in first.  We rode the elevator down to the lobby the whole way down Tori and Joe practically had their tongues down each other’s throats. I rolled my eyes and chuckled but when I did out of the corner of my eye I saw Kevin do the same. I look over at him then he makes a gagging face making me laugh, he then leaned over towards me man he smells good.
‘You’re beautiful tonight.”
I blushed man it’s been a while since I heard a guy say that to me. I’m glad I talked Tori into making wear this outfit she was all you have to wear the hottest outfit (Click to see outfit) you have I should have known something was up then.
‘Thanks you, you look not to shabby yourself.”
And indeed he did in a pair of jeans, red dress shirt under a gray vest and dress shoes, classic Kevin wear. When the elevator stopped and the doors opened we walked out and that’s when I remember that I had forgotten my jacket (Click here to see jacket).
“Shiznits I forgot my jacket can you guys wait here for a minute?”
I said stopping everyone.
“No worries Cam got it right here thought you might forget it.”
For the first time I noticed Tori holding my jacket she handed it to me and I thanked her. We walked out to a car whether it’s Kevin or Joe’s I don’t know, Tori turned around and stopped us.
“Wait photo op.”
She handed me her camera and her and Joe stood by the car, I snapped the picture then handed the camera back to Tori.
“Your turn.”
Tori said grabbing my hand then Kevin’s walking us to stand where her and Joe stood moments ago. Kevin stood next to me wrapping his arm around my waist placing his hand on my hip pulling me against him. I wrapped my arm around his waist and mentally smiled god I’m a goof.
“Cheese.”
Tori said she napped the picture and when Kevin pulled away I missed the small contact between us. Joe opened the passenger side door for Tori who jumped in I look over to see Kevin opening the back door for me.
“Your chariot awaits malady.”
Kevin said bowing I laughed and got in once Kevin was in and we all strapped our seatbelts on we drove off. As we drove off in my head I started to name off the things that Kevin has done in the last ten maybe fifteen minutes that Shane hasn’t in our three-year relationship. One: Gave me flowers; Two: Told me I was beautiful; Three: Place his arm around me; and Four: Opening doors for me. Dang that’s four things already.
“Cam, c to the a to the m you with us.”
At the sound of Tori’s voice I snapped out of it and looked to see Tori half turned in her seat up front looking at me.
“Huh um huh sorry.”
I said.
“We’re going to go see a movie then dinner.”
I nodded we drove to we got to the movie theater and when we pulled up my phone rang.
Everyone knows it's meant to be, falling in love, just you and me, til the end of time, til I'm on her mind, it'll happen, I've been making lots of plans
I blushed and looked at the caller ID before I answered it, to say when I saw Shane’s name flashing on the screen was a shocker was an understatement. Yeah sure now call, I hit the ignore button then climbed out of the car when Kevin opened it.
“Okay so what are we seeing?”
Kevin asked.
‘I want to see a comedy.”
I said.
“Man I wanted to see a Horror I’m in the mood to get the pants scared off of me.”
Tori said Joe walked up behind her and wrapped his arms around her.
“I’m in for a Horror.”
Joe said and Kevin laughed making Joe glare at him, Kevin whispered to me,
“He scares easily he’s only agreeing to a Horror because of Tori.”
I laughed and Joe and Tori looked at me I covered my mouth.
“Okay who wants a Comedy?”
Joe asked and Kevin and I raised our hands.
“Horror.”
Tori said and her and Joe raised their hands.
“Okay since we’re tied lets flip for it.”
Kevin said taking a quarter from his wallet. Kevin and me called tales and Joe and Tori called heads, when Kevin flipped it and caught it, it landed on heads.
“Ha yes boo yeah.’
Joe said and him and Tori began to do a dance.
“Okay you two clowns that enough god I thought Joe was embarrassing when we take him out.”
Kevin said which made me laugh.
“Oh you haven’t seen what embarrassing stuff Tori can do out in public.”
I said.
“Good god tonight should be interesting.”
Kevin said then we both laughed, Kevin and Joe walked off to go get the tickets and I walked over to Tori and said,
“You did that on purpose.’
“So.”
Tori sad.
“So you know I don’t like Horror movies. I’ll be holding onto the arm rests of my seat through the whole thing.”
“No your being holding onto Kevin through out the whole thing. That’s the point.”
“I’ll feel uncomfortable.”
“Trust me okay.”
Tori said then walking off, once the boys got the tickets we went in and found the theater the movie was being shown in. We took our seats with Joe on the end with Tori next to him on his right with me next to her with Kevin next to me on my right. We settled into watching the movie once it started, it didn’t take long for scary parts to come up causing me to jump and grab a hold of the armrest of my seat. During this one per tickler scary part I jumped up from my seat a little bit and yelped, I feel an arm go around my shoulders and a thumb rubbing my shoulder. I look over at Kevin who looks at me from the corner of his eye and winks, I smile and settle into his embarrass. A few minutes later Kevin whispered to me,
“I’m going out to the concession stand to get something to drink. You want anything?”
“Just something to drink I’ll come with you.”
I whispered to Tori that we were going to the concession stand and her and Joe said they were fine that they didn’t need anything. Kevin and I got up and left the theater going out to the lobby.

Chapter 4

The next morning I woke up with the biggest smile on my face when I spotted the vase of flowers and remembered where they came from. Getting up walking over to my window and opening the curtains I stretched, I could smell pancakes, breakfast sausages and coffee. Throwing my robe (Click here to see robe) on I left my room walked down the hall then into the kitchen where Tori was placing pancakes on a plate.
“Good morning.”
She said to me when she turned and saw me, I walked over grabbed my mug (Click here to see mug) and poured myself a cup of coffee.
“Good morning.”
I said back.
“Sleep well? And dreams filled of you and Kevin making out I hope.”
I laughed and took the plate of food Tori handed me.
“I slept like a baby.”
I walked over and sat down at the table where moments later Tori joined me.
“Shane called.”
Tori said he’s never this persistent to talk to me.
“I told him you were still asleep he said for you to call him.”
“I will.”
I said then took a bite of my food, Tori and me talked about last night. I placed my plate in the sink then leaned back against it and asked,
“We still on for movie/game night, tonight?”
“Yep.”
Tori replied and an idea hit me and I went into the living room picking up a piece of paper and dialing the number on it. Tori walked in and sat on the sofa facing me.
“Good morning Camryn.”
At the sound of his voice I smiled and could swear my heart skipped a beat. I love how he says my name, how did he know it was me?
“Good morning Kevin, how did you know it was me?”
“You called my cell in which I programmed you number in as soon as I got home last night.”
Aww he programmed me in his phone right away aww.
“I hope I didn’t wake you.”
“Nah just got out of the shower, so what do I owe the pleasure of this phone call?”
Images of Kevin sitting on the end of his bed in nothing but a towel around his waist talking on the phone popped in my head and I can feel a blush crept up my neck and into my cheeks.
“I uh wanted to ask you if you and Joe have any plans for tonight?”
“Nope, none, zip, zeta, zilch.”
I laughed.
“Good cause I wanted to invite you and Joe to me and Tori’s movie/game night, tonight.”
Tori’s face light up.
“Yeah sure we’d love too.”
I smiled and gave Tori thumbs up who mouthed yes making me laugh.
“Great be here at seven and feel free to bring Nick along with you.”
I said.
“He has a date tonight actually, is there anything you need us to bring?”
“Well since I don’t know what you guys like to drink or snack on just bring what you like.”
“Ten four see you tonight.”
“Can’t wait.”
I hung up the phone and Tori said,
“You go girl for asking them over, ten points to you girl.”
We high fived each other, at six fifty-five that night Tori and me placed our snacks and drinks on the coffee table, we sat down till the buzzer went off, Tori let them up and soon there was a knock at the door. I got up and answered it Kevin and Joe stood on the other side.
“Joe.”
Tori yelled from behind me Joe ran past me and ran to Tori picking her up and spinning her around.
“You think he would have acted like that last night.”
Kevin said leaning forward and kissing my cheek.
“These are for you.”
He handed me a bouquet of flowers (Click here to see flowers) I took them from him.
“Thanks Kevin their beautiful.”
I bought him into a hug, when we pulled apart we walked in.
“You two can get settled we’re going to go put these in some water.
I said, Tori and me went into the kitchen placed our flowers (To see Tori's flower click here) in vases filled with water, we walked back into the living room where Joe asked,
“So what are we watching?”
“We have a variety of movies to choose from.”
Tori said going over to the corner and opening the cabinet that we keep our DVD’s in, we choose ‘Liar, Liar’. I just sat down next to Kevin when the phone rang, me being the closest to the phone picked it up, seeing Shane’s cell number I knew I had to answer it if not he might keep calling.
“Excuse me I have to answer this.”
I walked into the kitchen and answered the phone.
“Hello.”
“Camryn why haven’t you been answering my calls or text messages?”
I rolled my eyes.
“I’m good Shane thanks for asking you?”
I said in a sarcastic voice.
“I have been calling and texting you since last night.”
“I’ve been busy.”
“Not to busy to call my Mother and ask her if I got in Dallas okay.”
Is he joking?
“Well excuse me for being concerned about you and if you would have called right away when you landed like I told you too in the voicemail I left you I wouldn’t have had to call your Mother. And another thing you had time to post on your Myspace that you were going away to Dallas for a month but you couldn’t take two minutes to call me your girlfriend and tell me.”
Wow where did that come from? I thought I was going to be cool calm and collective.
“Camryn I had just found out that work needed me to go Thursday night I was too busy packing and everything I forgot. What has your butt in a knot? If anyone should be mad it should be me because you didn’t call me back.”
That really sent my blood boiling.
“Oh so it’s okay for you not to call me back but if I don’t call you back your ready to crucify me for it. Aren’t you calling the kettle black.”
“What I always call you back.”
I had to laugh.
“What planet are you living on buddy? You call me back two out of tens times.”
I look up at a gentle knock on the wall to see Tori poking her head in the kitchen, she mouths the words everything okay, I decided to lie so I nodded that I was okay and Tori walked away.
“Look Camryn I don’t feel like putting up with your dramatics right now.”
Oh no he didn’t.
“What!”
I yelled then shut my mouth knowing that Tori and the boys heard that in fact they’ve probably heard everything I’ve said.
“My dramatics you’re the one that called all peed off.”
I said feeling like I need to throw something.
“Whatever bye.”
Shane said then the line went dead. What in the name of tar nation was that? I know this jerk did not just hang up on me. This is the first fight Shane and me have gotten into and I didn’t expect when it started to feel this bad afterwards. I stare down at the phone in my hand tears coming to my eyes.
“Everything okay Cam?”
I look up and over at the sound of Kevin’s voice, a smile spreading across my face at the sight of him. I take a deep breath and walked over to him.
“Now that I see you yeah.”
Crap, sweet hot potatoes why did I just say that? Again I feel a blush raising my neck to my cheeks.
“I mean uh I just uh.”
I’m making a fool out of myself. Kevin laughed well I’m glad I amuse him.
“It’s okay glad I could make you smile. You sounded really made and looked upset when I came in.”
Great now he probably feels sorry for the girl who just got into her first fight with her boyfriend.
“Nothing a hug couldn’t fix.”
I said quoting Lily from the Hannah Montana episode Kevin, Joe and Nick were on. Kevin laughed and pulled me into a hug I wrapped my arms around his stomach squeezing him tight. It feels so good and right to be in his arms and man he smells good. Tears coming to my eyes at the realization that Shane has never hugged me like this.
“Everything ok.”
Tori’s voice broke Kevin and me apart turning to look at her.
“Sorry to interrupted just wondering when we’re going to start this movie.”
Kevin and I laughed following Tori out to the living room where we sat down on the sofa.

I love it. More please? I really really dont like shane he reminds me of my horrible ex.
