The walk down the aisle was a long and nerve-racking adventure, well at least it felt that way to Kayla. She tried hard not to trip over her dress or the flower pedals that had just been thrown by the flower girl before her.
He was staring at her. He looked like he was observing her, like if she was a animal in wildlife. She looked to her side Johnny sat in the pews giving her a smile and thumbs up. Thanks she mouthed to him as she walked. Their walk soon ended and Kayla and Jordan tooked their spots next to the reverend and braidsmaids. The ceremony soon started as Jordan passed her the bouquet to hold.
It was Kayla's favorite arrangement of flowers, pink Carnations, daffodils, and tulips with a hint of lilac. She had told Jordan to pick these for the wedding. Not telling her exactly why she liked them so much.
[Flash Back]
"It's time you went back now" Mary, Kayla's mom said.
"I don't want to leave you" she said looking at her mom as they sat in the most beautiful garden she could ever imagine, it contained all of her mom's favorite flowers.
"You have to go back, Johnny misses you I can sense it" her mom replied
"I finally got you back I can't lose you again" she said hugging her tightly.
"I will always be with you" mary replied hugging her back. "and you have people that love you back there including a very special boy" her mom said.
"mom please" Kayla exclaimed hugging her even tighter.
"It's time" her mom said she could fell herself being pulled away. "I love you" her mom said as she faded away.
"I love you too" Kayla said as she woke up.
"uh ahh" Kayla let out there was a plastic tube stuck down her throat, she could hardly breath.
Two nurses came rushing into the room. One took her arm and began checking her vitals while the other took out the tube, finally letting her breath.
"How are you feeling" one asked
"fine" Kayla replied dazed looking around the room. Nobody was there but it was painted colorfully with flowers, cards and presents left by friends and family.
She looked to the side of the bed on a stand where a picture of her, Joe, Kevin and Jordan sat on the couch of the tourbus cuddling. Everybody looked so happy, they had just started laughing at a stupid joke Joe had made when Nick had snapped the picture.
"Welcome to 2008!" the other nurse called out.
"What?" Kayla let out looking out the window. It was nice and sunny. The last time she remembered looking out the window of the tourbus it was winter.
"Sweetheart you've been in a coma for 6 months, for a while we didn't think you would make it..." the nurse explained, the expression on Kayla's face had dissappeared. She didn't know what to say.
[End of Flashback]
As the ceremony went on she tried to concentrate on the wedding as best she could.
"May we please have the rings?" the reverend asked as Jordan and Kevin turned toward Kayla and Joe seeing as they were the best man and maid of honor. Kayla and Jordan looked at each other and giggled with excitement getting laughter from the guests at the wedding.
"I love you" Jordan and Kevin whispered smiling as they turned around and the reverend continued talking.
"Those stinkin Love birds" Kayla thought to herself with a smile. She could feel that she was being watched.
