Did you ever push away the ones you should hold close? Did you ever let go? Did you ever not know?

“Kevin,” I called after him. Kevin stopped walking and turned around.
“Hey,” he said as I caught up to him.
“Hey yourself,” I said. “Where are you going?” I asked.
“I left my cell phone in my trailer,” he said. “You?”
“Oh, me too,” I said. He looked down at the large lump in my jean pocket, where my cell phone actually was. “Okay so maybe I just needed to talk to you,” I said.
“About…” Kevin said.
“Last night,” I said. “Look I’m sorry about all of the crying and stuff.”
“Yea, I didn’t mean to make you so… emotional,” Kevin said with a smile.
“Hey,” I said fake punching him. “It was just that I care about you so much,” I lowered my voice to say, “Maybe too much” just quiet enough so Kevin wouldn’t hear me.
“I care about you too.” Kevin said. We had made it to the trailers and both stopped in front of Kevin’s.
“Okay I just need to go grab a jacket,” I said and then walked over to my trailer. But I wasn’t the only one in it. Sitting on the couch was Jake. And trust me, I wasn’t dreaming, this was real.
“Jake, what are you doing here?” I said trying to act cool. “I thought you were up by the set,”
“I was, but then I thought we needed to have a little… talk.” he said. He remained sitting and was acting cool. “So I have noticed you around Kevin a lot more. The tabloids say you guys are together.”
“You know that those are just lies,” I said reaching into my fridge and grabbing a Vitamin water.
“I’m just making sure that you didn’t tell him our little secret,”
“I wouldn’t dream of it,” I said.
“Good, because if you did,”
Just then Kevin came into my trailer saying, “Haley, what’s taking so lon-.” but then he stopped mid sentence.
“Kevin, Jake was just leaving,” I said turning to Jake.
Jake got up and said, “Nice talking to you Haley,” and then gave Kevin a small smirk.
Once Jake was out of the trailer Kevin turned to me. “What the hell was that?!?”
“Nothing,” I said, but I was a bit spaced out. “Let’s just get back to the set”
Kevin grabbed my arm. “Haley I’m serious,” he said. “Did he do anything?”
“No,” I said plainly. “Now can we get back to the set?”
“Sure” Kevin said and then we walked over to the cameras, Joe and Nick.
“Hey babe,” Joe said putting his arm around me.
“Haley we have to go shoot a scene in like 5 minutes,” Nick said. “You should go get your next outfit from wardrobe.”
“Okay,” I said. Joe kissed me on the cheek and I whispered goodbye to him. Then I walked to the “Wardrobe” trailer.
“So you guys are really back together?” Nick asked.
“Yea,” Joe said smiling brightly. “I think that is all going to be okay. I mean we are both really happy,”
Kevin got mad at his brothers bliss. Joe’s girlfriend was suffering terribly as she was forced to work with the guy who had just raped her a few days ago, and Joe thought everything was okay. Kevin tried to shake it off and muttered under his breath, “Yea, Haley seems like the happiest person on earth” in a sarcastic tone.
“What?” Joe asked. He had heard exactly what Kevin said, even though that was not Kevin’s intention.
“Nothing,” Kevin said, and then tried to walk away, but was stopped by Joe blocking his way.
“Dude what are you talking about? Haley is perfectly fine. I thought that you got over this jealousy thing,”
Joe’s “jealousy” comment made Kevin fill up with anger, making him say something he instantly regretted. “Haley’s lying to you!”
“What?” Joe said defensively.
“Never mind,” Kevin said, looking down at his feet.
“No Kevin,” Joe said. “Say what you have to say,”
Kevin took a deep breath. He knew Joe wasn’t going to drop it. And after all, Joe was his brother, and he deserved to know the truth. “Did you ever stop to ask Haley who it was that raped her?”
