Love on the Lifts
Chapter 1
----------------------------
"A tottaly hot ski instructor," Leah suddenly announced excitedly. "That's what you need to take your mind completely off Joe."
"How can a ski instructor be hot?" I asked. "His classroom is a snow-covered hill. He's gotta be cold." Allie rolled hew eyes and Leah gave me a sharp look that said she was seriously contemplating throwing the snow that she just scooped up at me.
"That is so lame, Kate."
Okay, so it was lame, but I was also extremely cold, with visions of curling up in front of a roaring fire dancing through my head. And obviously, the chill seeping through the knitted cap I'd pulled down over my ears was causing periodic brain freezes. Even stuffing my shoulder-length , obnoxiously natrualy curly brown hair under the cap didn't seem to provide any extra insulation against the fridgid air that surrounded us. And it was unbelievably cold . After all, we were in a ski resort town with white peaked mountains all around us.
Leah, Allie, and I had flown in earlier that afternoon. My aunt had met us at the airportand driven us to Snow Angel Valley where she'd made arrangements for us to stay in a condo ourselves. It was tottaly awesome. Three bedrooms, a sunken living room, a red-wood deck. Bu more importantly, it was ours for gthe duration of our visit. Just ours. No parents, no chaperones. We were totally on our own, with the freedom to do exactly what we wanted. But, Aunt Sue didn't tell us that we were going to have visitors, or actually guests to be staying at the condo. Kevin, Nick, and....Joe. The hunky how one. I fell for him as soon I layed eyes on him. They were too kind to kick us out of the condo so, we're sharing bedrooms. And did I mention their in a band? Yeah.... the Jonas Brothers. Never heard of them. must be popular as I thought.
Once we'd all settle into our respective bedrooms, I get the king bed. Kevin in with Joe in the second bedroom which had bunks. Leah with Allie whici also had bunks in the third room. And Nick on the couch. Thats not that bad. I get to keep the king size bed. Once again, As we settled ino our bedrooms, Allie announced that she wanted to build a snowman. But now that we were actually doing it, the activity seemed lame as my joke. I mean, I was a freshmen in High school, Leah was a junior in High School, and Allie was a senior in high school. And a snowman is what you really cared about if your two years old - or if you've never been around snow.
That is not the ending of chapter one. This is also not my story. I'm remaking it from some random ppl into the jobros. Its a book called Love on the Lifts by Rachel Hawthrone. I love that book! neways gnight! more 2morow.
