Sorry about my first attempt at this story. It sucked and I know it. Here is a much better version in my opinion. I hope you like it! The boys will be introduced in either the next chapter or the following (I haven't decided how to break up the chapters yet). And I chose parts:
Kevin's love interest: Heather
Nick's love interest: Tess
Best friend: Julia
And finally, enjoy!

♥ Move On ♥
Dear Max,
I’m sorry things didn’t work out better. I hope this CD explains how I feel. Let’s keep in touch, okay?
Sincerely,
Ava Tanella
I scribbled the name of the songs onto the CD in my loopy cursive handwriting: Better That We Break-Maroon 5, Goodnight & Goodbye-Jonas Brothers, Gone-Kelly Clarkson, Let It Die-Feist, It Ain’t Me Babe-Johnny Cash, Move On-Jonas Brothers. Subtelty has never been my specialty. I neatly folded the stationary and placed it in the envelope with the CD. Only 20 minutes until rehearsal, I hurriedly licked the envelope and placed the stamp. I grabbed my bag and ran out of the house.
The warm breath from my sigh fogged up my glasses as I waited for my car to warm up against the early December weather. I wrote a note to myself to buy more stamps. The last sheet lasted just four months.
There wasn’t a distinct reason why I chose letters when I sent the CD to my first “boyfriend.” I suppose it’s better than an IM or text, yet it’s worse than on the phone or in person. I’m not a confrontational person. Emotions are messy. Especially with Max.
I’m hesitant to use the word boyfriend because I’ve never been in a real relationship. It’s not like I’m using boys or getting around. It’s just that it’s never worked. I’m picky, but I’m willing to give every boy a chance. Despite all of these failures, I refuse to give up on love.
After a wipe of the windshield wipers the snowy mush cleared off and my little Oldsmobile Achieva was ready to go. Still not completely ready, I put my hair up in a bun and exchanged my glasses for contacts at stoplights. My clock read 6:56 as I pulled into the theater’s parking lot.
Not wanting to upset Madame for not being ready, I undressed as I run to the practice room for announcements.
“Ava, keep your clothes on!” Brandon yelled when I passed by his locker.
“Shut up Bran! You’re going to be late too if you don’t hurry up!”
I opted to skip my dressing room and decided to throw my belongings in a corner instead. I turned the corner to see everyone still chatting and joking around. Thank God. But I arrived with just moments to spare; Madame arrived just seconds after me, with Brandon sneaking in behind her.
“Okay everyone gather round! Today is our first run through. If you are not on stage please be backstage and stay loose. Pay attention to where we are. I do not want to be waiting on you. There is going to be a concert in the main theater tonight so we do not have time to take this lightly. We will go until the band gets here. Once they arrive we will distribute costumes. Any questions? No? Then tableau un commence!”
Please let me know what you think!
