Chapter 2

The doors closed behind Tina and the bus shifted into gear. She was greeted by Nick and Kevin and they told her that they were excited that she would finally be joining them on tour.

“Joe has been so happy ever since the show” Kevin whispered to her. “Thank you”

She just flashed a smile, unsure of what she should say. Your welcome seemed a little odd, so she just said nothing at all.

“Follow me, there are some people I want you to meet” he voiced over the loud commotion coming from the back of the bus.

He reached for her hand and pulled her to the back. Opening the door to the lounge area she was face to face with two other girls. She glanced over and was greeted by a girl who quickly jumped to her feet.

“Hi! I`m Erica” she said with a pleasant smile.

“Hey” Tina muttered back as she shook her hand.

Erica had a glowing natural beauty to her. She had gorgeous hazel eyes and was around Tina`s height. Tina could see the flirty twinkle in her eye and flashed her a weak smile. She wasn`t sure who she was or why she was there, but thought it was best to be as polite as she could be. Tina usually put on a front when meeting new people, but something about Drake`s text earlier had sent shivers through her body and she was glancing over her shoulder every five seconds to make sure she was okay. Everyone could tell she was feeling uneasy.

“I`m Kevin`s girlfriend” she told her bringing Tina`s attention back to the girl in front of her.  “And this is Niki” she said pointing over at the other girl on the couch.

Niki began to rise from her spot but Tina walked over to her instead.

“No, no, don`t get up!” she said, feeling a little better knowing that she was safe with all the people around her.

Niki was a pretty girl with a strong athletic build. You could tell that she had obviously been playing some type of sport for many years. She had a firm, strong handshake that made Tina feel weak. She too had hazel eyes similar to Erica, and her dark brown chocolate hair was a reminder to the look Tina had just before she dyed it.

“Niki has been our family friend since Joe and her were babies” Nick told her. “She has been coming on tour with us forever, just to keep us grounded”

Tina smiled and proceeded to walk over to Joe,

“Hey, i`m really tired actually” she whispered to him, not wanting to spoil the fun the others were having.

“Oh okay you can crash on my bunk” he said as he lead her over  to the beds.

Thankfully she had already changed into some comfortable clothes when she and Rebecca made it back to her house, so she continued to hop up into his bunk. Just as she pulled the covers over her head, forgetting that her cell was in her pocket, it had gone off, stopping her from getting the rest she needed.

She opened it to find another text message.

Drake: Where R U?

lol, so that was really just a filler and to introduce those 2 AWESOME girls;; i may just update as i type up chapters.. and Drake is her ex, he was semi-mentioned in Carolina on my Mind, but plays a big part in this story..

dudde;; you do not look like a beastly girl, my brother and my mom were yapping at me while i was typing.. i actually didnt re-read over the chapter before i posted it, but i did and changed a few little things. including that paragraph bc i realized some of the words made no sense haha. my baddd! anyway i`m working on chapter 3 now and then i`ll probably take a break, ive been typing too much.

my mom keeps wanting me to read her my story that im writing bc i told her thats why ive been on the computer, they keep jumping on my case for being on here. but my mom thinks im crazy for liking the boys as much as i do so i wont let her read it bc she will just flip haha.

but thanks to my nosey brother, he caught the line "im kevins girlfriend" and read it out loud and my mom and dad were like SERIOUSLY. yeahh.. anyway;;

okay, i finally got to what the story is about, but im not sure i attacked it the right way, hopefully it sounds right to you guys. let me know?

Chapter 3

Tina quickly deleted the message and drifted off into a heavy sleep. She woke up the next day to the sounds of guitar hero in the background.  The boys must have turned the volume up way too high, forgetting anybody else was there.

“Dude, you just got poned” Kevin shouted out over the noise.

“Whatever” Joe said as he set down his guitar and began to walk towards the bunks. “Hey you`re finally up” he smiled when seeing Tina shift around before finally forcing herself to sit up.

Joe told Tina that they had a sound check in a few hours and they could hang out until then.  Those hours passed by quickly and everyone piled off of the bus and into the venue that they boys were performing at later that night. Tina stayed in the back with Erica and Niki chatting up about their likes and dislikes, laughing about stories that they shared about the boys, and Tina realized she had a lot more in common with the girls than she had thought. Once again Tina had felt a buzz in her back jean pocket. She was terrified to take it out but decided to anyway.

Drake: Plz Call me.

Tina felt sorry for Drake but knew that she couldn`t get in contact with him, for her safety. Suddenly everything went black and Tina found herself reminiscing on a time before.

--*Flashback*--

“Drake, seriously don`t do this again” Tina pleaded.

“How many times do I have to tell you not to call other guys?” he demanded as his face grew red.

Drake and Tina had been dating for close to a year. He was the complete opposite of Joe, and Tina had hoped that the drastic difference was something she may have needed to get over her lost soul. Drake`s hair was a dirty blonde, and he had kind eyes, or so she thought. Their relationship started off like a dream come true, a real prince charming, until he startled to settle into his real skin and show his true colors.

“Drake, I called to get homework pages! Are you kidding me?” she said scared for her life.

“Kidding? Does this relationship mean anything to you?” he screamed at her, inches away from her face.

Tina wanted to cry realizing what was going to happen next. Before she could manage to squeeze a tear out Drake had pushed her onto the ground.

“Drake!” she screamed filled with terror.

The tears began to pour as he leaned down and slapped her across the face.

“If you want this to work, you need to listen to me.” He yelled as he smacked her again.

Tina couldn`t muster any words and just continued to cry. Her face was stinging from the powerful slaps Drake had placed upon her delicate skin.

“Are you going to say something?” he questioned with rage.

Tina still couldn`t find any words but instead stuttered things that made no sense. Drake picked her up forcefully and threw her against the wall.

“You need to learn” he said calming down as he walked out the door.

Tina sat on the floor huddled in the corner and cried. Where was Joe when she needed him?  How could he leave her here like this? She had been going through this for half of the past year, and began growing accustomed to it. She continued to cry until her energy was drained and quickly fell asleep, like she did most days.

--*End Flashback*--

Tina quickly came to when she felt the poking and shaking from the girls, she had been crying the whole time and nobody knew what was going on or what to do.

“Uh Tina, what happened?” Erica asked her.

Erica and Niki were genuinely worried about her but didn`t want to overstep their boundaries because Tina was pretty new to them.

“I.. I don`t know” was all she could get out of her mouth.

Like she had done for so long, he decided not to tell them. It wasn`t their business afterall, and besides, they couldn`t help her anyway. It was a subject from the past, and this was the first time she had ever blacked out, hopefully it was the last.

sooo, let me know what you think.. honestly.. bc i wanted to take it there, but i wasnt sure if it came out okay =) i`m going to go guitar hero with my lil bro for a bit to take a break, i dont plan on going out anymore cus im kind of not in the mood, but who knows that could change. if i dont then i`ll try and write another chapter tonight. if not, no worries, i`m off of work tomorrow so i have plenty of time =) all i have to do is go find job numero dos. which shouldnt take me long, just drive around and find some applications. comments, questions, concerns? lol
