Man, I totally forgot about this ;X FORGIVE MEEE XD
Loes’ POV
I sat across of Nick who was pacing around – he still seemed a little overwhelmed. “So, aren’t you in danger a lot?” Nick asked, he sounded genuinely concerned.
“Depends really, how dangerous the mission is.” I replied with an apologetic smile, he seemed more than genuinely concerned actually, I just couldn’t put my finger on it.
“So, Sarah has like super-strength she can teleport and .. read minds right? And make stuff appear?” He asked curiously.
“Yes, that is correct.” I clarified as Nick nodded, I met his deep dark brown eyes feeling captivated in his slight moment.
“So.. what about you? How do you defend yourself?” Nick asked as he sat down on the coffee table, right across from the couch I was sitting on.
“Well.. I can .. fly.” I said as I slightly floated up in the air, I then grabbed a little knife that lay on the table, Nick’s eyes widened. “What are you doing!” He said gasping as he grabbed my hand, whilst I made a cut in my arm. “No Nick, it’s okay. Look.” I said quietly as before his very eyes the wound healed. “It hurts, but well .. it heals eventually.” I spoke as Nick was surprised. “So that’s how you survived in the hospital?” He asked as I nodded.
“Wow..” Was all he could say as he ran his hands through his curly hair, he looked really adorable all overwhelmed and concerned – Okay snap out of it, he’s the one you’re supposed to be protecting, not clouding your judgement and .. all that other stuff that it said in the handbook.
“Yeah well, I know it’s kinda crazy but I’m here to make sure nothing happens to you. Alright?” I assured Nick as he looked up at me and nodded silently.
I was so curious to what was going on in his mind right now, what I wouldn’t do for Sarah’s power just about now, man.
He looked up at me and suddenly I felt a strange feeling, as we kept eyecontact I could feel a rush, of emotions and something elusive, indefinable.
“She knocks me off my feet, can’t help myself I don’t want anyone else. She’s a mystery, she’s too much for me, but I keep coming back for more – she’s just the girl I’m looking for.” I listened to those words echo in her mind as if it were Nick speaking out loud.
“What did you say?” I asked confused as I shook my head.
Nick furrowed an eyebrow. “I didn’t say anything, Loes.” Nick replied quietly looking bewildered.
“So you didn’t just sing ..” I paused, realizing how absolutely absurd this sounded. “She knocks me off my feet, can’t help myself I don’t want anyone else?” I lightly sang as Nick’s cheeks flushed a light shade of pink. “Uh no.” Nick denied quietly, still blushing.
I raised an eyebrow. “Okay, then that was weird.” I mumbled as Nick looked up with a foolish grin suddenly plastered on his face.
“I didn’t sing it, I just thought it.” Nick said quietly.
Huh?! How was that possible, I can’t read minds. That’s Sarah’s thing, I mean.. I haven’t ever been able to read a mind! “Are you sure? Okay, just a second.” I said as I held up my finger and flew up the stairs, peering around the corner to see if anyone saw me.
BINGO! Frankie! I smiled as I kneeled down by him. “Hey Loes.” Frankie said in a cheerful voice as he waved frantically.
“Hey Frankie.” I countered trying to read his mind, nothing, zero, zilch, el-zippo.
“Okay, I gotta go now.” I interjected before Frankie could say anything, popping my head around the corner finding Kevin watching TV, still nothing. I rapidly flew back down to where Nick was and landed in front of him.
“She’s so pretty when she flies.” I heard his voice echo in my head, I felt confused – why could I hear Nick’s thoughts and no one else’s?
“Okay Nick, this is strange but .. I can hear your thoughts.. but no one else’s.” I ranted, I was really confused, what was going on here?
