Together Forever
Love Goes Out
Out like A Light
Out Like A Flame
And You Can’t Find
It Anymore
Just When You Think
Its Lost In The Rain
It Comes Back Knocking At Your Door
It’s the Wheel Of The World
Turning Around
And Around
The brown haired, blue-eyed girl sat on the hard plastic chair, in her beautiful sparkling blue dress, with a frown on her face. Everyone was looking at her, why didn’t she get up and dance, What’s wrong with her.
The thing that was wrong with her was that she didn’t have a date, not even a little computer geek, for the Senior Prom.
She sat there, trying not to listen to the conversations of the other people, they were having a great time, yet she just sat there avoiding stares. She was supposed to have a date, yet the person dumped her five hours before the prom, leaving one broken-hearted, young girl without a date.
The girl stood up, and walked over to the punch bowl, with a tired smile on her face, and her blue gown trailing behind her.
“So, why don’t you have a date?” Some random girl asked the girl, her name was Nickolette.
“I…I just wanted to come on my own,” Nickolette said in a small voice, her cheeks red with embarrassment.
“No, its ok if you don’t have a date, I mean I don’t either, isn’t it a coincidence.” The girls green eyes shined over as she told Nickolette her story.
“Well, to tell you the truth, my boyfriend dumped me right before coming here,” Nickolette said, on the verge of tears.
“Oh, mine did too, nice to meet you, I’m Amber, but I have to be going back to my friends, you want to come,” Amber pointed over to a small group of people, who looked like they were enjoying the event.
“Sure, that sounds fun,” Nickolette said with a small smile, and then walked over with Amber.
“So, everyone this is Nickolette, Nickolette this is Kevin, Joe, Nick, and Rachel,” Amber said, smiling, while pointing each person out.
Kevin had cute, curly hair, paired with an adorable laugh, and a awesome smile, was adorable. Joe had hair almost reached his shoulders, and a perfectly asymmetrical face, and cracked a joke about every five seconds. Nick was the quietest out of all of them, which intrigued Nickolette, yet he was the most thoughtful, and patient, he just sat on his chair and observed all the things going on around him.
Nickolette sat down with them at their table, and pretty soon, we were all getting along really well. Kevin and Rachel went off to dance, and so did Amber and Joe, which left Nick and Nickolette.
“So, where’s your date?” Nick asked with a curious voice.
“Well, if you really want to know, he dumped me five hours before the prom,” Nickolette uttered with a small sigh, while twisting her red rose corsage around her wrist.
“Oh, sorry, I didn’t mean to make you feel bad or anything,” Nick said, and then looked Nickolette in the eyes, trying to calm her down.
“Oh, its nothing, just means that I don’t get to really enjoy the prom, you know, just observe, and why don’t you have a date?” Nickolette questioned, and then took a sip of her punch.
“To tell you the truth, I never found one to begin with, I just couldn’t find the right girl,” Nick said with a nervous smile.
“That’s sweet, maybe you’ll find your dream girl tonight,” Nickolette said with a small laugh.
“Maybe…,” Nick said, and then, he looked at all the lucky couples dancing on the dance floor, Kevin had his arms wrapped around Rachel and she seemed to enjoy it. Amber and Joe were laughing, no doubt, to something Joe said, yet it all seemed romantic.
It’s the Wheel of the World
Turning Around And Around
God Put Us Here
This Carnival Ride
We Close Our Eyes
Never Know When Or Where It Will Take Us Next
Babies Are Born
And At The Same Time
Someone’s Taking Their Last Breath
It’s the Wheel of The World
Nickolette and Nick talked about so many things, they couldn’t keep track of it all. Their conversation ranged from childhood experiences, to many times of heartbreak, to their favorite poptarts (a/n Sarah Lorraine I put that in there for you).
Kevin, Rachel, Joe, and Amber had got back from their dancing experience, and now they were daring Joe to lick Kevin’s feet, which of course he would do.
Nick and Nickolette blocked out other conversations, and really got to know each other, until before they knew it, it was time for the last dance.
“Hey, uh, Nickolette, do you want to dance, since it’s the last dance and all, and since we have both haven’t danced at all last night?” Nick said, his face turning redder by the moment.
“Sure,” Nickolette face broke out into a grin, and Nick pulled her up out of her chair, and led her to the dance floor.
“Wow, this dance actually wasn’t that bad,” Nick said as he wrapped his arms around Nickolette’s waist.
“I know, it was bad…. Until I started talking to you,” Nickolette turned her face away, since it was turning a bright cherry color.
“Same here,” Nick said, and brought Nickolette close to him as they started to sway back and forth.
There’s A Song That’s Inside of my Soul
It’s the One That I’ve tried to Write over and Over Again
I’m Awake in the Infinite Cold
That You Sing to me Over and Over again
So I lay my Head back down
And I lift My Hands and Pray to be Only Yours
I Pray to be Only Yours
I Know Now You’re my Only Hope
“The truth is, I’m glad I came, so I could meet you,” Nickolette said, and then looked into Nick’s brown sparkling eyes, which looked like two shining diamonds.
“I’m happy I came too, because if I didn’t I wouldn’t have met my dream girl, the girl I want to take to the prom,” Nick said his voice full of promise.
They danced for about an hour, even when the prom was over, the people who were staring earlier were in awe.
“Hey, Nick, the prom has been over for about an hour,” Nickolette said, and then saw that Joe, Kevin, Amber, and Rachel were still sitting there watching them, all of them with wide smiles on their faces.
“I know, its just I want to make up for the time we didn’t dance,” Nick said, and then turned towards Nickolette.
And gave her a kiss on the cheek
Hope you liked it!!!
