Chapter 6
"Come on Nick! I want to see everything." Cristy said as she plopped out of the tour bus. But Nick wouldn't budge. His eyes were glued to the doorway. "Hello? Nick? Hurry up! I don't want to wait anytime."
She looked up at Nick. What's wrong with Nick? Cristy thought. Then she glanced at the door. Joe?! How is Joe here?! He's suppost to be at the concert. Is it already over? And how did he get home?! We took the tour bus! Where's Kevin?! Is he here?
Cristy ran up to Joe and opened the door. "Joe? How are you here? Why were you so mean to Frankie?! And more importantly Nick!"
"Whoa. Slow down! One question at a time, and please..... no autographs!" Joe laghed. Cirsty, on the other hand, was mad! Really mad. "Whatever! How could you be so...." She was trying to think of a good word. Mean? No, way too..... childish, I guess. Stupid? Too obvious. Hummmm......
"Awsome? How can I be so awsome? I just do my best! Some people are just born awsome!" Cristy rolled her eyes. "Are you serious? How could you be so...... stupidly mean," She didn't have time to think of another word to describe Joe's stupidity. "You made Frankie cry, you kicked Nick out in the rain, your stupid, and your mean!" Then, Nick finally got out of the tour bus. "What's going on?" He said, finally. "Joe problems?"
"That's warning one!" Joe said holding out his fist. "Umm.... yeah! He's mean!" She said pointing at him. "Oh, that's just normal Joe. He's always like that." Nick said smiling. He always loved testing his brother. "Warning two!" Joe said.
"Oh really?" Nick said. "How many warnings do I get? For future reference." Cristy smiled trying not to laugh. "You get three. And by the way, you kinda already have warning three." Joe said rolling up his sleves. Nick's eye's widened as he ran into the house and up the stairs. Joe followed. Cristy looked up the stairs to see if she could se Nick from there. No luck, though. She frowned and waited paiciently. She heard Nick scream a couple of times. A couple of thuds. And Joe saying all sorts of stuff.
Then, Joe trotted down the stairs as if nothing had just happened. "So......" Cristy said. "Where's Nick?"
"Oh, he'll be fine." Joe said dusting his hands off. "That takes care of him for a while." Cristy folded her arms and looked up at him. "Where Nick?" She said again. Joe sighed and said, "He's upstairs under the bed in his room." Cristy looked stunned. "Under the bed?" She said shaking her head. "Desperate." Is all she said and walked up the stairs.
"Nick? Are you okay?" Cristy said. "I'm sorry if I did anything wrong." Nick who was now sitting on top of the bed, now smiled and said. "You always say your sorry when your always so innocente. Don't say your your sorry. It's not your falt."
Cristy sighed. "I wish that was true. If you never met me and we didn't go to the fair and have a picnic you would have already have been home before they even got there and you might have been able to prevent all of this." She sat on top of the bed with Nick. "I'm truely sorry, Nick." Nick held her hand and looked in Cristy's eyes. "Everything happens for a reason, Cristy. Mabey we were ment to meet each other. But all I know is other than Joe shoving me under the bed, I had a great time." Cristy smiled. And now she wispered, "Thanks."
