Chapter 7
Nicks Point of View
The next thing I knew my jaw fell into my lap. “You’re… RealMe?” I managed to get out. Millions of things were flooding through my mind at that very moment.
“Yeah,” Victoria said with a laugh.
I debated whether or not I should tell her I was Jman. I mean I could but something was telling me not to. It would make my identity known. Being Jman allowed me to be unknown unlike my real life. I gave me a chance to be a nobody.
“So you’re telling me that you are part of one of the best duos on the site?” I ended up saying.
“You could say that.” She said with a blush.
“ Wow, that is so awesome. You have to tell me some of your secrets.” I said with a laugh, playing along like I didn’t know a thing.
“I could, but then I wouldn’t be one of the best players on the site,” She exclaimed, “I will tell you this though, I wouldn’t be anywhere near where I was now if it wasn’t for Jman.”
When she said that I couldn’t help but grin foolishly. She just said that I was a remarkable player and I couldn’t help but be pleased that I finally had something that no one would know about me. I was disappointed that I couldn’t even tell my best online friend that I was who I was, but I knew I would regret it if I did. After that we discussed several other things about our favorite site.
“Well I really need to get going. My parents are going to freak if I’m not home soon and I am pretty sure I have stayed past my welcome.” Victoria said an hour later.
“Wow it is already eleven,” I exclaimed, “Well it was really nice getting to know you” I added after I gave her a hug.
“Yeah it was really nice meeting you but if you two weren’t so busy being computer nerds we would have gotten to know you a little better as well.” Joe said also giving her a big hug.
Lastly she gave Kevin gave a hug and before I knew it she was gone out the door she had entered what seemed like such a short time ago.
My brothers and I walked to our tour bus and the whole way over I was contemplating what had just happened. I had just met my best online friend and I didn’t even tell her who I was.
That night as I feel asleep in my bunk I dreamt of defeating monsters with RealMe. However, instead of dreaming of her character I dreamt of her and after one particular defeat we kissed.
