okay i lied here's chapter three:
Chapter Three
A couple minutes later after the movie started Nick came up to the front and sat down next to me.
“Hey” he said
“Shh...” I said it was one of my fav. parts of the movie. After the part was over I turned to Nick
“Why aren’t you hanging the guys?” I asked
“I didn’t feel like hanging with them, I wanted to hang out with you” Nick said “why aren’t you?”
“I don’t know, don’t feel like it” I said “remember the first time we watched this movie at the theater?” I asked
“yea” he said “we thought it was the best movie ever and everyone else was like that was kinda stupid”
“Nick, stupid is a mean word” I said
“wow” he said “you watch too many movies”
“there’s no such thing as watching too many movies” I said “t.v. yes, movies no”
He just laughed
“this is definitely in my top five” I said “along with…”
“Edward Scissorhands, Pay It Forward, Juno and My Girl” Nick finished for me
“yea” I said surprised he knew that “how’d you know?”
“you’ve told me like fifty times” he said
“I have?’ I asked
“yep” he said
“hmmm, are you sure?” I asked
“yea” he said
“when?” I asked
“like when we used to lay in bed together and just talk” he said
“oh yea” I said reminiscing “we haven’t done that for a while, like a year”
“maybe we’ve been able to sleep better” he said
I snorted
“what?” he asked
“I haven’t been sleeping well at all” I said
“really? Neither have I” Nick said “I just always thought you were sleeping when I looked down from my bunk to your bed”
“nope” I said “I was probably awake and you could’ve come even if I was sleeping” I told him
“I don’t know, I thought it’d be awkward” he said
“it’s only awkward if you make it awkward” I said “but my lips hurt real bad” I recited with the movie
This time Nick snorted
“what?” I asked
“you’re talking and then all of a sudden ‘my lips hurt real bad’” he said laughing. I started laughing too.
“that’s just the way we are, totally random” I said
“especially you” he said “you’re probably the randomest person I know, besides Joe”
“Haha, Joe IS pretty random” I said “like that one time when he randomly asked ‘Do pink elephants fly?’”
Nick laughed “that… was you” he said between breaths of laughter
I thought for a sec “oh yea” I said remembering my random outburst “it was and nobody answered me”
“that’s because we were all too busy laughing” Nick said. I pouted “okay, okay, yes they do happy now?”
“I guess” I said He pushed me gently “of course I am!” I said
“good” he said “maybe you ARE the randomest person I know”
“yesss” I said
“Nicole Nick! You have to watch this!” Garbo called from the back
Nick looked at me and I looked at him
“I suppose we should” he said standing up and then pulling me up. He crouched over slightly “need a ride?” he asked
“sure” I said I got onto his back and he carried me to the back and then dropped me onto Jack, John, Ryan and Garbo who were sitting on the couch. Garbo started tickling and I fell off the couch onto the floor as Garbo continued
“stop Garbo!” I said out of breath and tears in my eyes from the laughter. I got up and Nick looked like he could fall over from laughing at me
“stop Nick” I said hitting him
“oh you’re asking for it” he said putting his fists up
“you can’t beat up a girl” I said
“I don’t see any girls” he said
“I do” I said pointing at Nick then we were on the ground wrestling as the guys went crazy. Nick put his knees on each side of me and held down my wrists
“1-2-3!! HA, Nick wins!!” Garbo said putting up Nick’s arm Nick got up then helped me up
“You guys are so immature” Kailey said
“Deal with it” I said “wait, Garbo why did we come back here?” I asked remembering
“oh, yea, Joe versus Frankie on Guitar Hero” Garbo said
“oh” I said looking at the tv seeing that Frankie was winning “aww, poor Joe is gonna get beat by a 7-year old” I said
“Am not!” Joe said. Just then the song ended and Frankie really did win
“Ha, told you!” I said
“I let him win” Joe said
“right” I said sarcastically
“you’re just asking for it” joe said putting down the guitar and putting up his fists
“I’m so scared” I said sarcastically
“Stop!” Kailey shouted getting up and standing between me and Joe “Do you guys ever like not fight?” she asked
“we aren’t really fighting. We are just pretending” I said like I was explaining it to a three year old
“I’m not 3” she said
“prove it” I said she didn’t say anything “that’s what I thought” I said and did the Jonas snap in her face
“get away from me” she whined walking over to Joe who put his arm around her waist. I felt the jealousy and anger sweep over me. They were smiling and whispering to each other
“Nicole?” nick asked “earth to Nicole” he said waving his hand in front of my face and I came back to reality
“what?” I asked turning to Nick
“nothing, just making sure you’re alive” he said
“barely” I whispered so nobody could hear me
“what?” Nick asked
”Nothing” I said. Nick raised his eyebrows
“I’m just gonna go finish watching the movie” I said
“okay” he said looking confuzzzled I went back to the front and sat on the couch consumed in what just happened. I really was jealous, I wanted Joe so bad… but I had to get rid of kailey first. I started thinking of different ways to get rid of her when the thought of Joe’s southern accent from an interview filled my mind. I smiled.
