okay i'll just post chapter nine cause i have it on my computer

Chapter Nine

I laid there for probably 5 minutes when somebody knocked on the door. I got up and opened it. it was Joe.

“come on” he said holding out his hand. I took it and closed the door behind me as I walked out into the hallway. He started running down the hall so of course I had to, too.

“where are we going?” I asked

“you’ll see” he said. We got to the end of the hallway and Joe opened the door to the left. We walked up a few flights of stairs. He opened the door in front of him and walked through it as I followed. We were on the roof

“whoa” I said looking out into the horizon

“I know” Joe said. He pulled me so we were a few feet from the door. He looked down and realized he was still holding my hand. He looked up and me as he quickly pulled his hand away

“sorry” he said

“what for?” I asked “maybe i…umm…liked it” I said blushing furiously

“did you?” he asked

“yea” I said without looking at him

“what happened to ‘I don’t like you in that way Joe’?” he asked

“that was when I was 12 and still thought dating was stupid” I explained

“oh, so what do think of dating now?” he asked

“dating inn general or you?” I asked

“both” he said

“well, in general it’s alright, well more than alright, usually it’s wonderful. and you? I’d love too” I said looking up at him as a huge smile spread across his face

“so it’s official?” he asked

“I guess so” I said smiling bigger than I ever had. He looked into my eyes and started leaning closer until our lips brushed against each others lightly before he leaned in more and pushed more forcibly. Someone cleared their throat behind me Joe broke apart and I turned around. It was Nick.

“umm…it’s almost time for lunch” he said, sounding like he was close to tears and he left

“what’s up with him?” I asked Joe

“no idea” Joe said “let’s go eat” he said grabbing my hand and we walked down the stairs and into the hotel restaurant and found the others. Joe and i sat down

“hey” Joe said

Everyone replied at the same time with their hey’s and hello’s back to Joe

“where’ve you been?” Kevin whispered across the table to us

“the roof”  Joe replied

“oh”Kevin said and went back to eating after me and Joe finished we got up and Kevin did too

“Joe, I need to talk to you, alone” Kevin said

“o-kay?” Joe said “Nicole, I guess I’ll see you later”

“yea” I said, as Joe and Kevin left. I left too, I was going to follow them but decided not to because I had no idea which way they had gone. I decided to take the stairs so I walked down the hallway and opened the door and inside I heard Kevin’s voice. I froze where I was and listened…

Chapter Ten

“what the heck Joe?” Kevin asked

“what?” Joe asked

“what were you and Nicole doing on the roof?” Kevin asked

“Nothing” Joe said

“then why would Nick be almost crying?” Kevin asked

“I dunno” Joe said

“Joe tell me or…or…”Kevin said

“or what?” Joe asked

“I don’t know, I’ll punch you in the face” Kevin said threateningly

“okay, okay” joe said giving in “we kissed”

“what?!” Kevin shouted

“shh” Joe said

“you kissed?” Kevin asked

“yea, and now we’re official” joe said

“Joe, you’re so stupid” Kevin shouted

“why?” joe shouted back

“you know why” Kevin said. I heard a door open and close from above. I closed the door I had open and walked back down the hallway to the elevators, I was trying to process all of what I had just overheard. Why would Nick be almost crying? I pushed the up button mindlessly without realizing it already been pushed.

“hey” Nick said behind me, causing me to jump

“hey” I said turning around “you scared me”

“sorry” he said

“it’s okay” I said “so what’s going on?”

Nick shrugged “nothing” he said

“that’s pretty sweet” I said

“yea” he said. We stood there awkwardly waiting for the elevator and when it came we both walked on

“so” I said

“yep” he said

I so badly wanted to say ‘awkward’ but resisted.

“do you know what’s up with Kevin and Joe?” I asked Nick

“what do you mean?” he asked

“well I overheard them arguing” I said

“oh” he said “well, I don’t know”

We got to our floor and the doors opened and Kailey was waiting there all packed. Me and Nick walked off and past Kailey as she got on

“bye” Nick said

“bye” she said

“buh bye” I said

“whatever” she said and the elevator doors closed and Kailey? She was gone… forever!!!

“yippee!!” I shouted throwing my hands in the air and jumped around

“what?” Nick asked

“she’s gone! She’s gone!” I shouted as I grabbed his hands and we jumped around but then he stopped

“what?” I asked stopping too

“nothing” he said smiling

“okay” I said. We walked down the hall to our room and entered. As I came in I saw a small box on the bed. I went over a picked it up and read ‘to Nicole, now open the box!’ I opened the box and inside was another note and it said: ‘downstairs will be a cab at exactly one o’clock p.m. for you, get in and there will be another note’ I looked up

“who’s it from?” Nick asked

“It doesn’t say… it’s probably from Joe” I said

“what does it say?” he asked.

“just that a cab will pick me up at one” I said

“that’s in like 5 minutes” he said

I looked at the clock, it really was 12:55

“you’re right” I said “bye” I said as I grabbed my purse and left to go downstairs to wait for my cab.
