Chapter Four
When You Look Me In The Eyes
The couples are all sitting happily together leaving Mads, Hayden and Stephani alone. Well not really alone but without lovers. Not that they mind they are just so happy to be spending time with their best friends it doesn’t mater to them.
“Are you ticklish here,” Joe asks his fingers moving around the skin of Keiko’s neck?
“Joe you know I am,” Keiko giggles smacking his hand.
“What about here,” Joe asks moving his fingers to her knee?
“Joe stop it,” Keiko says squirming.
“Nick you would never tickle me to submission would you,” Loes asks watching Keiko and Joe?
“No… But I might just happen to bring broccoli around once or twice,” Nick answers.
“You wouldn’t,” Loes says her mouth open in a gasp.
“I would,” Nick replies as he touches her nose.
“Oh you are pure evil,” Loes says before leaning in.
She stops a centimeter short of kissing him and then pulls away. Nick looks shocked at his girlfriend and she smiles widely.
“I don’t appreciate being threatened with broccoli Nicholas. So if you bring broccoli into it you get no kisses,” Loes tells him before turning to the TV screen.
“She’s good,” Cara says with a giggle to Kevin.
“That she is. She knows how to work Nick down to that he is in I hate you mode but she knows that he loves her. And he knows she bates him plus they are pretty much perfect. They’ve been together for almost a year and I really don’t see them breaking up ever,” Kevin answers.
“And what about us,” Cara smiles to Kevin.
“I see us going and getting Starbucks,” Kevin replies pulling her to her feet.
“Oh do you now Mr. Starbucks radar,” Cara asks looking him straight in the eyes?
“When you look me in the eyes and tell me that you love Starbucks! Everything’s alright when you’ve gone with me for coffee,” Stephani, Mads and Hayden all sing before giggling.
Kevin sends the three girls a look and they start to laugh along with Cara, Keiko, Joe, and Nick.
“It’s not funny Starbucks is a very serious matter,” Loes tells them.
“Okay, okay… who wants some Starbizzucks,” Stephani says with a smile.
“Oh heck yes,” Kevin says loudly.
Everyone starts to laugh and they all agree on Starbucks. Once there they boys order for everyone not that it’s needed. They go to Starbucks enough when they are home and the girls when they aren’t that everyone knows their orders by heart now. It only takes everyone twenty minutes to realize that Stephani is no longer sitting with them at the table. So Nick decides to call her.
‘Stephani Elizabeth! It’s the littlest best friend calling you! You know the dead sexy one with the curls. Not the old guy but the young one. WONDERSTEPHO Pick up your phone unless you are doing something completely and totally disgusting.’
That’s what they hear from across the room. Stephani is sitting with a group of ten boys. In fact she is in the middle of the group of boys. Rolling her eyes Stephani stands up and looks at everyone from across the room.
“We were wondering where you were,” Joe shrugs.
“You are retarded. I do mean that. Now I am going to sit back down and enjoy these boys company. Then I will be back to see you,” Stephani says before sitting back in the middle of the boys.
“She works fast,” Cara says softly.
“She knows them we went to school with them before we graduated besides it is a small town and there isn’t much to do except Starbucks and movies. Besides she’s dated three of those boys before,” Mads replies.
“No way,” Cara says shocked.
“Yea the three blond boys. She has a thing for blonds. I never understood why I mean there are some handsome brunette boys around here,” Loes says with a smile at Nick.
“There really are,” Keiko mutters biting her lip.
