| Spring Break '08, It Changed My Life (CHAPTER THREE POSTED, 3/21) |

Prologue
I walked out of the house, slinging my black messenger bag over my shoulder as I saw a little girl about seven with curly dark red hair the same shade as mine, hopping up and down next to the car. "Patricia, calm yourself." I said, flipping my straight dark red hair over my shoulder. I helped her get into the mini van, then turned to my mom. "I need to pick up Brittany, so I'm taking my truck." I said. "Alright, Lindsey, but you do know the way right?" Momma asked. "Yeah, I do. Are we meeting at Denny's at 7:00 P.M. as always?" I asked. "Yeah, and you and Brittany are stopping for lunch right?" Momma asked. "Yeah. But I need money for food and gas." I said.
Momma reached into the car and pulled her wallet out of her purse, handing me the money. "Okay.....Momma, I'm leaving now." I climbed into my truck and drove down to Brittany's house. Brittany was fourteen, and madly in love with the Jonas Brothers. She loved Nick more then anything. I honked the horn once I pulled up to her house. She walked out with her bags, wearing white shorts and a pink Jonas Brothers tee shirt, which contrasted much with my white shorts and black Boys Like Girls shirt. "BRITTANY KAY KELLOGG! GET YOUR BROWN HAIRED BLUE EYES SELF IN THIS CAR!" I yelled. In a sarcastic tone, Brittany yelled back. "LINDSEY LEANNE CALDWELL! YOU AND YOUR DARK REDHEADED HAZEL EYED SELF NEEDS TO BE QUIET!" I rolled my eyes at her as she got in the front seat, placing her stuff in the back with mine. She popped my Boys Like Girls CD out of the CD player and put in her Jonas Brothers CD. "Must you play that stupid CD everywhere you go? I mean, what's the big deal with them anyway? They're so overrated!" I said.
I tried to block out the Jonas Brothers as we drove for four hours, but it didn't seem to work. And surprisingly, I started liking the song called Hello Beautiful. But I couldn't wait to get to the hotel. It was the start of Spring Break '08.

Chapter One
Brittany and I stopped at a MacDonald’s at around 12:00 PM, getting some fries and a Coke, because neither of us was really hungry. We drove for a while, and soon the Jonas Brothers CD was over for the second time. “Can we listen to Boys Like Girls now please?” I asked. Brittany huffed. “Fine.” I popped it in and began singing along to ‘Five Minutes to Midnight.”
We soon got to Denny’s at exactly 7:00 PM. We ate and left again, getting to the hotel at 8:30. When we got there, we went to our hotel rooms, my mom and dad were sharing a room with Brittany’s parents, and our little sisters were in that room too. We went to bed at 9:30 because we were so tired, but Brittany and I woke up extra early so we could go swimming. I changed into my black and white bikini, with the polka dotted skull on the top. The bottoms were black with polka dotted skulls all over them.
Brittany’s bikini was very different. Her’s was pink and white with hearts. I grabbed my bag and I pinned up my hair as we walked out in the lobby. Brittany screamed loudly and pulled me behind a plant. “What is it Brittany Kay?” I asked her in a hushed tone, for the fact that I was really embarrassed now.
“It’s…..the…..Jonas…..Brothers!” She said between breaths. I gave her a look. “So…that means we can’t so swimming?” I asked. “They’re shirtless.” She said, sounding like a two year old. “I can see that Brittany. And we’re wearing bikinis.” I said. Brittany rolled her eyes. “We’re going.” I said, grabbing her arm and pulling her up.

Chapter Two
I dragged Brittany the whole way to the pool. “Come on now Chica! We came here to have fun, and you might get to meet the Jonas Brothers! Isn’t that your biggest dream after all?” I asked, “And hey, they’re shirtless!” I wiggled my eyebrows, giving her a suggestive look. Brittany rolled her eyes. She tried to side-step to leave, but I stepped in front of her. “H-h-hey! And that one curly haired one is staring at you! Which on is he? Joe or something?” I said, trying to get her mind off being embarrassed. She turned and looked excitedly. “No, that one would be Nick. Joe is the one staring at you.”
I looked back at the Jonas Brothers. Two of them were sitting on the pool’s edge, and the other one was in the pool right in front of them. The one that was apparently Joe looked away as I looked up. He was actually…..and I can’t believe I’m saying this…..VERYYYYYYY good looking. He looked back up at me through his hair and smiled slightly, looking back down at his brother. “Wow.” I whispered under my breath.
I looked around them, seeing a drink stand. “H-he-hey Brittany, you-you want a drink?” I asked. Brittany soon understood. “Ye-yeah, I do.” We linked arms and walked over to the drink stand. We had our backs facing to them, and we tried not to even look at them, even though it was hard. I ordered a water bottle, and so did Brittany. We opened them up, took a sip, and then turned back.
We heard a splash and then a “Hey, wait up!” We turned. Joe and Nick were walking towards us. “Hey.” Nick said. “Hey.” Brittany replied. Joe rubbed the back of his neck as if he was nervous. “So….do you…..c-come her often?” he asked. His shoulders slumped and he blushed as he muttered to himself, “That was stupid!”
“Well, actually, yes. Every spring break.” I said. I smiled at him and he smiled back. We began walking, and we stopped once again in front of the pool, very close to the edge. We began having a slight conversation, and I crossed my left foot behind my right one. My left foot slipped and I began to fall backwards. Joe grabbed my hand, sending tingles up my arm and through my entire body. I was breathing hard.
“Th-thanks.” I said. “No problem.” He replied.
