"ASHL-AY! Look out!" Nick said, running into me, causing me to trip, which led to falling in the pool.
"Nicholas. Jerry. JONAS!" I screamed, coming out of the water. I was DRENCHED.
"What'd he do this time?"
I turned to the door, and saw my other friends, Jessica and Nick's older brother, Joe, walk out on the patio.
"I pushed her in the pool." Nick said, smugly.
Joe burst out laughing, and Jessica held back a fit of giggles, noticing that I wasn't too happy about being in a pool, in my clothes.
"Why?" Joe asked, between laughs
"She looked like she wanted a swim."
Even I had to laugh at that. In all the interviews, Nick acted like he was the quiet one. 'QUIET' was ONE way to describe him. Maybe he just saved all his dork-ness for us.
US was me, of course, Nick, Jess, Joe, Kevin, who was Nick's other brother, Ashlynn, who was Kevin's girlfriend and occasionally Jazzlyn, who was Ashlynn's best friend. We were a tightly knit group, and it was always hard when the boys went on tour.
Nick would come over, and tell me he would be leaving for a long period of time, in a SHORT amount of time. Sometimes I felt like crying. Nick was my best friend, and if I hadn't had met him doing that show on Broadway all those years ago, I don't know what I would do.
But enough about me. You're probably wanting the facts about everyone else.
Kevin; the older brother type. He ALWAYS looked out for me, and he was the best to talk to if you were feeling down. He was going out with his long-time crush, Ashlynn, and VERY happy about that. Ashlynn was awesome to talk to, because it was also hard for her when the boys went on tour.
Joe; the insane one. Once in an interview, Nick said something about Joe being crazy. That is 100% true. Joe IS crazy. But he's amazing. He can make you laugh harder then you have in ages just spending an hour with him. He would never admit it, but he was crushing on Jazzlyn, Ashlynn's friend. Everyone always thought he liked Jessica, but really, they were just friends. Because Jessica was smitten with a certain CELEBRITY boy, who she met through Nick, Kevin and Joe.
That was one of the perks of being friends with famous people.
But one of the downsides was that girls all over were 'in love' with them.
Don't get me wrong, I don't want to go OUT with one of the Jonas boys. Ew.
But their girlfriends COULD get a bit annoying.
And I'm not talking about Ashlynn. I totally love her.
Joe is single (for now), so I can't conplain about HIS girlfriend.
Which leaves...
Ding Ding Ding!
Nick.
Nick was going out with a girl named-
Hey Hey, you you, I don't like your girlfriend!
I smirked to myself, still wading in the pool. I checked behind me, and saw Jess and Joe high-five each other. That was Nick's ringtone for Janie. His girlfriend. We had changed it the night before, picking lyrics that described our TRUE feelings.
Or maybe we just weren't able to find Ding-Dong the Wicked Witch is Dead.
Janie was...a 'wicked witch.'
She was clingy, rude to EVERYONE but Nick, and just flat out annoying.
She ACTED like she was trying to be nice to me, around Nick of course. But when he left, it was full on WITCH.
"Okay! See you tonight!" Nick said, hanging up his phone, turning to us.
"Guys, I'm going over to Janie's house, I'll be back soon, c-"
"Nick!" Jessica shouted, looking annoyed
"Yeah?"
"You and Joe and Kevin are LEAVING. In a WEEK. FOR SIX MONTHS! Do you just wanna ditch us for JANIE?"
"I'm still here." Joe mumbled, holding back a laugh.
"YES, Joe, we know. But NICK obviously likes Janie better then us." I sad, KNOWING that would convince him. And of course, it worked.
"Fine guys, you're right. I'd rather hang out with you, a-JOE! Who are you texting?"
I looked over at Joe, who was sending a text to someone.
"No one."
Suddenly, Kevin, Ashlynn and Jazzlyn ran outside, and Kevin pushed Nick into the pool.
"Nice, man!" Joe said, and high-fived his older brother.
Nick swam up, spitting out water.
"Did you plan that?"
Jazzlyn nodded, laughing at Nick. He was soaking wet.
"So I'm guessing that was pay-back."
"So who's gonna pay me back for THIS?" Jazzlyn asked, pushing Joe into the pool.
"I will!"
Kevin leaned over and pushed Jazzlyn in, only to be pushed in by Jessica. Who was then pushed in by Ashlynn. Pretty soon, only Ashlynn was dry, and not in the pool.
"Hi guys!" Frankie said, running out. He lost his balance and-
"Sorry Ashlynn."
Now we were all stuck in the pool, soaking wet laughing as hard as we could.
"Cannon-ball!"
Frankie jumped in, too. I don't think I'll ever be able to swim in the pool without laughing again.
Joe and Kevin got the 'brilliant' idea to play chicken, so we all partnered up. Joe and Jazzlyn, Kevin and Ashlynn, Jessica and Frankie and me and Nick.
I got onto Nick's shoulders, but I must have had REALLY bad timing or something.
"Nick? What do you think you're doing with, with, UGH!"
Janie had marched into the backyard, with her obnoxiously pink, perfectly manicured nails, perfect hair and perfect little outfit. Complete with perfect wristlet and perfect sunglasses.
"Uh, sorry Jaine."
"SORRY isn't gonna cut it, Nicholas. You said you'd meet me at my house like, half an hour ago. I have been waiting, and you choose to hang out in the pool with these, these, WHALES."
"Theres a whale, in the pool, with-"
"Not helping, Joe." I whispered
"Sorry." He mumbled.
"Look Nick," Janie said, glaring at all of us, "Meet me at my house tonight. At seven. Show or its OVER."
With that, she marched away on her perfect shoes.
"Gee Nick, she's a real charmer."
"Uh huh.." Nick mumbled, running his hand through his hair.
Janie had pretty much ruined it. We all got out of the pool, and went to dry off. I lived right by the Jonas', next door actually, so Ashlynn, Jazzlyn and Jessica came over to my house to borrow clothes. I was guessing we wouldn't see Nick until tomorrow, because he had a date with Miss Perfect, but we could still hang out with Joe and Kevin.
