HOLLYWOOD LOVELETTERS:
HOLLYWOOD LIGHTS [PART1]
Chapter 1
“Over here Miss Smith!” I heard a man shout. I turned around to see another interviewer with a camera I stoped and smiled.
“How excited are you that your first big screen movie is set to be a major movie motion hit and is predicted to break the box office records?” Before I could even answer my costar, Zac Efron, had started his response.
“We are so happy that all of our hard work and dedication paid off. Aren’t we Haley?” I nodded silently, a bit over whelmed with all the flashes of the cameras and the questions that we being tossed out at me.
“Who designed your dress?” a reporter asked commenting on my silky red strapless dress.
“Uh… Forever 21?” I stammered
Everyone around me started cracking up as I fought to keep a fake smile on my face. Zac grabbed my hand and pulled me away from the paparazzi. While filming the movie we got really close, like best friend status since we were the only kids on set our age, except this one girl named Amber. Amber didn’t like me from the start because I got the lead, the part she wanted. I didn’t make friends with girls very easily. I had one “girl” friend and I haven’t seen her much since the movie started shooting. It was always much easier for me to make guy friends. Girls would take one look at me and point out the million things that we wrong with me. My skin was dry and oily at the same time, my hair was never done, always pulled back in a ponytail, my bangs had split ends from the flat iron, and my eyeliner was always smeared because I’d rub my eyes forgetting it was on. But not TONIGHT. Tonight I looked totally different.
It was the LA premier of my movie “Last Dance” and I was all dressed up. Professionals did everything. Hair, makeup, the odd eyebrow plucking.
“Thanks for saving me” I said to Zac.
“They can be brutal,” he said, then looked over to me and whispered, “You look beautiful tonight.”
A reporter saw him whispering in my ear and shouted, “Are you two a couple!?!” Others started snapping pictures of us still holding hands.
I heard some one else shout, “First Vanessa, now Haley?” We both ran to the safety of the theater and once we got it started cracking up.
“I can see the headline now ‘Zac and Haley: lovebirds of the moment’” I said in a manly voice. Zac started busting up.
“What’s so funny Zac?” I heard a familiar voice ask, but to me is sounded more like nails on a chalkboard.
“Oh, hey Amber,” Zac said trying to be welcoming, even though he knew how much Haley disliked her, but didn’t know why. “Nothing really, so what’s up?”
“I was just making sure I’ll see you at the after party, it’s gonna be a blast!” Amber flirted in her high pitched voice, still not even acknowledging the fact that I was standing there.
“Yea of course all the cast members are going” Zac said matter of factly.
“Okay, see you there then” Amber smiled, then walked off.
“Nice talking to you” I scream after her, just loud enough so she would hear it.
