Okay, so as the title says, this is the one-shot sequel to the Baby Come On, one shot. If you haven't read that one, you probably won't understand this one.
Here is the link to it if you're interested. Comments on that one are welcomed as are comments on this one.

This is to Mel, who has amazing talent and skills. She has the power to make me laugh one minute and crying the next. I'm fully aware this sequel sucks, and I'm sorry that you probably won't like it.
We've Got This City Tonight
It took Melissa exactly three days, two hours, forty-five minutes and twelve seconds before she realized the mistake she’d made. She was sitting outside of her apartment building, having just gathered the final few boxes of her belongings. She couldn’t stand to be in this place after he did what he did. As she waited for her best friend to pick her up, the memories started to come in quickly.
She remembered him coming over and just talking.
She remembered the things she said. Her deepest secrets and fears told to this stranger who could have done anything. But he comforted her. Wanted nothing in return for her to be happy.
She remembered his face when he saw her that next morning, so full of love and hope. She remembered the way it fell when she couldn’t remember who he was.
Most of all, she remembered that somewhere in the drunken mess that were her thoughts that night, that she fell in love with him. But she only knew his first name.
Kevin.
She knew his feelings, thoughts, and mannerisms, but she didn’t know how to find him. All she knew was his first name, and that he was in a band. She was determined to find him, but she knew it would probably be a waste of time. But she wasn’t going to give up hope. She’d given up on lots of things before, but something told her he was worth the search.

Kevin couldn’t explain to his brothers why he was so depressed. For starters, he was pretty sure if he told them he was in love with a girl who would never remember him, they’d laugh. And then try to help, but only because they would feel bad for him. He didn’t need sympathy when his heart already felt tormented enough, thank you very much.
They’d asked him time and time again what was wrong, but he just shrugged it off. He took all of his frustrations out on his guitar, and though he didn’t smile during the concerts anymore, everyone noticed the dedication he had towards getting each note perfect. Eventually everyone decided to just leave him be, hoping he’d come around.
But when he could have everything he wanted, but the person he wanted the most was unattainable, he didn’t think he’d ever be the same again.

Melissa hadn’t forgotten her search for Kevin, but after two weeks, she was beginning to lose hope. It wasn’t until she happened to turn on the television and started watching a music video that was number one on TRL that she found him. The Jonas Brothers. He was Kevin Jonas. Though she’d heard of their music, and even bobbed her head to the catchy S.O.S. song, she’d never paid them any attention really. But as she watched the video, she realized how talented he was and how incredibly lucky she was that he even spoke to her, much less sit through her drunken babble.
She quickly raced to her laptop, signed on the internet, and looked for tour dates. As luck (or fate, she was determined to believe) would have it, they were going to be playing nearby in four days. What was even more uncanny was the availability of first row. She might have a chance to see him, and knowing who he was now, that would have to be good enough.

Another day, another show, and Kevin wasn’t any better for it. It had been three weeks, and he was still heartbroken. Things weren’t looking up for him either. As they pulled into the venue in a city all too close to where he’d met Melissa, he wondered if she ever did remember. If she did, what did she think? If she didn’t, would she ever? He tried not to think about it, but couldn’t help it as they walked over to the crowd waiting to see them. He forced a smile on his face, not wanting to let the fans down. His brothers patted him on the back, still unsure of what was wrong with him, but knowing he needed support.
He didn’t know the fake smile would be replaced with something all the more real. Walking up to a girl standing away from the crowd, he said hello. The girl was wearing a hoodie, but when she pulled the hood back and looked into his eyes, he realized who he was talking to.
“Melissa?” He breathed, afraid to believe his eyes, but wanting to desperately all the same.
“Kevin.” She muttered, leaning over the barrier to hug him. “Kevin, I remember. I remember everything.”
He gripped her tighter, not wanting to let go. After a few moments he pulled away, grinning. “Can we talk in a few minutes?” When she nodded, his heart felt lighter. He handed her a V.I.P. pass he happened to have in his pocket and told her where she needed to go.
Things were looking up.

Melissa walked over to the security guard, heart pounding in her chest. She was actually going to be face to face with the man she’d spilled her innermost thoughts and desires to. The man who was a famous rockstar. The man she’d fallen in love with. The security guard glanced at her pass before letting her in. She went down the small hallway Kevin told her would be there, and into a small room. She sat and waited a few minutes before someone walked in.
It was one of his brothers. She didn’t know their names, but it was the shorter one with a mop of curly hair similar to Kevin’s. He looked at her oddly, but didn’t say anything. She didn’t feel uncomfortable in his presence, but she was confused.
“Um, hi.” She finally said, startling them both.
“Hey,” he replied, looking at her. “Who are you?” He didn’t ask it in a rude way, but she was unsure how to explain herself.
Luckily she didn’t have to, because as soon as she opened her mouth to reply, the door opened again, and this time Kevin walked in. “Melissa!” He said, evidently still happy to see her. She couldn’t help but smile as he rushed over to her and took her hand. Sober, everything was much better and as she looked into his eyes, she could see the joy and love that was there.
The other two brothers looked at Kevin oddly, but after three weeks without a smile on his face, they were happy to see him so excited. They’d ask for details later. Telling him they’d be back in half an hour, the left the room, leaving Melissa alone with Kevin.
“Kevin,” she said, taking a deep breath and preparing herself for what was ahead. “I want to tell you thank you. For everything you did that night. If you hadn’t of came over and talked to me, there’s no way of knowing what could have happened. Thank you for helping me. I—you helped more than you’ll ever know.” Tears started to well in her eyes, and she looked at him, she saw one trickle down his face.
“I’ve never felt worse in my life than three days after I walked away from you. When the memories hit me so hard I almost passed out from the emotions. When I realized I told you everything about me, and that you’d done the same. When I realized you weren’t trying to get anything from me, but trying to help me.” The tears were flowing freely now, but Melissa didn’t care. “When I realized all you’d done, I never would have forgiven myself if I didn’t find you. When I realized I was in love with a man I’d probably never see again.”
Kevin was speechless. She felt the same? Wiping the tears from her eyes and his own, he took her hands in his and whispered, “When I first saw you in that room, I fell for you. Not for your actions, but the person I saw inside. I could tell you’d been hurt, and I wanted nothing but for you to be happy. I thought maybe I could make you happy. When you didn’t remember me the next day, it felt as if I’d been slapped in the face. Seeing you again, and hearing this from your beautiful voice makes everything better.”
Suddenly, she leaned into him and kissed him. She wasn’t forceful, but he quickly responded. It was passionate and loving, as they got rid of their heartache and pain and reveled in each other’s soft embrace. Sometime in that kiss, Joe and Nick came in, but quickly left when they saw what was happening.
When they finally broke free, they were both smiling through their tears. “I love you” they said at the same time. They both blushed and grinned, and talked about things.

The show that night was clearly the best performance ever given by the eldest Jonas brother. With his improved guitar skills and a huge grin on his face, he poured his heart and soul into his playing. But this time it wasn’t to distract himself. This time it was for the woman in the front row who didn’t know the songs, but knew who she was here for.
They met up after the show to say goodbye for a while. The tour would wrap up in two weeks, and they’d made plans to take a vacation together.
“So Egypt or Antarctica?” Kevin asked jokingly as they walked along the empty parking lot.
Smiling and truly happy, Melissa leaned into him and whispered. “We’ve got this city tonight, and each other. I’d go anywhere with you.” Leaning in to kiss him again, she could have sworn she saw another tear fall down from his eyes, but it could have been the lighting.
